78thealltimegreat 971
Seems like he’s starting to get comfortable after being banged up. Can only hope he’s the between the tackles runner we desperately I do mean desperately need.
Call_Of_Ktulu 2,248
Moss had some burst, wiggle and hands today. If he starts running like Travis Henry I will be happy with that. He seems like the kind of RB that needs carries to get going.
NewEra 5,474
Me too. I was happy with what I saw from 2 of his 4 carries last week as well. I thought his playing strength might not equate in the nfl, his 3rd down conversation vs the chiefs really impressed me. Got the 1st on pure second effort strength. Miyagi-Do Karate 3,836
I actually think Moss is a slightly better version of Singletary. But I still think we need a Better back (someone bigger, stronger, faster to the hole). I was never a fournette fan, but watching him a little today, that’s sort of the guy we need. The guys we have aren’t featured backs.

If Moss can get to the second level then the defense better watch out.
LABILLBACKER 3,867
Singletary flat out can't catch a ball to save his life. Neither rb is fast so whoever can make routine catches out of the backfield wins.....I'd give Moss the edge. 1 2

Singletary is the better Runner although Moss is great if he gets to the second level. 20 receptions through 7 games is pretty good for a RB who can't catch. wvbillsfan 729
He looked like he was running in quicksand when he had the 30 yard gain. I get it, run blocking has been suspect. Our rbs aren’t doing much better than what is blocked either. No burst through the hole from any of them. Yeldon has come the closest. Moss did look smooth out of the backfield. 3
Utah John 664
Moss is more elusive than you think. He hasn't had that many touches. He doesn't break the defender's ankles with moves -- instead he breaks their arms by moving past them with force. I became a big Moss fan while living in Salt Lake City and watching Utah football. I was delighted the Bills drafted him and I think he'll be an asset for a long time to come. The problem with the running game isn't Moss or Singletary. It's the line.

There was a gaping hole today for Moss (and then another for Singletary) that I recall. Both guys hit those holes, were slow through them, and got mauled for minimal gain. I feel like there have been more holes and lanes there than we think (maybe not a ton— because, I agree, the oline hasn’t been great), but our RBs need to run with more power and decisiveness too. Locomark 783
Moss is getting more comfortable and it showed. He disappointed me on that long run though. He kept talking about making people make business decisions and he had some db standing at the 10 as the only thing between him and the goalline and be neither bowled him over or juked him or stiff armed him. He kind of gave in to a casual tackle. Where was the “business decision” there, it looked like he made it not the other way around..... On pace for a 43+ catch year. Pray tell, what are your metrics for those who can catch a ball to save their lives? Having 2 capable RBs as receivers to go with 3 high level WRs is a QBs dream. Beane has delivered receiving options for his maverick QB. Today showed we can play this type of game (short & accurate) in nearly all conditions. 2
GreggTX 857
Both RB's played well. This is the same Singletary that averaged an eye popping 5.1 yards per carry last year. We are not desperate. We just need to execute better.
billsfan714 270
I would never associate the word burst with Moss, unless you were comparing him to Tolbert.
Gene1973 754
It's tough to like anything comming out of the running game these days, good plays are few and far between. Edited October 26, 2020 by Gene1973

He is painfully slow overall, but painfully slow accelerating. When I was watching the SF backs, it was noticeable how much quicker those back are.
Kelsayrundefense 10
Moss has seemed pretty underwhelming to me. He was getting a lot of hype preseason.
Brianmoorman4jesus 3,103
I almost made this thread last night. I say start him and give him 15-20 touches against NE.
