Trump's Tulsa Rally: America Strikes Back

Recommended Posts

Yea I'm not opening that other thread all weekend.

It's been almost a month of hearing how awful the country is, how racist we are, and we've seen the complete devastation that public education and college has done over the last 10 years; we have surrendered and lost a chunk of Seattle to terrorists; and still, a pandemic that the media continues to paralyze too many of us with fear and horror.

Saturday night, the counter attack begins.  All hands on deck.  In 2016 it was us against the world.

Today, there is no doubt it's good vs evil.  Trump is not perfect.  He is not eloquent.  Suburban women don't like him.  He tweets.  Sometimes too much.  But he's American.  He loves this country and has done all he can to fight the forces he believes are fighting against you, America.  He doesn't play nice.  Bush and Romney did that.  Those days are over.  The enemy is not nice.  They are mean, bitter, awful, hate filled people that do not think the country is a force of good in the world.  In 2008 they ran on "change."  How'd that work out?  Today they are running on "Orange Man Bad."  That is not a plan.  They don't really like to tell you their plans anymore.  They need to keep that quiet.  Let me remind you of what the ends to those plans look like....

The Democrats have just given you a free trial in socialism.  The Democrats have shown you what they will do with power.  They cannot be allowed anywhere near it.

really is a win win here for the country no?

I mean i love the scientific experiment that will be this rally. What a great way to see if indoor events are safe. And 18K people have willingly signed up for it!

If no one gets sick...we can open up even more and most likely be at Bills games in September.

People get sick, Trump looks like even more of an idiot, and loses steam in the election.

Wion Win!

I'd say that experiment's already happened, chum, over the past couple weeks.

not 18K people at an event..and I may add 18K following the example of their idol and not wearing masks.

Let the experiment begin!

I was going to make this a poll question on the main board but with no comments allowed so that it didn't get dustbinned. After I made the topic it errored out so I gave up on it. I am curious how it would shake out though.

If the season started today and nothing stopped you from going (e.g. other commitments, finances), would you attend a 100% capacity Bills game if no masks were required?

Silly boy, you can't be infected by Covid-19 if you are protesting.

False. Protesting is bad, unless your protesting includes property destruction and theft. Only then are you immune to the Wuhan Flu.

The experiment already took place...(bear with it, it is FoxNews...).

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/protesters-aim-to-bring-one-million-to-march-on-washington-in-largest-blm-demonstration-yet

"A law enforcement source told Fox News that an estimated 200,000 people came to protest in D.C. throughout the course of the day."

Unless you’re peacefully protesting your governor in Michigan. Now if those Americans had pulled down a statue or two or set a building on fire....THEN and ONLY THEN would they have developed herd immunity!

Same here. I assumed that would be your answer based on some of your posts on the main board. The panic porn is pretty nuts over there. ?

Yes, but a logical mind would assume that, say, 100k people outside should be roughly equivalent to 19k inside, no?

i honestly don't think so, two different environments, may have two different outcomes.

I am all for the rally for political reasons..protests okay (basically rallies for the left) Trump should be able to have his. Kicker for me is the scientific experiment that comes along as a bonus.

I think the bolded is the most important part. Of course cases will go up, but if rate stays the same and hospitalizations don't become an issue, it will be the biggest possible win for him.

Part of me thinks that's why so many are trying to prevent him from having it. It effectively ends Covid and makes a lot of elected officials look very bad for locking down their states for so long. It would destroy the media's panic push.

To clarify, I'm sure a good portion honestly think that it could be a health catastrophe, but I think a large number are afraid that it will be good for Trump.

The difference maker is AGE not LOCATION. This virus is not dangerous to younger people but is a significant concern for seniors. I’m hoping older folks would no better than to attend. But..I’m also really pleased that the rally is going ahead.  It will be the first experiment to hopefully open the door to upcoming sporting events and other large gatherings.

It will be an interesting case to investigate the differences in the viral propagation which relies on size, quantity and duration of the droplets around the body's entry points.   If the arena doesn't have a good ventilation system, it could be bad, buy so is clustering and shouting around many people outdoors.

We'll see

No wonder why Trump wants this rally so bad - its just been one bad week after another for the past 3.5 years.

And here's MORE:

Supreme Court rules against Trump administration attempt to end DACA, a win for undocumented immigrants brought to U.S. as children

So the SCOTUS just said that a new executive order cannot rescind a prior executive order?    And you're ok with that?

America strikes back?  I thought the 2nd civil war alarmists were being hyperbolic but I'm not so sure anymore.

You shouldn’t be. Folks in the South and rural communities are being pushed to the breaking point. Their towns’ sheriff is their neighbor and has discharged his weapon once in his career.

They turn on the news and feel like they don’t belong here anymore. Worse, they feel like where they used to belong has been taken from them.

They put the comma in the wrong place! Just like the census. The Trump administration can do it buuuuutttt... we do not like the way they went about it. That Trump team needs better writers.

(How the hell does "have DHS try again" make any sense? I mean I know it is because once something is in place, the SC is loathe to remove it, but shesh.)

Yup. Let's get these DACA recipients on a path to citizen. Trump can lead the way - as we all know (per @Buffalogal) that he is the ultimate uniter, right?

Then do the hard work through the proper legislative steps, if you're not too busy dancing at the graves.

If you believe DACA was proper through an EO, it should equally be proper to rescind through an EO.
