I think he’s fine. I hated early in the year when McD would pass on an easy FG and go for the 4th down only to be stuffed. It’s the NFL don’t take chances like that on your side of the field and don’t pass up easy points in early portions of games
I don’t buy that. McD, the coaching staff, The players, Beane, The Pegulas... they all wanted this game badly. They wanted nothing more than to start the changing of the guard.
As much as it pains me, I was impressed that NE controlled the trenches today for the most part. They don’t have the scary offense they used to have but their O and D linemen play strong.
the entire offense roster of skill players is a bit perplexing and lacking. It’s Allen, Dev, Brown... with some Beasley and Knox mixed in a bit. But then I look at NE and they don’t have much going on either . KC and Baltimore have so many skilled guys on O.
Gotta give him 3 full seasons before making absolute declarations. But I would like to see more designed short passes like the Pats do for Brady... and he should instinctively scramble more and slide. Too much backpedaling and throwing off his back foot. He needs to step up confidently and stop with the negative plays
agreed, when he scrambles it picks up the rest of his game. He’s going backwards in the pocket. He learned nothing from the prior New England game. Nothing
