that’s probably similar to how the NFL replay guys do it. But we’ll never know what goes on behind the curtain there. Only so many ways you can dissect a play from the replay booth
I noticed yesterday the two broadcasts are different. FOX is playing it more professional...like a version of NFL/college broadcast with a few gimmicks mixed in.
The game produced by ABC/ESPN was way more gimmicky with the open mics and the sideline girl literally running on the field during live action to get audio.
The 5pm game today is on ESPN so we’ll see if they go a little overboard again compared to FOX
The season is so quick (championship April 26) I think by the time people get tired of it or injuries take their toll on some teams the season will end.so that’s good. Just continue to be really competitive and interesting for a couple months and the league should hang around.
keep an eye on injuries. The LA QBs got hurt and the 3rd guy was pretty bad. That will kill a team...poor or injured QBs. Then no one will want to watch that club.
I’ve seen more crunching helmet to helmet hits in two games today than you see on a normal NFL weekend. And no flags. Hey It’s not my body but they may want to clean that up a bit. These guys in 15-20 years will be paying a dear price.
Its also a severe punishment for the kicking team when the ball lands short of the 20 yd line. The whistle blows immediately and the Receiving team gets the ball on the opponent 45. We saw that today.
It isn’t but on NFL telecasts it’s still kinda hush hush. You never hear the Tv analyst gushing about how Seattle taking their FG off the board after roughing the kicker, cost fans the over and Seattle covering the spread
How bitter are the degenerates who bet the over, hit it, then Seattle takes the FG off the board and ultimately fumbles. Still time for more points though.
im entertained. the Defenders are my local team so I may take my kid down to a game in March. They’re playing in a soccer stadium and I’d much rather watch this than MLS soccer
i think the XFL will be considered a success if they get through the season and have a championship game. Seems like each team will have a core of good fans in their local areas
I like the kickoff thing. It will eliminate dumb Offside and blocks in the back too. It’s easy for the guys to stay still because they can all see when the opponent touches the ball.
