A FIRST-PASS ANSWER IS “NEVER.”

“When Will They Admit They’re Wrong?”

Plus: “It’s a bitter pill but here’s the truth, the real deal: it’s about emotion. It’s about rationalization, and wow, are humans talented at rationalizing whatever we have chosen to commit to.

Once we have, it seems perfectly sensible to us and divergent views look wrong. There may, in fact, be a clear right and wrong side to a political issue, one that would be obvious to a disinterested observer; but you and I are not disinterested observers. We’re inside the social machinery and it’s well-nigh impossible to take a colorful pill and step out.”

This is why, in my opinion, the realm of politics should be kept as small as possible. And I’m not wrong.

And for my last post, you're all ***** idiots.

I don't like the sanctimonious exit diatribes either, but you can't go out like that after all these years. Plus, we need you here.

An ancient philosopher & historian, I think it was Thucydides, once said "with great power comes great responsibility." You have a responsibility to bring self-awareness to those poor lost souls who stumble into these realms completely oblivious to the fact that they're idiots.

No one else here has the power to disabuse them of their delusion as effectively and concisely as you.

And I think I speak for everyone when I say, even though you're an insufferable, curmudgeonly bastard, you're a very intelligent and erudite poster, and we've all been very lucky to have you here.

Yeah, no, regarding Tom you don't speak for me.  I surely don't need him here nor have I ever felt lucky to interact with him.  Folks that appreciated Tom have had significantly different experiences with him apparently.  The guy was a consistent prick to me at every opportunity - uncannily consistent.  I hope he decides to take years away from here.  I believe however he will return soon because as I said, he is a prick and seems to need to insult others.

For now I will hum that munchkin tune.......DingDong the prick is gone.  The prick is gone.  The prick is gone.  DingDong, the pompous prick is gone.

It's the secret of all secrets inside government/the MiC.

And it would expose a lot of evil ***** that has been done to keep it quiet over the past 70+ years.

Most of the UFO sightings are   top secret planes.  Ever see a  stealth bomber head on? looks just like a  UFO. They were fling them around area 51 for years before announcing them.  When they announced them, they already had the next generation ready for testing.

Undoubtedly some of the sightings over the years have been misidentified as "alien" when they're our own tech, some more secret than others. No question about that.

But we also now live in a world where the US Government and USN have admitted (for the first time) that there are real UFOs and USOs operating in our atmosphere which Navy jets have caught on film. Those might end up being our own tech too -- but it seems unlikely based on their abilities.

The question that leads me to though is does anyone believe that the "tic-tack" UFOs (which were captured on video in 2014 and 2009 I think) are the only UFOs that have ever been studied by our own government and others? And if it's not, which I think is likely, then why did this one get disclosed/revealed while the others have been hidden behind red tape and bureaucracy for decades?

I don't think this is what he intended to have happen. Over $10k raised for her in 6 hours. Good for her (and Carpem and the donors).

Good for you....several years ago you were the detached grump....then you turned into just another dupe angry with himself and his lot in life....whose gauge of progress is not necessarily quantifiably measured or proven...but more importantly measured by the rage it produces.....just like the other 5th Avenue pu ds  here...
