great trade beane. 3rd/7th for a player who played a game and 1/2 a quarter.

on another note, looking back it seemed when he went down it took all the air out of the team and they never recovered.

Yeah! Beane should have known Benjamin was gonna take a helmet to the knee! He's such an idiot!

KB was a relatively cheap-enough acquisition but the wrong player to help boost this offense.........they needed a deep threat.........if they'd come away with a Martavis Bryant instead he probably could have played versus the Jets and changed their entire gameplan against the Bills defensively.    They had no respect for the Bills WR and gave no help outside the hashes or deep at safety and that's how they "made Tyrod be a QB".

Right idea.......wrong player.

In essence they ended up trading Watkins for a late second round pick........gave away a mid third round pick for Benjamin and will probably have swapped out a years worth of offensive production for what amounts to acquiring a pick 20 draft slots higher than their original 3rd round pick and saving $4M more it would have cost them to franchise Watkins if necessary.    The Watkins trade has been a fail for the Bills.

So we would have been better off getting Bryant so that Tyrod doesn't throw to him much instead of Benjamin who Tyrod doesn't throw to much?

Got it.

We should have traded for Vance McDonald because all he does is throw to TEs.

Dimarco's drop/fumble pick6 ended that game....KB's injury just was the cherry on the cake...can this organization stop acquiring soft injury prone wr's?

I explained it pretty clearly.......they needed a deep threat to stretch the field vertically and get safeties back.

Benjamin ain't that guy.

Benjamin's game is running routes like the one he got hurt on.

If those Charger safeties weren't cheating up anticipating that the Bills were going to try to make hay in there Benjamin probably has some room to avoid that sudden and awkward contact.

Not having anyone that defenses fear will burn them deep has been a major burden.

Time to coax Anquan Boldin out of retirement lol

Another chance for Brandon Tate to possibly be the #2 WR again:lol:...............and prove that he's more than just a guy that would have been out of the NFL entirely this year if not for the Bills having virtually no depth.   How garbage must Reilly look on the PS to not get a promotion here?..........Tate is not an NFL WR he's a kick returner who's about outta' juice even there.

I don't disagree with the idea behind this. Bryant himself is a tough sell because of the suspension issues and the amount of pouting he has done this year, but I agree they are desperately missing that deep outside threat.

Yeah his character was an issue but the Bills were reportedly in on he and Pryor........before making a last minute call about Benjamim

But Pittsburgh was determined not to trade him when his market was low.

Compare the Bryant situation to Dareus.

Bryant has been suspended for a full season,  fought with management and even his QB and threw shade on a fellow teammate(Juju) on social media.........and the Steelers have GREAT depth at WR........but they wouldn't trade him when his market was probably a 6th round pick.

Dareus has had a lot of bothersome issues but not as damaging to the team as Bryant has had......... but was generally very popular with teammates and the Bills had NOTHING at DT and they traded him when his market was a 6th round pick.

If history is any indicator McD will end up having to acquire players he doesn't want/like to have any chance of success in Buffalo........everyone has a process until they get punched in the mouth.......so in retrospect dumping Dareus will probably end up looking like Donahoe cutting Ted Washington......turning the Bills run D from excellent to awful.......then having to pay super-turd Sam Adams to patch it up after two years of suck.
