They structured his contract correctly. I am sure the news of this latest lawsuit constitutes "taking action that materially undermines the public's respect for the club."

Hell, signing him in the first place undermined the public's respect for the club.

Glad some type of justice was served, but the Pats game in OP would have been quite interesting. I was looking forward to hearing the Bills fans reception of Brown.

No way Kraft writes him a check for $5m.  The two sides will quietly agree on a compromise $ figure to avoid going to court.

He is going to realize this maneuvering came to naught and has thrown away millions.

Doubt it.  He’s gonna need every penny.

I come back to the Ryan Leaf comment that Antonio Brown doesn't want to play football anymore.

Only way to explain his actions.

NE obviously made a cost/benefit analysis and decided to release him.

Post-Burfict CTE.

Meaning what?  You think Brown is going to pursue a trial to force Kraft to pay him?

Good luck with that AB!

It seems like the Pats owner and AB are kind of wired the same way. Maybe that is one reason why the Pats don't seem to have a big issue with low morality guys. Some folks have a different kind of value set. Perhaps the public pressure on the AB was too much to make the relationship work, unlike some other hirings where the Pats withstood the heat.

No, but  he will need to pay his lawyers for the pending law suits from the women he (allegedly) abused.

He is owed the guaranteed money. That’s why it is called guaranteed money. If they want to challenge that, they can but it will be up to a neutral arbitrator to decide. This has been stated over and over on NFLN.

Meaning everybody going after Brown is gonna go after anybody who owes him money as well.

AB is done in the NFL.  No one wants to deal with all his baggage, as talented as AB is.

True.  So here comes a collusion case?

same deal as his Oakland contract. These clauses are likely standard across the league.

Is there a bigger opportunist than Drew Rosenhaus?

Maybe he can convince AB that Buffalo has a great QB and is on the rise.  LOL.

Man did we dodge a bullet.
