Some people just love to focus on penalties, etc,, Clearly this was a game that penalties didn't matter one bit. I didn't look at the box score but I'm guessing Ohio got nearly 700 yards of offense. Did the UB defense even cause one negative play for Ohio? it was incredible. That was such an a$$-kicking that it was like watching Alabama demolish Gardner-Webb or something. The shine is off the season for me. Really good teams don't get beaten down like that.

After last night I'm kinda' concerned that UB can even be competitive in a MAC Championship and a Bowl game? NIU is solid and whoever they play in a 3rd tier Bowl game will be pretty good. That loss was so lopsided I feel like UB was exposed and shown to be a bit of a fraud with their 9-1 record. We'll see. If they really are good the Bowling Green game shouldn't even be close. But let's remember, it's the MAC.. That Ohio team we saw last night barely beat Kent State 27-26. It was crazy to see how many UB defenders bounced off that guy. Either he was greased up with vaseline or he simply cannot be brought down on first contact. He should be playing for Army.

Tyree has regressed imo. He was getting hyped as maybe a future first round draft pick coming into this season. Midway through this season he was maybe a 2nd day pick. Now he looks like a day 3 pick at best. His accuracy has been terrible this season

The Bulls are actually trying. But they are being completely outclassed. Hey maybe this scares away the Leipold suitors, if he had any. He had to be a hot coaching name coming into this.
-
Embarrassing effort. We knew Ohio would be the more desperate team but jeez. Tyree is horribly inaccurate too. Maybe they just need to ground and pound, mix in some high % passes.

I told the board when they signed this dude that he sucked and was overrated. His Redskins teammates hated him. His stone hands and lack of effort on a couple plays vs. Chicago and NYJ was almost Kelvin Benjamin-like.

Sorry, not football: UB takes down #13 WV in BB, on the road
zow2 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in College Football
The UB story is great. Get ready, however, to strap in for some tough games. I think their opponents are going to really be pumped up to beat the #25 Bulls. Especially the local teams (Canisius & Bona). -
That would be cool for him, but I don't think he gets another opportunity. The 5-INT game against the Chargers and it never got much better. He would not be well received anywhere.

I don’t get it. What went wrong? wishing him the best

Speculation locally in Maryland is that the Terrapins football team will go hard after him to be their head coach in 2019. They'd like to start fresh this offseason and Harbaugh wouldn't even have to move. But that's assuming Harbaugh would even be interested in coaching at the college level. It is Big10 though, but MD is a little stepchild in that conference at the moment.

Ronald Darby Tore ACL. Done for the Season
zow2 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darby was rated in the Top-30 of cornerbacks this season and they play New Orleans next weekend. This is a brutal loss for the Eagles. -
The Saints did the same thing to Buffalo at home last season. They are a ridiculous offense, Brees is so good. But yeah the Bengals D has been a disappointment.

I posted this in another thread, probably should have posted it here. But yeah i pretty much agree, at least for the Jax game. Regarding Barkley, it's not being talked about how (i think) he purposely under-threw some deep balls. It gave the WR's a perfect chance to track the ball, stop, and outleap the defender. Brady does this alot and I hope Allen can learn something from that. I'd keep Barkley as the starter at least for the Jacksonville game. The last two home games were stinkers. Give the O a chance to keep it going. It's inevitable that Barkley will falter and have a bad game or half. At that point transition over to Josh Allen for the remainder of the season.

A Few Thoughts about the Jets Game, In no particular order

Can We Finally Give McBeane The Benefit of the Doubt?
zow2 replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll also give them credit for pulling Barkley off the scrap heap, getting the fast returner off the Denver practice squad and putting some younger guys back in. Now they need to deal with those Divas WRs. Kelvin and Pryor. Those guys can’t get their uniforms dirty. Embarrassing lack of effort -
Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
zow2 replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Barkley vs. Jags. If he does well again, stay with him. If/When he falters bring in Allen to finish out the season. -
Kelvin and Pryor can both be released on Monday. They are cut from the same cloth. Unless the ball is thrown perfectly into their hands or chest they make zero effort to go after it. Just embarrassing lack of effort

Matt Barkley Will Be the Bills' Starter vs. the NYJ
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Barkley is solid. He’s gonna take some chances but hit on a few too. And he has a nice touch. I like him. -
Matt Barkley Will Be the Bills' Starter vs. the NYJ
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman is still on the team only because he's healthy,,,, and knows the playbook (which allows the team the ability to open up the full playbook in practice and games). When Allen is up to speed and Barkley catches up I think Peterman is cut loose. DA in my opinion would be good to have around as a mentor but i can't see them rushing back on the field anytime soon. -
This isn't a new thing. Happened two years ago as well. I remember listing $5 tix for the Cleveland game and another late season game. Ended up donating them. So glad I did not renew my season tix after last year. Now i cherry picked just a couple early games and sat at the 40-yard line.

Who has the best stadium in the NFL?
zow2 replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since the retractable roof technology has been relatively perfected, I think the Bills should go that route. No need to build a permanent roof. I do believe a stadium in Buffalo should have no more than 60K seats. Keep it somewhat smaller and intimate inside. Can use a facility like that for years to come and be able to attract multiple year-round events. -
Jets 27 Bills 10

I knew at the time when we had the #1 rushing attack that we would really miss it someday. Like now. I was Lukewarm about Rex but it was mainly the D that disappointed. They scored plenty and controlled the ball. He had Anthony Lynn on staff, and some solid coaches.

I still think it's a pretty big game for a number of reasons. First off- ESPN2. It's national and a good showing is always great for recruiting. Also, players will want to showcase their talents for the next level on a national stage. With a win at Ohio, BG and in the MAC championship, that might position UB for a bigger Bowl game against a P-5 second tier team. Lose to Ohio and they will probably be slotted in for the Dollar General or Potato Bowl or whatever. Win and it takes the "anything can happen (lose)" possibility off the table vs. Bowling Green.
