Many of ESPN guys not so high.  Stephen A didn’t even have us in top 5, but he had Patriots there.  Get Up guys when asked if it’s not KC then who,  all on that panel picked the Browns.  I really don’t mind as I prefer to be under radar.

Surprised Stephen A didn't list the Knicks.

Hmm, not sure NFL players and coaches need media to show them how good their next opponent is.

You'd be surprised how many players know what the ex-players say about them on 24/7 NFL news cycles. These shows help form public opinions with fans. Endorsements come from the public's jersey consumption and social media involvement.

The return of nearly our entire offense from last season, and with upgrades at WR.

The upgrade of our pass rush during the draft.

Prediction of a better offense, plus better defense=SB contenders.

I still think Tampa is the team to beat, but I think we will wind up in the SB against them.

I think we're the trendy pick because reporters don't want to pick the obvious teams in Tampa and KC. So the big risk takers go all the way down to three, LOL!

However, here's a list of things that has changed.....

- This team was very new last season. So now, we have a second year together, both players and coaches, and a lot of young players too, to get much better. Both individually and together. I think this is pretty big.

- Emmanuel Sanders healthy and ready to go! He's a legit excellent #2 and another great weapon for Josh. Our four-wide package might be the best offense in the NFL right now.

- Cody Ford. Should the big guard finally find his game he could really help the run game and solidify the passing game.

- Josh Allen - He's definitely still maturing in all facets. That is, He's still getting better.

- The run game. Brian Daboll's whole offseason last season was to create a Star in Josh Allen. That took ALL his time last season. He worked only on pass blocking. He worked only on passing routes and passing plays. The run game fell to the way-side. Now, with a offseason to digest and a full spring and summer to work on everything together, the run game should be better.

- Our 23 year old RB is a man! And his coaches, both Leslie Frazier and Sean McDermott say it is time for him (and teammate Ed Oliver ) to make splash plays. I'm hoping the D is also more aggressive this year and that both players have more freedom to attack.

- Our coaches are maturing together. It wasn't that long ago that Sean McDermott was a rookie HC. He wasn't kidding then that there was a lot for him to learn. I also think he has (had?) a problem playing chefs HC and his former boss Andy Reid giving him far too much respect. It's time Sean beats him. This is also Brian Daboll's first successful attempt at  being an NFL OC and I'm certain he is learning in the playoffs. The whole team is learning about winning in the playoffs and what it is going to take. This is very real and what usually happens with young teams growing up.

- Lastly, we have really improved the DL over the last two years. AJ is in a way better position to help the Bills now going through his first real training camp. Efe Obada was signed and is going to help sooner or later. Great depth is a must for Super Bowl teams. This year, two more DEs were added and they both look good. Groot looks especially good and has what we need. Pure skill at pass rushing. All 8 of our DL is going to see equal time and it is a better 8 this year.

Did I miss anything?

Go Bills!

Written But not read....

You hit alot of points but I'm certain there are some others including one I'll add that I think is overlooked but Josh Allen is a positive posterboy for the league.  He comes across as a hard working regular guy who loves to play, wants to win,  and while he's competitive it sure seems like he's got alot of friends across the league.

He gets recognition amongst his peers that says alot and any alert nfl press should pick up on that.  I'm sure the ratings for Bills games may even reflect the popular appeal of Bills games even outside the primetime looks the Bills have shined on.  Who doesn't think Josh gained some fans after he stuffed them for Thanksgiving.

I won't be surprised if Allen starts getting more flags a la Brady as the NFL does seem to be more protective of popular star players.

Was it though?

It def was a reason, but I also think it was more so lack of speed defensively, WRs unable to get separation, and our offensive line got manhandled. Not sure any of that will get better, but Chiefs have a tough schedule, and the Bills schedule doesn’t look to be as tough so I think many pundits think if the Bills can get home field advantage and play the Chiefs at home they can/will beat them.

Well, unsurprisingly, in my opinion it was indeed. It's a defensible opinion.

The teams that kept the KC offense less potent last year all had the same M.O. They pressured him successfully.

The WRs "got manhandled" because they were all injured. And the teams that rushed Mahomes well by and large were able to keep their speedy recievers covered for the time it takes to rush well. Just not for three, four, five seconds. He had a ton of time to sit back there against us.

It wasn't the only problem we had but yeah, I think it was the worst.

And I believe the national media saw those two things and it changed their minds in the preseason. Nobody in the media believed our rookie DEs would pressure well the first year, or that Epenesa would be much better either. Then they saw in the preseason that we were damn good at pressure.

And there was some residual doubt that Allen might regress. And they saw last week that he very much didn't. It's not proven he can keep it up, but they saw that he looked like he might have even gotten better.

What changed?  We went from having generations of garbage QBs to a Top-3 in the league QB, and utterly garbage front offices to one of the better ones in the league.

The overall team talent level is higher now than it's been in 30 years.

That's what changed!

EVERYTHING....and the press is making note.

This is rocket science, it's because the Bills are finally fielding a good team again and no matter how hard some of the pundits pimp the Chiefs and Mahomes they aren't going to the next 15 superbowls.

I'm still concerned with how much national media love this team is getting and McDermott should be a serious COY candidate again if he keeps this team focused and can replicate last years type of success even if it don't end in a SB or championship.

Though there are some very vocal Buffalo haters, by and large America loves the Bills. Now that they are very good again, people are happy to jump on the bandwagon. The only true Chiefs fans are in Kansas and Missouri, and Tampa Bay without Brady is the definition of meh. Packers are beloved, but they have fallen short too many times lately.
