Bills in White on White Throwbacks Again in Miami
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty easy decision I suppose. Stick with the combo that's winning. And the equipment staff won't have to peel the decals off and replace them back with the modern Logo decals. -
November 4th and still counting (WNY Win Streak)
zow2 replied to SoCal Deek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well if you want to count the Bulls, you do have to throw a Nov. 14th football Loss in there at Ohio. Quite honestly it was not a must-win for UB and it was for Ohio so that factored in. Still an impressive WNY streak by any measure though. Maybe the best ever. -
Isn’t Schmidt a sure handed holder for Haush too ? They must really hate the guys game, jeez.

Was Baker Mayfield a DOUCHE Yesterday?
zow2 replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol. i don't know man. I think Brady leads the league in the dad bod category and some man-boobage. -
These are some good times indeed. If only the Bills were in a better wild card position that would really make this an amazing Fall/winter sports run. UB Hoops has been good for a few years now. Mens and women's. It's unreal so see them ranked ahead of teams like Villanova, Wisconsin, Maryland, etc.. If they can get through the rest OOC schedule unscathed and pick off one or two of their tough opponents, they will be in a nice position for an at-large.

I am for a downtown stadium but can live with a full renovation of the current site. If they choose to renovate, I'd like to see them throw a retractable roof on the place. Make it a year round venue. Maybe since I'm getting older, i just don't love sitting out in 25 degrees and 30mph wind gusts anymore....or steady cold rain.

Was Baker Mayfield a DOUCHE Yesterday?
zow2 replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I vote for dooshy. I don't give a crap about Hue but for someone who has been in the league for basically 5 minutes i think Baker has to keep his attitude in check and not make public pronouncements about coaches, play calling and organizational stuff. Hue went in for the postgame hug, Mayfield blew him off, OK leave it at that. Don't make the snarky comments at the presser and continue it on social media. -
I was critical of Allen running too much prior to this game. But I thought he did great today. Some of the passes he threw were awesome (even the ones dropped and negated by penalty). That’s all I needed to see... that he can make some world class throws, and he can. As he develops more the running will slow down and the passing numbers will increase.

Allen was great today. Easily his best game. And he would’ve had 4-5 more completions and 75 more yards had those penalties not negated great completions. And Thompson didn’t secure a great pass downfield

1st half thread, Jags at Bills 1 pm on CBS

As long as Allen looks pretty good today it’s a win. The D getting shredded by the run is concerning tho. -
Thanksgiving GDT: Bears vs. Lions at 12:30 PM ET on CBS
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chase Daniel almost got his head taken off. These QBs are obviously going to slide feet first and the defenders are still just dying to hit them. When it comes to journeymen QBs, Matt Barkley looks better than Daniel. -

Yep. And he’s still just as thin as I remember. I was lucky enough to have sideline passes for warm ups one game. I remember thinking at the time, man that’s the skinniest DE ever. He looked like a tall WR. -
David Carr: Vikings Made a Mistake Paying Cousins $84M

Look how Cousins played vs. Buffalo and compare how Andrew Luck plays. One is a franchise QB one racks up decent numbers but is not -

Jalen Ramsey doubles down on Josh Allen “trash” comments
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jeez, this guy has set himself up to take the most crap from Bills fans while entering New Era and on the sidelines. Of course he gets a rusty Josh Allen coming off an injury and not even close to tapping in to what he will be someday. Just hoping Allen can make a few plays that are noteworthy and burn this clown. -
It was a fun game to watch. I'm not going to be negative about the lack of D. Just enjoy it. The defense on both teams actually made some big plays too. As much as teams might want to copy KC, LA and NO, it's not gonna happen. Even those teams get slowed down once in a while. The Chiefs at home don't seem to ring up those kinds of numbers. I think it's just one of those years where everything is going right offensively. What really impresses me about the Rams is their pace. They get up to the line quickly and are so organized in what they want to do. That's McVay. He's the man.

I always feel like with a high draft choice (QB) he gets two full seasons to prove it. So yes, if he does not pan out, the club loses for 2 years. I thought Trubisky sucked last year, but this year it's starting to click. he doesn't make the right decisions 100% of the time (none of them do), but he's pretty good and should only get better. It gets complicated if/when the backup comes in and makes the offense click better than the high draft pick. But usually that backup has a known ceiling, and it's not as high as the potential ceiling for the young guy.

Thoughts on not making Anthony Lynn our HC?
zow2 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked Lynn but i was more hoping we'd hire Frank Reich. At the time i recall Frank being interviewed. -
I do see the importance of starting Allen. Unfortunately there's no playoff chase so McD has real live games to evaluate Allen which is critical. HOWEVER, was it critical for Pat Mahomes to get a bunch of games last season? Sure doesn't look like it. On the flip side, McD is trying to win games, maintain team morale and put his club in the best position to get victories. What if the Bills are down to the Jags 13-3 at halftime this weekend and mainly because the QB is doing absolutely nothing (he's missing receivers high and low, running himself into sacks, etc..). The fans boo them off the field.. It's a tough call for the coach when you know a guy on the sidelines has more experience & confidence...and might be able to see things and move the club better. So yes, I'm ok with Allen starting...but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Bills announce late in the week that Josh is being rested one more week and that "he's real close, just not quite yet"..

Lol yeah. I Only grew up 5 mins from North campus, went there, had season tix in the worst of times and have followed the teams for 40+ years. But ok, not a real fan. say your peace.
