transplantbillsfan
Most interceptions in a half since 1991. That was sickening. And shocking. I legitimately thought Peterman would come in and play well. Right now he looks like Jeff Tuel 2.0... worse actually. Too many posters here saying our passing game couldn't get any worse. Come eat some crow. At least he was awful enough that we can quickly go back to Taylor and try for a playoff run in our super weak conference Edited November 20, 2017 by transplantbillsfan 1
Jauronimo
I've been arguing this point for years to no avail. It can always get worse and usually, it does. 3 1

BillsFan130
TT is a QB who isn't going to win games by himself, but won't lose games by himself. In other words, a pretty average QB. Peterman gave them no chance with those turnovers. In saying that, the defence was awful once again and it wouldn't have mattered who started the game. Would have been closer if TT played but that's about it Edited November 20, 2017 by billsfan11

Pine Barrens Mafia
He was terrible, that much is indisputable. The problem is, the other guy sucks donkey balls in the OPPOSITE direction. Our choices today are : guy who won't take chances and a guy who hasn't seen a chance he wouldn't like to take. 1

Oh agreed 100 percent. That was my point all along about the team having major holes and not just the QB People can blame TT all they want and sometimes rightfully so. But this team has very little talent and it doesn't even matter if tom brady is quarterback for them now. OldTimer1960
I don't think anyone argued that it could not get worse than Taylor. That does not mean that Taylor is the answer. Taylor cannot carry an offense in any way. He can succeed at a mid-level, if surrounded by very good talent and supported by an exceptional defense - neither exist here today. apuszczalowski
The problem isn't the QB, it's the guy designing and calling the plays for the QB. Dennison’s system is a joke, receivers are a joke, line is a joke. It’s beem proven once and for all Tyrod is at least an average starting QB in this league because no backup QB puts up points in this offense. Receivers are open for great quarterbacks even when it looks like they aren't. Peterman was finding guys to throw to for the most part - he just was getting annihilated in the process. In fact, maybe today really did have a silver lining: I never saw Taylor as aggressive with downfield throws in limited time than today. Like he had nothing to lose. (Except for his fumble). Maybe we'll see more aggressiveness from him as a result of the benching.

No one is pretending he is flawless. He is a decent starting QB but he needs a system built around him just like any QB. Deshaun Watson and Carson Wentz wouldn’t succeed in each other’s offenses. Didn’t we just fire Rex Ryan for trying to force his system on a defensive roster that wasn’t built for that? Why are we excusing Dennison coming in and designing an offense that doesn’t fit Tyrod’s skill set?
