Barr's mad because any jackass can see the folly of widespread mail in voting beyond the limited use of absentee voting.  We've had nothing but voting creep over the past few decades with the expansion of early voting and the broadening of absentee rules and now vote by mail.  At the same time voter registration and the census has broadened to include non-citizens.  Add to this sloppy or non-existent maintenance of voter registration rosters and we have a growing opportunity for abuse and error.

There should be unanimous support to clean and tighten this up.  It's a no brainer.

Officials turn pizzerias into polling places as retirement homes, schools bow out

(CNN)The pandemic has created yet another hurdle for officials trying to plan November's election: Places that typically serve as reliable polling stations are now off the table because of Covid-19.

Facilities like senior centers, schools or even private businesses are no longer options over fears that welcoming voters will increase infection risk for others.

Millions of Americans will vote by mail this year, in part to avoid going to in-person voting locations, but that isn't helping city and county clerks who are facing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance to maintain or even increase the number of polling places they staff on Election Day to maintain social distancing. The guidance explicitly states: "Unless there is no other option, do not increase the number of potential registered voters assigned to each polling place."

If you had read the last few posts in this thread you would not have to ask that question.

Poll shows widespread support for vote by mail despite Trump's attacks

Almost three quarters of Americans (73%) supported allowing any eligible citizen to vote by mail this fall despite months of President

Donald Trump's attacks on universal mail-in voting, according to a poll from the Washington Post and University of Maryland.

The poll showed three quarters of respondents said fear of coronavirus infection should qualify as a reason to vote by mail, and 25% say it shouldn't.

The problem in NYS was delay in counting mail in ballots

I'll never understand how thinking people see polls as something other than a process by which to create a headline to suit someone's narrative.

And I say that about the right and the left.

I can get 73% of 2000 'random' people to agree that Nancy Pelosi is a millennial, and not even break a sweat in the process.

Remember when you celebrated this a year or so ago ?

Harris was rightly punished for abusing mail-in ballots,

Now, you act like it can't be done.

Some consistency on the Left would be nice.......................................................I know, I know. ?

.

You sir are a lunatic. I say that because to demand consistency by the left this late in the game is the ultimate cry of insanity.

Democrat Tulsi Gabbard says voter fraud 'serious threat,' seeks to outlaw ballot harvesting

Former presidential candidate's voter fraud message conflicts with much of Democratic Party, which has downplayed concerns.

</snip>

Gabbard is sponsoring a new House bill called the Election Fraud Prevention Act that seeks to outlaw the practice of ballot harvesting, a growing practices especially among Democrats in which third parties distribute and collect ballots in an effort to grow the vote.

"Banning ballot harvesting is not a partisan issue. It's been used & abused in states like North Carolina and California & is ripe for fraud," Gabbard tweeted Friday in announcing her new bipartisan legislation, which is being co-sponsored by Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill.

Here in California we have all these propositions on the ballot every year.  We always get a booklet defining them with the pros and cons.  I don’t know exactly when those come out but I think it’s usually by now.

Damn you Gavin Newsom.  Where’s my mail?!?!

You assume that every member of the PWU supports Biden.  Hoax.

Do you check your DNC sent emails hourly or by the half hour?  Could you let them know that the word hoax is over used and misused.  A hoax relates to an event that supposedly already happened.  Better to say "planning to pull off a hoax" if you have to use the word hoax.  Does the word hoax elicit favorable feedback from those people on the fringe who are concerned with UFO's, bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, etc..

Tell your dear leader to stop spouting off about hoaxes.  If he does that, then maybe I’ll stop using it to characterize Trumpian tropes and lies.  Until then, the PWU complaint is a hoax.

Carry on.

Absolutely that should be investigated & if they find out who did it, charges should be pressed.

But wouldn't surprise me if this was a set up from the other side.  It's only 9 ballots total & would expect people crooked enough to tamper w/ the election to burn ballots for the opposing candidate rather than simply "discard" them.
