I am sure belichick is licking his chops, no matter which rookie starts. Gonna be a long season. It's amazing that you signed up for this board. I could find the answer. On the other bills message board there's a thread in which people are saying he did. I haven't seen a link or anything to confirm. My point was that, as good as he may prove to be eventually, EJ is a very green rookie who will be starting his first NFL game--not exactly a sure-fire win. Right - but the point is we want to get going and learning with him under center - not spin wheels watching QB's who aren't going to be the starter get reps. I know it's not certain, but I simply can't imagine a situation where Jeff Tuel is the only healthy QB on the roster. Even if EJ was ready to start week1, we still need a 3rd emergency QB. If Thad was released, it simply meant the coaching staff did not think highly of him.
