  1. Thanks. I agree with the objection to the humor and I found c-troop's response to input to be pretty poor too. I wanted to object publicly but didn't want to feed the troll. The Moderators make TSW a great place to talk about our beloved Bills.
  2. By that you mean they are both borderline NFL talent now, right??
  3. Definitely like watching college highlight reels... One thing Duke will need to do: keep running. His QB in Edminton severely underthrew almost everything.
  4. Until that comeback in the fourth pre-season game, McCarron looked as lost against back-ups as Peterman has looked against starters. I know in theory it was foolish to trade McC, but his performance was really poor in the pre-season. I was shocked they got a pick for him. On the other hand, you can't wait to bring in the vet, once the trade was made.
  5. The difference in the salary cap is massive when comparing those two eras. When Rex came in, the Bills splurged in Free Agency, essentially forming a geriatric all-star team. When McDermott came in, they had to "pay off the credit cards" from the previous regime. If Rex had to purge cap instead of eating up the future, he'd have a different record.
  6. I've been able to watch stuff away from home on my spectrum account. You just can't watch local broadcasts away from home wifi. Are you in the Buffalo viewing area?
  7. Also be mindful of the device with which you are trying to watch. In the past, certain providers (Verizon) had a monopoly on how you could watch on your phone (not tablets, laptops, etc.)
  8. and the cherry on top: we got to listen to Dan Fouts.
  9. I think Benjamin will probably get an earful when they review the film of Peterman's two picks. I'm not defending Peterman, but I'm not so sure KB was working too hard for him either.
  10. I had to look up those stats to confirm!!! I could not believe that Fitz had that many yards/TDs. He really has proven himself to be a legit QB...Not elite by any stretch, but definitely legit.
  11. How can they be required to eat crow...I thought they all took a buy-out and left BN? ?
  12. This is a little different from the OP's intent...but it points to his longevity. I remember how he always took a long time to get up from the ground after a run. He'd fix his socks, adjust his pads, etc. I always thought it was a way to cover up injuries so that teams couldn't target the injuries he sustained. He took a beating from all those carries! Wait...you didn't know your sons birthday? LOL
  13. I'm pretty sure we would have won 9 out of 10...and that makes wide right even harder to digest.
  14. It's for real...Don't be joking about that man!
  15. It is fascinating to watch revisionist draft mockery get revised right before our eyes! Anything for a click. Besides, it's easy to take shots at the potential "Ryan Leaf." If he flops..."I told you first!" If he succeeds..."Aw shucks, but boy I'm happy for him!" It's a no-lose situation for sports writers.
  16. If Allen and Edmunds produce like Newton and Kuechly, we just won the draft!!! That's the type of draft that moves you to the front of the pack. Let's hope so!
  17. Unhealthy for one game, I'd take Gronk! He'd still play if the game was the SB and he was even 30% healthy. I can't stand him, but he's a pretty tough dude. OBJ, on the other hand...no confidence in his guts at all.
  18. How does that work? You concede the very concepts to which I point your attention, yet declare that I need a reading comprehension class? The point of my "Hardwood Classics" jab illustrates the point. The OP didn't need to declare the predominant racial makeup of the NBA nor does he need to explicitly remind us of the QB situation in the NFL. Those things are obvious to even the casual reader.
  19. You might want to stop watching Hardwood Classics on NBA TV and start watching some current games. I think the OP was referring to the predominant "ethnic" makeup of the NBA and the concurrent dearth of color at the QB position in the NFL.
  20. I think that the OP may be conflating ethnicity with "color." Color is only a few cells deep. Ethnicity is generally considered to be a multifaceted collection of traits, both material and immaterial. I believe ethnicity is a more popular term because "race" and "color" have become loaded words. Assuming the OP was "right" about 5 NFL QB's hiding in the NBA, he may be on to something. I think that's a HUGE if. This is the dilemma US Soccer, Hockey and Baseball have all faced on the international level for decades. The talent follows the money and for whatever reason, American money has supported the NFL and NBA more faithfully than the other larger sports. Regardless, I hope the OP's got thick skin, because I can see this conversation spiraling out of control in a hurry!
  21. But that's the product of an open forum. Follow the logic... Morons are posting stupid stuff at an incredible pace. So fast, that it is darn near impossible to find useful stuff to read in posts. Therefore, we should give the same morons freedom to create equally stupid threads on their own, because that will make it easier to find the good content. I don't think that's gonna get it done. You have to learn who is worth reading and who is just gonna waste your time. Be a discerning reader.
  22. That's why there are those convenient page links at the top and bottom of each thread page...so you can read the beginning and jump to the current discussion. It's like every message board. Although I do miss the shoutbox!
