23 Short Years Ago: E. Jean Carroll Raped by Donald Trump

Recommended Posts

The cover story New York published today details an encounter the writer E. Jean Carroll had over two decades ago with Donald J. Trump, in which the then–real-estate mogul allegedly assaulted her in a dressing room of the Bergdorf Goodman department store in midtown Manhattan.

The episode is one of six incidents Carroll details in the article of attacks on her by men over the course of her life. Another episode involves the disgraced former CEO of CBS, Les Moonves. The cover story is an excerpt from her newest book, What Do We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal, which will be published on July 2 by St. Martin’s Press.

When Carroll meets Donald Trump in Bergdorf Goodman, the encounter starts as a friendly one. Trump recognizes her as “that advice lady”; Carroll recognizes him as “that real-estate tycoon.” Trump tells Carroll that he’s there to buy a gift for “a girl,” and though we don’t learn the identity of this mystery woman, Carroll places the ensuing incident in late 1995 or early 1996, during which time Trump was married to Marla Maples. When Trump asks Carroll to advise him on what to buy, she agrees, and the two eventually make their way to the lingerie section. Trump suggests a lace bodysuit and encourages Carroll to try it on; she, deflecting, jokingly suggests that he try it on instead. After they reach the dressing rooms, events turn violent. In Carroll’s account, Trump shoves her against a wall inside a dressing room, pulls down her tights, and, “forcing his fingers around my private area, thrusts his penis halfway — or completely, I’m not certain — inside me.”

Yet, when taken in conjunction with the access Hollywood video, it makes perfect sense that he actually did this. What a scum bag

I call BS on a claim from a 76 year old woman that Trump raped her when she was 53. He's never liked woman that old, even now.

People are onto this tactic.   Back to their Kavanaugh playbook. This is all they have.

She also says she was attacked by Les Moonves but said nothing during all the recent allegations against him

What an insult to women who have been raped

They've got him this time................?

Boy, politics is going to be one boring entity again when Trump is out of office.

Maybe it's time for me to be totally disinterested in politics like I was when Trump was a civilian.

One of my first lessons about politics is how out of hand this crap really is. Example is that all these rape allegations come out 6.000,000 years after the supposed event happened,

I can come up with a billion more example, but I don't wanna type forever.

I guess the biggest question should be going forward is that if you are a Republican why would you ever want to run for President knowing that you will get crucified day in and day out by a media that is in the Democrats pockets? And circa 2019, throw in social media and forget about it. Just not worth it. RR handled it. DT can handle it. The Bush's, not so much.

It's all a mess. It really is.

Also, saying this incident happened in late 95 or early 96 squashes this shyt right away.

You get raped by Donald Trump and you don't know the EXACT time. BOOLSHIT.

Trump better not nominate himself for the Supreme Court.  We can't have a Russian mole be president and Supreme Court justice, even though he would be great at it and everyone wants him to do it.

they have already decided.

they are giving him the 'Kavanaugh" treatment (or is that the Thomas treatment?) so it is all but decided. upon his discharge of the Presidency in 2025, he will automatically ascend to the speakership (Twitter be damned!) of the Supreme Court.

If she has credible evidence of rape (which is what she described - is it interesting to anyone else that they didn’t print rape on the front of the cover? Wouldn’t they want the most heinous and eye drawing word possible?)  then she should go to the authorities, not a magazine publisher. If the statute of limitations is up, why didn’t she go to them sooner? Why did she wait until now? Trump has been a popular public figure from the time of this incident to now. If she had evidence, why is she waiting till now?

If she has no corroborating evidence, then there is literally no reason to believe her. None. Zero.

Hilarious

You were attacked in a dressing room 23 years ago and your preferred way of talking about it is via a cover photo in a magazine whose tag line is about what you were WEARING?!  Yeah...right.

Reminds of the famous line from My Cousin Vinny where she tells Danny DeVito that the deer he was about go off and hunt wouldn’t give a f&@k about what he was wearing.

The real shame is that glory-seeking asswipes like this broad - and Dr. Ford - and Avenatti - detract from women who are actually victims.

These sick people make a mockery of a horrible thing that actually happens to others.

She claims she first met Trump in a department store 23 years ago when he raped her in the dressing room. She also posts a picture in her book of her and her husband and Trump and Ivana in 1987 in what could be anything from a simple introduction to meeting at a swingers party.
