I wonder where the pats rank. Defensively it has to be first or second in most of those categories

against teams more inept than what Buffalo has faced.

Home against the Steelers who were questionable even with a healthy Big Ben

@ Miami  a grand total of 16 points in 3 games

Home against the JETS running the Mono gambit with their starting QB.

lets not pretend who we've faced and under what circumstances

In the Super Bowl?

Yeah, they often look past teams. Lost so many games over the years doing that.?

Not overlook, but I think they are going to be surprised that this year’s edition of the bills isn’t the doormat they’ve walked over for years. They may actually need to try.

They lost to the phish and and lions last year. Those were not good teams

i don't think they'll be surprised about anything. They'll know we are 3-0, they'll have watched films.... if we win, we have to beat them, not expect the Patriots to underachieve.

What, the Rams missing their most important wideout and Gurley in one leg?

so you're sticking with the Patriots being overrated take?

8 – The number of consecutive games in which Josh Allen has thrown for 200 yards or more.

8 – Number of 70-plus yard touchdown drives to open the season. It’s the first time in team history that has happened. The longest team streak of 70-plus yard touchdown drives is 12 (2016-17).

125 – Josh Allen’s fourth quarter passer rating this season, good for third-best in the league for QBs with at least 10 pass attempts.

73.8% - The odds for a team starting the season 3-0 to reach the playoffs since 1990 (104 of 141).

36% - The three-and-out percentage of opposing offenses against Buffalo’s defense. The Bills lead the league in this category.

78.3% - John Brown’s catch percentage, which ranks 10th in the NFL among receivers with at least 15 targets.

400 -

After holding the Bengals to 306 total net yards this past Sunday, Buffalo extended their streak of holding their opponents under 400 yards to 15 games. That’s the second-longest active streak in the league with only the L.A. Chargers ahead of them at 16 games.

That span goes back to Week 5 of the 2018 season and over that stretch Buffalo does lead the league in yards per pass attempt allowed at an anemic 5.83 yards per attempt. Chicago is second at 5.94.

The Bills defense also has the second-most interceptions over that length of time with 18 after Tre’Davious White added two more to their total Sunday.

Only Chicago and New England have more INTs since Week 5 of last season with 20 each

I expect the Bills defense to do a pretty solid ( if maybe unspectacular) job. The crowd will be into it for sure, at least at the outset. The deciding factor will likely be Josh Allen and the Bills offense as a whole. If the Bills manage to win this game, it will probably due to efficient and largely error free offense that controls the clock with Allen hitting on some big plays.

Ya,

The LA Rams in the Superbowl.... pretty good offensive team last time i looked.

Yippee the Rams without their most important wideout and an injured Todd Gurley, what an accomplishment

Everyone who’s played the Dolphins thus far is going to have unrealistic stats.

The Pats*** have an excellent defense and one of the best defensive coaches in history.  That said, their statistics so far this season are not sustainable.  That's not an opinion, it's fact.  The '85 Bears defense didn't have this type of performance over the course of an entire season.  Same for the 2000 Ravens.  The Pats*** are due for a dropoff and I think the Bills are the perfect team to bring them back to reality.

That defensive YPA passing stat is impressive considering we don’t get the number of sacks that the Bears do and thus don’t have the benefit of as much yardage subtracted from opposing teams’ gross passing totals over that time span.

I read that and got  this in my head I started seeing math definitions

Sum of the Roots, r1 + r2: Product of the Roots, r. r2: The sum of the roots of a quadratic equation is equal to the negation of the coefficient of the second term, divided by the leading coefficient

Lol you can try to discredit the patriots defense all you want.  The 8 of 52 on 3rd down attempts over the last 4 including one of the best offenses in the nfl is pretty telling. The trend will continie this week against buffalo. I know bills fans are hyping this game up. But its gonna be a long day for you. And teams havent been generally getting off to a fast start. Since the pittsburgh loss the patriots have allowed a total of 10 first half points. Thats 8 games

Good grief, they had the "greatest of runs" and you want to give them 15 years more because of what fans say?

The AFCE has been locked for almost 2 decades................it's about time for it to resemble any other division in the league.

Someone on a Pats board probably knows

Pats D is #1 across the board. Yards, passing, rushing and point allowed. But keep in mind they played the #32, #31 and #30 offenses.

Bills D is #5 in yards per game, #9 in passing yards allowed, #8 in rushing yards allowed and #5 in points allowed. And we played better 0-3 teams.

These will be the toughest defenses either team seen so far.
