BOLO for the guy who threw the Beer Can

Am I supposed to feel bad for a millionaire who started a fight and was taunting fans got hit with a beer can while wearing a helmet?

No, but it could have injured an innocent bystander - a non-millionaire without a helmet who didn't start a fight or taunt the fans.

Drunk people don't always have good aim.

Where did he get the can? Dont they pour them into the a plastic cup at the stadium?

I honestly dont remember if they do that, how sad lol

Nope as long as container can’t be sealed with a cap you can carry it. Plastic bottles, cans and cups obv.

Agree 100%. Could have really hurt someone badly.

Hurt badly? Really? While it wasn't a classy move at all, and I definitely have never considered involving myself in on-field happenings...

This kind of admonition feels a little too sanctimonious to me. The fan was wrong, but Fournette had left his bench to assault a Bills player, was presently trolling fans, and even his handlers were being a bit d@#chey while walking him toward the tunnel. A beer CAN thrown is no great sin.

What the hell does BOLO mean?

Be On the Look Out. It’s a cop acronym.

Anyway, I’m laughing at all the woosie responses, but I’m an old goat. Attending Bills games at the Rockpile, heaving beer cans at players was as common as cheering for a touchdown. Paul McQuire was appreciative of it as he had a cold one to drink while walking to the locker room.

Why do you think they prohibit it now?

I haven’t had time to read through all of the comments and replies so if this is redundant I apologize in advance!    But I am pretty sure that was a Jags fan that threw the can.   They were using it as a statement and tryout.   The statement was “a Lenny you just cost us the game as you are the only guy that can score today.”   And the tryout was to show that they are more accurate and have better timing than Bortles.   Luckily you got it on tape and they can now submit to St. Doug.

I say you come into our house and throw punches, you gotta make it through the tunnel at your own risk... piss on you, and knowing our fans he's lucky that's not what happened...

Please tell me you don't have children.

A bad joke that was a little over the top... I wouldn't condone the pissing, just saying he's lucky that beer can wasn't full of some piss. Not something you could expect from me, nor would I condone the act.

However, if it were to happen I wouldn't push for punishment towards said Bills fan?

Well...at least you don’t condone the pissing...

Where's the rebel in some of us???

In a way... This makes me feel proud to be a Bills fans...I know, I know... Don't get the panties in a wad. This is what America was built on, right?

Angry mobs fighting tyranny? Pushing back the trouble makers. At least this unruliness is still NOT weeded out of BFLo fans with them being turned into pussified drones.

I mean, come on... Would we even be Americans or still be stinking British Subjects if we didn't have angry patriots (I that word is bittersweet for me, but I didn't use **) throwing snowballs, shouting out rude names @ British soldiers in Boston?  Yeah, that was the cause of the Boston Massacre and the British soldiers were eventually aquitted... But man this does a red-blooded American good to not see we have become a pacified bunch!

I mean really... Yeah classless, but it's our birthright to fight injustice and tyranny.

I don't know how y'all been raised, but Fournette started the whole thing and the guy with the beer can let his feeling known.  "Oh My God he threw a beer can, somebody could have been killed!" ...Is that what we have become?

Get Orwellian cameras on the guy in the blue hoodie, find him and ban him from the stadium for life... Is that what we want?

I like peace and civilized behavior as much as the next guy... As long as things don't turn deadly, it does me good to see us going old-school unruly from time to time.  Be thankful we aren't at the time where a massacre could be precipitated.

Let's all cry a beer can was flung at a guy wearing a helmet.  It ain't like dropping a beer bottle off the upper deck and killing a guy.

Glad to see we aren't going soft like the rest of the League.  I don't condone what the fan did, but it was a harmless, yes classless act of passion at an agressor that started the whole affair.

? I said my peace.  Too many cameras watching every little thing.

What if it hit your wife/girlfriend or child in the face?  Still harmless?

This is a red herring. Orwellian scare tactic.

Yes. Dumbasses better learn to get out of the way.  I hope I've instilled that much sense in my children.  It's a valuable lesson in perseverance.  And surely if they haven't learned it yet, best to be broken in softly with a harmless, empty, piece of trash.

Really... Is this what we've become? Melodramatic. Worrisome.

Why would your significant other be in the tunnel, why would your child be down there? It's a restricted area.

Anyway, anybody bringing a child into that environment (endzone tunnel seats) is most likely probably unfit as a parent/guardian to begin with.

Now older persons... I will just quote Rufus Hannassey (Burl Ives, The Big Country, 1958):

"...Maybe they had it comin'. Anyways, they're full growed and can take their lickin's."
