  1. Where are all the clowns that said Davis isn’t good?
  2. What’s the likely prognosis for Davis? He doesn’t seem fully healthy, and I wonder if he will sit as long as a month. I’d rather have him 100% for the playoffs than playing at 60% all season.
  3. I took the Jags in my survivor pool. Didn’t want to waste the Broncos or Ravens
  4. Gabe Davis went for $24-$27 in all three of my leagues ($200 budget). Looks like he’s going to be worth $40.
  5. How much does age affect a punter? If QBs can play into their mid-40s while still having to take hits and occasionally scramble, surely a punter can play to at least Brady’s age.
  6. Since GB has to trade him, I think it’s likely that he ends up in the AFC (Denver or Tennessee).
  7. I felt much worse when we couldn’t move the ball for most of the game. This loss hurts, no question. But, my God, do we have a quarterback. Allen was breathtaking. We will be back.
  8. Really missed Tre tonight. Our slot guys are too slow to cover electric players like Hill.
  9. Culley did an outstanding job getting what looked like a 1 win Texans team to 4 wins. The team was competitive in some losses, too. He, Flores, and Zimmer should have been retained.
  10. I’m assuming we bring back McKenzie, that neither Sanders nor Beasley are good enough to be the WR3, and that Davis takes the #2 role. If Hodgins (likely an outside guy) can’t step up, I imagine we can bring in a reasonably priced slot guy who wants to play for a winner like Keelan Cole (who could also be a return man). Allen Robinson could be intriguing on a one-year “prove it” deal with a contender.
  11. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. For some reason I assumed he was being interviewed by Ron Wolf (former Packers GM) and momentarily feared that a team was considering a Gruden-like HC trade for McDermott (with all of the poaching of our FO and coaching staff this off-season). Then I snapped back to reality (and put away the bourbon).
  12. I’m more concerned with how long he is holding the ball- and risking sacks, injury, or deflected passes- and his run out of bounds.
  13. On the bright side, the defense and run blocking look markedly better than the first quarter of the season. We’re only up one because Allen is making mental mistakes again. If he corrects them, there’s some room for optimism.
  14. It’s interesting how much more transparent soccer managers are in their commentary on their players/team and opponents to American sports coaches.
