  1. 1. Pick your QB

You can absolutely not package any picks to move up unless you get Rosen. If by some miracle he falls, take Allen.

If not, draft defense with the first #1 and then Rudolph or walk away.

This once glamorous QB class is a little iffy now by me.

Funny how that works out.

As soon as the pressures on you see who crumbles.

I thought Ohio State would make him look like chopped liver.and they did.

Darnold should stay another year in college if all he was worried about was developing as a QB. Luckily for us and the Bills, he would be stupid to stay since his draft stock has no where to go but down, and he also risks injury.

In order to have any type of semi-realistic shot at Mayfield or Rudolph (or even Allen) we need Darnold to leave school. Whether he's ready or not.

Thanks ColoradoBills.  Forgot about Arizona.  I edited my post.  I also added this....

In my opinion, if the Bills number 1 goal is to get a top QB from this draft, then they are trading up.  If you want a QB, and don't pick in the top 10, you have to trade up.  You can't stand pat.  In previous drafts, how many QBs were taken in the first round by a team that did not trade up?

Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes, Wentz, Goff, Roethlisberger, .... I'm sure there are more.

I think they go all in to get their QB in the draft and use FA to fill Dline and Oline gaps.  Theyll hopefully still have aa 2nd for a LB.

Was Big Ben a trade up? I don't thinke he was. We tried to trade up ahead of the Steelers but failed and they stood pat and grabbed him I thought.

If McCarron wins his grievance and is a UFA, I am in favor of signing him AND drafting a qb.

My draft selection at this very early stage is Mayfield but this may change, and I wouldn't want to trade an excessive amount of picks to move up. Please, let's not give away the store ala Whaley!!!

You're right.  I was thinking about the Bills trying to trade up for him.

This article says it's a bad idea to trade up for a QB.

we need a veteran QB to start.  the rookie will be waiting in the wings and hopefully won't have to play at all in 2018.  because of that, you are obviously not trading away your entire draft to move up to get one of these guys.  we are not rebuilding and starting from scratch so that would be counter-productive.  3 QB's will be off the board before we even pick.  that brings us to the 2nd tier of QB's.  based on his size and success in college, Mason Rudolph in the 2nd round makes a lot of sense.  he will be the 4th or 5th QB off the board and i would take him over 2-3 of those guys anyhow.  he provides the best value and those other guys are going to be projects too so go for the guy with the size and maturity.

I think it could end up being Drew Locke with a veteran being signed earlier.  I put down Lamar Jackson.  I don't think Darnold or Rosen are practical at this point.  Mayfield's off field antics are too much of a red flag for me, and I have too many questions about Mason Rudolph.  I think Lamar Jackson to Desaun Watson is a better comparison than Lamar Jackson and Tyrod Taylor.

Haha!  Don't kid yourself.  Jackson is a 1-read and run QB.  Deshaun is a FAR superior passer.

Lamar is your typical super athletic QB who has relied on his natural abilities up until now.  It was just this season that he realized he needs to be able to read defenses, scan the field and go through his progressions to make it at the next level.

Supremely talented and a tremendous athlete, but Lamar Jackson is NOT an NFL QB.  Not even close.

You guys need to stop with this foolishness, he is most definitely an nfl qb.  He will go top 10 and some team will be very happy to have him.

Now as much as i have come around on Jackson this year. He is NOT a top 10 pick. More likely between 20-35

however he really should stay in school and hone his craft one more year and he will be a top 5 pick, but he wont
