Joe's handlers wouldn't bother waking him with this news.

By the time they woke him and got the giant world map and rubber tipped pointer out to show him where it is, he'd be falling back to sleep.

Trump was mocked by the Left for trying to deal with North Korea.

Guess who's also laughing now Trump is gone?

C'mon, it's North Korea. We zip in, we pick him up, we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow, it's North Korea. It's like going into Wisconsin.

Negotiation requires someone rational on the other side of the table.  This murdering thug of a dictator is irrational and thus negotiations will never accomplish anything.  The only way to deal with him is by force; send in the troops and wipe him out.

You can’t honestly mean that.

I honestly do.  We are wasting time with this irrational nut, and if he dies his sister is just as bad if not worse.  They're going to fire a nuclear missile at us or our allies, it's just a question of when it happens.  I'd rather use the most powerful military in history in a proactive vs. retroactive manner.

We may have the first serious rift in our new administration. He’s a nut for sure, but his first instinct is self preservation. Like always, he’s just showing off for the new American administration (and the people that surround him in his ‘cabinet’). Exercise some patience. He’s not going anywhere and he hasn’t committed an act of real aggression. Provocation, yes. Aggression, no.

As an Independent I have some things I lean more one way than the other.  This one I lean way right.  No way I allow a mad man with a nuclear weapon to exist.  Take the nukes out now before he uses them.

Let’s hope we both have to turn our keys before we launch our rockets. 😉

my question is: who would be in line to replace him if he’s killed?   Or are you thinking the U.S. stays there and does some good ol’ fashioned nation building?

Oh, well I know I feel better now.

I guess I’m too busy being concerned about Russia and China to worry about Iran or NK.

I think we are too soft of a nation to win any kind of conflict with either of the former. All empires die. Just hope it’s a gradual relatively nonviolent transition.

I’ve lost any sense of patriotism. Our long and ever more corrupt government owns that.

It's happening now my friend.

A suicide drone is just a fancy sounding tomahawk missile. We’ve had the tech for 40 years.

Not really. A drone is usually controlled by data link.

A cruise missile is an independent actor once it's launched, although it can be adjusted a bit.

Point is that drones are not too hard to jam.

Flying a drone over a US carrier in the Persian Gulf is not a big deal, and there is no video of anyone on its wing, although there may well have been an "escort."

Either way, guarantee it was being tracked. Carrier task forces are far more "engaged" than the average person is aware of. Lots of boats. Lots of radar.

The only surprise here is China hasn’t yet egged on NK to start a fight with someone in the AP rim.

North Korea doesn't have that capability, and China would never go to the mat in support of that regime.

They absolutely could serve as a useful idiot to China. I don’t doubt it for a second.

A funny thing happens when you become a top three economic power with a total dependence on exports.

You kind of give on regimes that you might support publicly and philosophically, but the real world reality is that the Chinese know the NK regime is lunatic, and would never risk their economic vector to support them.

You have not passed the 30 year mark as a Bills fan?

For me we have to do some math.

So lets assume I became a fan at 5 years old.

60(current age)-5-7(years since I've not been a fan) = 48 years as a fan.
