If Shady is Out, is it a Good Thing?

Losing Shady is not good in any way.

If he plays he won´t be 100% so we might see a different game plan, one with Shady as decoy I think while also throwing to him here and there. Murphy will carry the load or it will be divided in 3 ways with Murphy, Tolbert and Shady.

I agree that if Shady does in fact play, (which personally I highly doubt) he won't be close to 100%.  I think Murphy has a big game. If they split carries equally between Murphy and Tolbert I will projectile vomit onto my tv screen.  I am bewildered by the coaching staff's insistence on making Tolbert a close to every down back!!

You know how much stress is put on ankles when cutting rug?

Sounds like he’s ready. Cakewalk.

he could dance through cake without even taping those ankles up.

is it weird that we're talking about ankles, and your wife's ankles have spent a good amount of time behind my head?

It'd be better than Shady playing hurt, IMO.

Would you rather an 80% Shady for whole playoff period, or 0% against the Jags and 100% against the Pats/Steelers/whoever?

Personally, I think we him, even at 80%, to get to this stage.

Oh sure, losing who is, by far, your best offensive player is always a good thing...

The Steelers beat the Browns with back-ups - it has a history of success.  Thus Hyde and Poyer should be benched also - make the defense better.

I honestly think we have a shot with or without.  They are not as good as the stats indicate IMO.

Colts twice with no QB, Texans twice without watson starting either, cleveland, and cincy.  They held all those teams under 300 yards, recorded 12 takeaways, and 35 of their 55 sacks in those 6 games.

This is where I'm at. Cup half full approach, but definitely worth considering. Numbers don't lie, but they don't always tell the full truth. Dareus hasn't been playing a ton of snaps for them either.

Missing McCoy would be a big blow, no matter how you spin it. Murphy is a more than capable back in our scheme (and I actually thought his running style was very similar to McCoy's on Sunday), but I don't think the game plan will change all too much, with or without Shady. It's likely going to be a low scoring, defensive struggle type game, which IMO favors Buffalo (as opposed to more of a shootout type game). We'll still lean heavily on the run to open things up in the passing game. IF Shady does not play, perhaps the Jags focus more on stopping the pass, and further open up the run. I don't remember the Bills running too many screens this year, and (more so) draws , but this would probably be a great game to implement them more. Some well timed designed runs by Taylor would be nice as well.

Well she is big into Greco Roman wrestling. You must have been this gimp she was practicing with the other day.

Was there need for the luchadore mask?

He is the bet player on the roster.  Not having him would be a big blow.  It seemed like he rolled is ankle.  Its not broke depends on the level of swelling and degree of sprain.  If he is anywhere above 75% he is playing and will perform ok.  The offense needs a special set of plays for when tolbert is in the game.  You cannot call the same plays you would with shady.   Give him a lead blocker and maybe go 2 TE  and run power runs.  Russel Wilson abused the the Jags defense, Tayor will need to have a big game.  He is capable of doing so and teams that we do not regularly face him have trouble containing him.  If the Jaguars run heavily man coverage with their corners Taylor could have a big game on the ground and in the air.

I don´t mind feeding Tolbert, I just don´t want him getting him streach run plays or a 3rd and long situation with him on the field.

He ran ok up the middle against the Fish and we should stick to that plan.

Remember when the Jags were the worst run defense in the NFL the first half the year...then we gave them Dareus for a bag of rocks and suddenly we can't run on them lol.

We basically gave our opponent, in our 1st playoff game in 17 years,  and said "heres our best DLine player, we cant manage big personalities or his eating habbit so take em for a bag of footballs and make sure you use him against us in the WC with our ex coach that dumped us to coach your o line and became HC."

No, but I think I understand what you're saying. Dennison has not shown us much with his game planning other than a heavy dose of Shady. If he can't lean on him, then he may have to game plan outside his comfort zone and hopefully come up with something unusual that will help us beat the jags. I think that is too much faith in Dennison though.

Did you miss the TD pass to I think IT was O'Leary on Sunday?  The play totally faked out the Fish so that O'Leary was standing by himself in the EZ. Excellent play design and call. Flawless execution by the O.  Plus Hotrod can  throw the !ong ball.

I actually think since the slump Rico has been doing a decent job going 4-2 with only losses going to the Patsies**

He did run well the few times he was given the rock last Sunday, I can't argue with you there.  That one play where he absolutely demolished Timmons was a sportscenter top 10 play no doubt.  But I hate when the coaches get to thinking he's Marshall Faulk back there and start using him on toss sweeps, and plays he has no business running....

The Jags literally had the easiest schedule in the NFL. Their one big hallmark win was destroying the Steelers when Big Ben and then were in a funk. But still an impressive victory.

this game rest on the shoulders of the Bills D as I don't see the O scoring much at all unless the D provides some key turnovers and short fields.

McCoy be important but for the Bills to win it has come down to Bortles or Taylor winning it.  Both teams focus on taking away the run so it's up to the QBs to make plays. Who do you trust more to get the win?
