GunnerBill
Some of us did say this was a risk with Allen when the injury happened.

He would NOT look like this with our players..... That's not even the discussion we're having here. No doubt any rookie QB playing under a prehistoric defensive-minded coach would look better playing under Reid. The argument is that young QBs learn best playing, not sitting and watching. Augie
I hope he gets a few more games of live experience later in the year, but health comes first. Playing with a better supporting cast sure would help, though.... As for the statement, sure, never rule anything out and say as little as possible. They are only ever there if there is already an entrenched starter on the roster. Who says they dont learn from the sidelines? It's just as likely they dont learn by being thrown to the wolves with no talent to help them.
peterpan
What was his injury exactly? If he stretched a ligament then it's just a waiting game for the pain to go away. Ligaments don't tighten back up without surgury

I have said for a while now that his injury is quite possibly worse than many believe, especially given his reliance on velocity. 21 minutes ago, ScottLaw said: UCL Sprain. Nothing specified on the grade. IIRC, Andrews said it was a partial tear. It is a serious injury. also, fans need to understand that agents have a large voice in these situations.

He is head and shoulders better then the ones currently on this roster. Dump Benjamin and get Pryor and another competent WR and maybe the offence can get back to scoring almost 20 points a game? Oh wait, they cant do that, it would hurt their chances at 1st overall which will help this team much more then getting a winning attitude and keeping the defensive players happy that the teamnisnt throwing away another season..... Let him learn from the sidelines which was the original plan. Go 3-13 and get him better weapons next year. Upgrade the oline in FA. If he doesn't improve we'll know a lot more next year. He might be better of learning by watching other NFL teams, there is nothing to learn from this offense
ShakAttack
Just hoping if he misses the rest of the season it’s because the bills are letting him sit back and take notes rather than he is missing the season because we have no choice and this injury is worse than originally thought... After all, the “gamble” on Allen is entirely based on his arm strength, so I really hope that arm is gonna make a full recovery and nothing less

Tell that to Carson Palmer... Josh Allen was a known project QB who NEEDED to sit for a season. You don't start a rookie QB with this crapfest of a supporting cast around him. This is good news if they will let him sit and learn by watching Anderson. Hopefully he gets a new offensive coaching staff, new line, new WRs.
