I think that could be a productive discussion, and hopefully it could catch some attention. Long-term, obviously it would be great to build a stadium that amplifies the Bills Mafia noise. It should also have a retractable roof, as the weather provides an advantage over few opponents. The Terrible Towels and those classic songs are a big deal in terms of intimidation. The 12th Man ceremony in Seattle is big. The tomahawk chop and chant in Kansas City is big. The "J-E-T-S" chant is actually extremely loud and intimidating. The Bills don't have anything quite like these -- the Shout song doesn't scare people. Coaching-wise, something also needs to be done to prepare the players for playing at home. They need to come with that same intensity they show on the road; in fact, more so. I'm thinking the train horn also needs to go and needs to be replaced with something more intense. Bills brass should look at any and all ideas to tweak and improve the game-day atmosphere to maximize our home-field advantage. Beane and McDermott could make a real long-term impact for years to come even after they're gone if they are able to implement new home-field traditions. Whats the audio equivalent of a sucker punch or yard assault? Probably one of those things that emits high frequency noise to the point of pain to deter Somali Pirates. Yes, a Long Range Acoustic Device aimed straight at the enemy huddle while the PA blasts a mixtape of WWI artillery barrage and hardcore porn sounds. But i have walked from my car to the arena in the middle of december and there is a brutal, bone-chilling wind down there. I cant imagine sitting out in that for 3-4 hours. You're right - there were some moments throughout the Bills/Steelers game where intimidation came into play... we need a good combination of intimidation and fun to accompany the game. Won't lie - I left envious of their stadium (and its not even that new) - their passionate fan base (we are passionate, too... but a bit nuts).... and their city. Another team/city that weaves their NFL colors (purple) and crest is Baltimore - they've done a great job with lighting up their buildings in purple coupled, raven/baltimore crests everywhere. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A lot of teams claim to have the best fans, the toughest place to play, etc. but I would but Bills fans up against any of them especially long term.
