Can't wait until the Bills offense finally starts clicking

The offense is doing just fine, but I agree it's not firing on all cylinders - too many 3 and outs, too many slightly misplaced balls or drops, too much pressure conceded on the edges. I trust them to clean up the little mistakes and get it going full throttle. When the offense gets going full throttle this team will be terrifying. I'm not saying we're playing poorly, I just believe strongly that we can be better than what we've been thus far.

You really seem to have an issue.  Others agree.  I stated I am "nitpicking", but they have been no where near the efficiency they were last year vs. Mia X 2, Seattle, SF, NE (Monday Night) & Denver.

Yes Houston was rain and he played well......

As for KC & the deep balls and commentary that is part of the reason he racked up yards.  He completed all but one of them.

Frankly the offense has been fine, then team is 4-1, but yep want to see 2020 Diggs for a starter and 375+ yards passing.......

You must be really fun to around at parties. Does putting your shoes on make you upset?

Let's try and help you out: You probably won't see the numbers of 2020 Diggs ever again, even though he's a better player. What you will see if the emergence of Dawson Knox and Emmanuel Sanders BECAUSE of him. Emmanuel Sanders has been so good for us.... why? Not only is he a pro bowl player but Diggs causes the other team to shade a safety to his side. It's this weird thing called being good and having options. He's averaging 75 yards a game down from 95 which is 1 catch a game, essentially.

Diggs is fine, our offense is number 1 in the league and we are tracking towards a historic season.... how the hell did some of you make it through the drought?

Amazing that we've face-stomped four teams in a row with two huge shut-outs and have the largest point differential by a large margin, and we're still looking for us to obliterate someone?

something like 41-3 at halftime maybe?

I've watched every game so far and it does seem like the offense, with a newly revived rushing attack and how about Dawson Knox, is on the verge of really busting out. Some team is going to absolutely be obliterated soon. Maybe this weekend.

It's funny that we have won the games we have won and by those scores....and yet we are still waiting for the team to really bust out.

I mean, we beat Miami 35-0 and I still thought there was a lot to be unhappy about in that game--lots of stuff to work on and fix as McDermott pointed out in his post-game PC.

If and when we put it together, you're going to see a SB winning team.

Now that we passed the KC test so well, I can't wait to see what we do against Tampa.

I think the DVOA rankings has them 12th or so in the league which seems about right…. Agree with your post. They haven’t clicked like they did last year but they’ve been more than fine thanks for a much improved defense to this point…. And their running game is much better.

Davis has been a non factor after a really solid rookie season.

I rather the defense has the rest that the secondary needs so letting the offense just plod a bit to give the d rest. Dl we got enough to rotate without a long rest,  secondary isn't as deep though cupboard isn't bare.  Josh can make the splash plays when needs to but enjoys watching his defense play lights out best seats in house right on the sideline.

I agree to a certain extent.  Josh hasn't been totally on in the short to intermediate stuff.  Some dropped balls and some non interference calls account for some of those.  Expecting to see 2020 Diggs is not realistic unless its the gameplan.  He is too known now and also there are too many real targets now.  The ball is going to be spread around a lot more.  Which to me is a good thing.  The best offenses IMO are ones that spread the ball and don't have just that one guy.

Now you are moving your goal post from 300 yards passing to 375.  While that may happen in a game its not realistic to ask for.  I think its kind of ridiculous to expect.  Especially since the run game is going to happen more.  They are correcting a problem with our last seasons post season offense.

Last year, Davis played much more than they expected due to Brown being out hurt.  This year with Sanders play, Davis just isn't needed that much.  It also seems they also have been going with 4 WR less than lat year so again reduces his snap count.

300 was unattainable for the Bills for 3 years (no other team did that), so yep I've moved the bar, because 300 is nothing unusual nowadays.  There have been 46 through 5 weeks (or 9.2/wk).  Already 13 over the 375 mark I threw out there.

I used 375 as Josh did it 4X's last year.

As stated I just think there is lot's of room for the passing game to improve & don't think it is at their 2020 level yet.

I just want to know what happened to the deep crossing routes.  They were such a big hit for us last year and you could make a two hour movie of just Bills receiver toe taps on the sideline.  I don't get it.

I think that stuff is coming.

Teams are also playing a lot more Man2. It'll open up game by game... you may see a ton of it this week and then not again for another 3. That's the one way I admire Daboll. His game plans vary drastically from week to week.

What he did last week with Moss was masterful.

Except Moss did drop one (as did Singletary).

As per the thread, not overly worried, just an observation that I think the offense has been a little off (vs. 2020).

Anyone else watch the first half of Tampa/Phil last night & the easy passes Brady had?

Yeah I watched him throw it to RB's out of the backfield for 20 years (excluding the years he had Moss)

And 200 yards in that first half.  Open receivers and pretty easy passes.  Regardless Tampa has an offense taking advantage of his skills.

On the other hand Hurts looked bad.

The 3rd quarter could have been the rain delay...and the rain.  But I agree that this offense still hasn't played their best ball yet.

Yep. Which shows how much the potential is insane,

Bad games, injuries, many factors can derail in one game, so reaching, let alone winning, the Superbowl is not given at all. But Bills are so well balanced, so talented including depth, the odds of them faltering in all phases in one game at a critical game are slim. Awesome!

While we have absolutely blown out 4 opponents, I still want more of a differential against the Pats**. I want Belichick smashing phones, headphones, clipboards and his son. I want pretty boy Jones' uniform full of grass and mud.

The offense is adjusting and not just running things back and just do the same thing. The league adjusts so adjust your offense before teams figure you out. Knox having a larger role, the running game and Sanders are being implemented into the offense and you kind of get the feeling that by mid-November the offense is going to have it all put together. The offense now has so many different ways it can go besides split them out four wide and have the WR's and Allen play pitch and catch. The team can run the ball more consistently and they have a tight end that can play well in the passing game. They are still playing very good offense but just working out the rough edges.
