TheFunPolice
From today's press conference in Buffalo... Gov. encourages professional teams in NY to reopen and prepare to play games, but without fans. Considering the situation, this is good news I think! Obviously we would want everything normal, but games at least going on is a win. Edited May 18, 2020 by TheFunPolice 6

Seasons1992
I think the Pegula's should figure out a way for all fans to log into a Zoom meeting, and yell as we normally do on good and bad plays. Hell, my neighbors can already hear me through the walls........let's put it through the speakers and into Rich. TV-MA for sure! 1
TwistofFate
Ridiculous. Everything should reopen already, and games set for September on should not even be impacted. Woodstock happened in the middle of a pandemic. What happened? Nothing. 10 3 1

Kirby Jackson
This is about what I expected. Although it sucks to miss games I’ll just be happy that games exist.

MJS
That's good news. I think California is the big hurdle. They seem content to be shut down completely for the foreseeable future. It would be a lot to ask to have all of the California teams play their games out of state.

I know it's a joke, but Gov Murphy will probably just do whatever Cuomo does -- that's been his M.O. so far. (and i'm fine with it)

I just hope a bunch of asymptomatic players don’t test positive, throwing a wrench in the NFL season. It’s so hard to see anything being close to normal with the way the virus is being handled imo.
Justin C
So, Cuomo did say sports can open without fans RIGHT NOW Someone asked him a follow up question regarding football and sports etc. He basically still left the door open for fans. He said if sports can get by without revenue from attendance then they should. But if not it is something they will address. So the door was left open.

Apparently he's a Bills fan above the other NY teams, just like Mario was.

By September I think it will be a situation where at risk stay home, And attendance at sporting events is allowed but limited, ...however the days of quarantine-based closures and cancellations seem in the past. Churches open in 2 weeks, Kids start summer camp in 3 weeks, restaurants and bars already open for patio dining and completely re open on Thursday. Most colleges in Ohio including OU announced they will be on campus in fall. Ohio state announces mid-June, obviously its much bigger. RyanC883
may have fans at out of NY games. Will have to go to those if you want to see them live. Hopefully this improves to fans. But def a good sign.
