MVP vote - Josh got 2nd most votes

Recommended Posts

I have a feeling Josh is more worried about getting the SB appearance/win as a team than individual accolades like this—that said, I fully support the upthread sentiment that it will still happen in due course. Rodgers had an otherworldly season for a QB on the wrong side of 35+, can we agree?

Roger's way operated IMO. I just don't like the guy.

not sure what the “rodger’s way” is but okay.

why don’t you like the guy? Because he’s not a complete robot in press conferences like the other 95% of the league? Because he’s actually honest from time to time?

Interesting that Mahomes got two more votes than Allen as far as "offensive player of the year."  Mahomes nauseating amount of weapons seemed to work against him as far as what the voters viewed as "value" to their team as far as the MVP vote goes.

Rodgers is know to be an arrogant jack ass, unkind to the little people he comes across, and 100% me first vs team first.  These are some of the reasons why I don’t like him.  Press conference demeanor is such an odd thing to hang your hat on, not sure why you think that would sour someone to him.

I think he is a big whiner.....whaaaaa they wasted the pick on my replacement instead of buying me a new toy

Whaaaaaa I lost at home in the playoffs and I want attention....will I retire? will I ask for a trade? just a spoiled little kid.

Reminder that Allen would've won MVP if he didn't hurt his shoulder.

I would be giddy if he throws for 5000 plus and gets 50TD's next year :)

Sure he had a good season....but he is still a whiner ;)

They did.  May have cost them a Super Bowl birth.  Tee Higgins or Chase Claypool would've been a nice weapon for Aaron to have.

Interesting that all of them were landslides (the only one with any drama was the DPOY).

Which makes me wonder, how much does the general national press narrative control this process? Do these people do any real homework and dig into the stats, the circumstances, etc.??? The one that really tips it off is not only did Stefanski win COTY, it was, again, a landslide. By all objectives measures, McDermott did more. But the vote not even close. Why?

Even more election fraud going on here than in a Presidential election.

For Stefanski, maybe because the Browns broke the playoff drought and gave the Chiefs a much better game than the Bills did?

As for your final comment, how was your tour of the Capitol building?😜

I understand if you don’t like the guy, amd they had a runnning game to compliment him, and Josh was hurt mid season, and Josh carried the team on his back, but Rodgers isn’t overrated.  He’s one of the best in the league and his previous years teams were flawed.  He deserves at least for this year, and Josh definitely was a strong second finishing ahead of Mahomes.

For the next decade we’re probably going to see Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, and maybe Burrow and Lawrence eventually ascending.  Just listening to Josh he may have liked the award, but the ring is what he’s chasing, and that means to me, we’re going to be in the playoffs for the next decade.  I fully trust McBeane to make excellent personnel decisions, and coaching decisions.  If Daboll and Allen are clicking this much in year 3, I can’t wait for year 4.

While I agree those players would be good choices he is 37 and you can't blame the team for thinking of the future.
