The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

Obstructionist hacks? Have you bothered to follow politics at all before Trump became president? Both sides imo are deeply corrupt, completely owned, and hypocrites. Why do you think Bernie Sanders and Trump were drawing 20,000 plus crowds during the primaries? Where do you think drain the swamp comes from?

You criticize McCain, but he's the only one who was consistent when it came to healthcare. He criticized the purely partisan and rushed healthcare bill that was the ACA and refused to do the same when his party was in power with the numerous purely partisan rushed GOP healthcare proposals. He votes down the party line on almost everything else despite his "maverick" reputation.

That's why I said the Republicans are no angels.

Look at all the bad stuff that is happening NOW though. It is all being perpetrated by the left. And what CNN and MSNBC continue to do? Need I say more.

All the bad stuff? Can you be more specific? CNN and MSNBC have been neoliberal propagandist machines for some time now. Fox News has always been a neoconservative propagandist machine. Washington DC is broken as both sides are moving further to the extreme sides of the party and a new "center" party may have to be created. Here's a decent article explaining such a proposal. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2017/10/03/the_duopoly_is_broken_--_why_not_create_a_new_center__135157.html

How many times did McCain vote to repeal the ACA when he knew the repeal would be vetoed by Obama?

Not sure this is really the right place for this but I didn't know where else to put it. I tried to pick an article that wasnt just one sided (in either direction).

http://www.snopes.com/2017/10/03/united-nations-ban-death-penalty/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social

'U.S. Votes Against United Nations Ban on Death Penalty for Same-Sex Relations

The United States joined 12 other countries, including Saudi Arabia and China, in voting against a United Nations resolution condemning the use of the death penalty to punish blasphemy, adultery, and same-sex relations.

“The Question of the Death Penalty” passed by a healthy margin anyway, with 27 nations voting in favor and seven abstaining. The members voting against were Botswana, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, China, India, Iraq, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Should have abstained.

It's not up to the United Nations nor the United States to condemn or endorse the internal legal system of member countries

And when they find it it's not fake news?

Trump wants to control elections, now the media.

President Donald Trump urged Congress Thursday morning to launch an investigation of the news media, wondering online “why so much of our news is just made up.”

“Why Isn't the Senate Intel Committee looking into the Fake News Networks in OUR country to see why so much of our news is just made up-FAKE!” the president wrote on Twitter Thursday morning. He did not single out a specific story or media outlet that he believed to be guilty of inaccurate reporting.

Holy crap, you guys! Can you believe what Paul Ryan said today about Puerto Rico?

Ryan: Puerto Rico needs to "get back on its own two feet" http://hill.cm/eWFjym6

He’s a real coldhearted bastard, isn’t he? Typical Republican monster, right?

read actual story - exactly why nobody trusts the media

“Yes, we need to make sure that Puerto Rico can begin to stand on its own two feet,They’ve already had tough fiscal problems to begin with. … We’ve got to do more to help Puerto Rico rebuild its own economy so that it can be self-sufficient.”

But The Hill couldn’t’ve given Ryan some context in their tweet or anything like that. No, that would’ve been too honest.

What a pathetic excuse for journalism.

Not sure what happened to The Hill. They used to be right down the middle but over the past year or so, whoever is charge of their social media posting content is a complete uber left winger.

THEIR TEARS ARE LIKE FINE WINE:

‘New York Times’ Despairs of Iowa’s Turn to the Right.

“The explanation, according to the Times, is that Iowa simply isn’t retaining enough of its college graduates. The state’s industrial base has cratered, forcing the smart kids to seek their fortunes elsewhere, and leaving the dumb ones without degrees at home to vote Republican. No — seriously.”

Their egos are too fragile to withstand the self-examination necessary to arrive at the correct answer.

TLDR

Has anyone brought up Frumpy saying network licensing should be revoked for Fake News?

What would he do w/o Fox News?

Talk to us when he actively attempts to have CNN kicked out of the White House press pool, like Obama did with Fox.

It's an anti LGBTQ group. This is a statement from the article

“Family Research Council believes that homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large, and can never be affirmed. It is by definition unnatural, and as such is associated with negative physical and psychological health effects.”

I don't think it qualifies as a hate group, but I wouldn't attend it if I was president.

CNN political reporter Daniella Diaz sent a tweet on Monday pointing out that President Trump and Sen. Mitch McConnell locked hands while walking up stairs at the White House following their Rose Garden press conference. Diaz seemed to be mocking the Republican duo – but while followers quickly pointed out that the Kentucky senator is a polio survivor, the tweet remains on her feed nearly 24 hours later.

“McConnell is a polio survivor, a reason why stairs can be tricky at times,” CNN's Senior Congressional Correspondent Manu Raju wrote “McConnell often goes up a step at a time, sometimes needs railing for assistance. This time, used Trump for balance.”

Many users commented on Diaz’s tweet, saying it needs to be removed and criticizing the CNN reporter for the message. “You're making fun of the President of the United States helping a polio survivor that stumbled. Stay classy CNN, stay classy,” one user responded.

The two guys that are literally trying to take away health insurance for tens of millions deserve so much sympathy. Boo hoo hoo hoo.

Didn't the WH implement a "No Recording devices" action into place some time ago on some of the briefings?

CNN fabricates news and outrage as much as FAUX Fabricates news and outrage.

I watch News for the News and not their opinions.

The White House is out of excuses for off-camera briefings ...

White House Kicks Out CNN and NYT from Media Briefing, Allows Independent Media In

Just a few hours after Trump warned during his CPAC speech that “we’re gonna do something about the media”, he did just that after the White House barred a number of news outlets from covering Sean Spicer’s Q&A session on Friday afternoon.

From your article:

Several other major news organizations were also let in to cover the gaggle.

That group included ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Reuters and Bloomberg

He ran a different format where a limited number of reporters were allowed into the (so called) gaggle....................actually an appropriate name for a # of 'reporters'

Most of the mainstream media was in, CNN and NYT were kept out this time.

No other description for this than fascism .......lol

Many fine journalists have stated that there is no point to having a press briefing by the admin at this point, if a reporter doesn't have the entire story from other sources first, then they are not even trying to do their job.

Hard to argue its the media when so many Republicans are just as damning in their condemnation of those horrible person that occupies our highest office. Former President W Bush:

Our identity as a nation – unlike many other nations – is not determined by geography or ethnicity, by soil or blood. Being an American involves the embrace of high ideals and civic responsibility. We become the heirs of Thomas Jefferson by accepting the ideal of human dignity found in the Declaration of Independence. We become the heirs of James Madison by understanding the genius and values of the U.S. Constitution. We become the heirs of Martin Luther King, Jr., by recognizing one another not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

This means that people of every race, religion, and ethnicity can be fully and equally American. It means that bigotry or white supremacy in any form is blasphemy against the American creed.

You should post a link. If I remember correctly this statement was made while Obama was in office.

No. President Bush said that today.

Of Course he was referring to extremists on all sides throughout America, but the DNC marching orders insist that it was just about Trump.

(Have they never met President Bush, and do they know him at all ? )
