  1. I liked seeing some quick, short high % passes called in the second half. Not everything has to be a 20 yard rope or a bomb. Brady and Rodgers for example make a living out of short throws mixed in to their games. Allen is starting to look like the best QB out of this draft, with the exception of Mayfield. But I don't know how much better or more accurate Mayfield will get going forward? He's good now. Will he get better? With Allen you feel like he will get much more comfortable and more accurate a season or two from now. Anyway, i was skeptical.. I didn't want to draft Josh Allen. So i give credit to Beane and his staff here for moving up to get themselves into position to draft him.
  2. I checked out a Fins message board late last night to see their take. Most were underwhelmed by their win and named the MVP's of the game as two ex-Dolphins.. Clay and Phillips. As for Josh Allen, two comments from their board posters stood out. Most really were impressed by Allen and underwhelmed by their team. - "Josh Allen looks really, really good. I think the Bills are set for years. Tom Brady won't do that against us next week that's for sure" - "On the evidence of the Jets/Bills games against us, the Jets picked the wrong guy.
  3. Two plays before the last throw to Clay, Allen got smacked in the head hard when he was taken down in the pocket. It was the second Dolphins player who hit him, and it was intentional. You could tell Allen was rocked as he was trying to shake it off and he looked at the ref like, C'mon man. That non-call play infuriated me more than any. Although he did get hit in the facemask earlier in the game by a fist/hand, another no-call. Not to mention he was dragged down at least once hard and hit his head on the ground, that's on him. Allen just takes too many head shots for my liking, even in preseason.
  4. From drive to drive, Allen is capable of being lousy to spectacular. at the end of games, this dude is making things happen. That’s great to see.
  5. One crazy thing about Allen is ya never know from play to play what he will bring. It could be horrendous or something spectacular.
  6. Yes that one infuriated me. He got clocked in the head by the second guy and it was not incidental
  7. Miami’s winning TD drive seemed like the yardage “earned” was 80% from penalties and then a miracle catch between 4 hands. This game was such an unfair outcome. Oh well, weren’t making the playoffs anyway
  8. I agree. Usually penalties even out but holy cow Josh got hammered in the head and roughed up a few times, no calls, definitely some DPI, no calls. Really bizarre day by the refs. They did not let anything slide against the Bills
  9. Every throw is a wobbler like my son throws. But he showed progress today which I really liked. Jeez many times does the guy get dragged down late? Or banged in the head and he doesn’t draw an unneccsary roughness? Jeez man, Allen can’t get a call in the pocket
  10. Don’t think so. But damn, Allen is taking abuse in the pocket. #50 shoulda been flagged for unnecessary roughness on the previous play
  11. They cut his holder, again. It’s not an easy transition for a kicker. Very mental
  12. Allen redeeming himself, but again, it’s all w his legs. Alligator arms Benjamin. What a wuss
  13. Blow one more great field position possession, I’ll be shouting for Matt Barkley
  14. Kyle Williams with the textbook technique on not driving Tanneyhill into the ground
  15. I was about to kill Allen but that was a good pass and a Zay drop. Way to go Zay
  16. Allen’s completion % already going downward. Cmon man.
  17. I think there is some truth to the lack of intensity on this club when they are up. They coulda poured 60+ on Delaware State and Rutgers and some others...but they respect the opponent I guess and bleed the clock and don’t run up points. I get it but maybe that mindset drifted in when UB was up 29-10 late in the third. That’s obviously not a large enough lead over a qaulity team to lay back, but that was their move most of the season. Alao, There were a few games this season when the opponent got big momentum, the Bulls were powerless to stop them. Happened again last night
  18. I didn’t really think Leipold coached conservative in the 2nd half. Fact is the Bulls rushing attack has been better than their passing. The Oline shoulda blown NIU back and taken control. But give NIU credit and they also got their stud DT back in the 2nd half. That was huge too. The Bulls did attempt some medium and long throws late and mostly came up empty. That was disappointing as was the D playing so soft in the secondary.
  19. He was a better QB right after his knee injury when he couldn’t run around. He just had to rely on being a pocket QB. Sometime around game 5-6 he started running again and he became really inaccurate but scored a few TDs by scrambling around. Not sure what it all means. He just needs to be better and is not NFL ready
  20. Well that sucked. Still a great season but no championship. Tyree just looked confused in the second half but AJ did have a chance at that deep one late. Just couldn’t reel it in. Surprised the D got lit up like that. Still a Bowl game as a reward so I’m gonna enjoy that. Hopefully they play loose and win it
  21. Damn, guess I need to remove him from my DraftKings lineup this Sunday. Strong move by KC.
  22. And so begins the downfall of Kareem Hunt. What a dumba$$. That's a bad bad look for Hunt, the KC Chiefs and the NFL. I think there will be serious consequences. Video is so much worse than reading about it, and that's bad enough. It's more of a Ray Rice comparison than say a Chad kelly deal..
  23. If KB hated the whole Carolina/Cam Newton experience I can't wait to hear what he really thinks of his Buffalo Bills tenure after he leaves. He's gonna burn the organization and the city down. But it was 99% his own doing and lack of anything resembling effort or caring....except for the Peterman part,... that clusterf#@k of an experiment was on McD and did the WR's no favors.
  24. Looking forward to watching Tyree sling it inside Ford Field. Should be fun. The defense he will be facing is solid.
  25. Frank is the best and I actually root for the Colts now in neutral games. McD broke the drought so I'm giving him a mulligan for 2018, seems like he has things back on track. Maybe it took cutting ties with Peterman to get the urgency ramped up.
