  1. At this point is Kiko even much different than Vontaze Burfict ? I mean c'mon, even when Kiko doesn't land a direct hit he seems to give that little extra side business that the fans rarely see.
  2. So will Eagles fans be donating in large sums to the “Khalil Mack foundation”or whatever cause?!? The Bears hooked the Eagles today. They played hard.
  3. Bill Cowher agrees. He said on the postgame show that McD is a very good coach and perfect for this city, as well as Allen.
  4. Funny, when Allen runs wild we hear that he runs too much...be a QB! When Lamar Jackson is running like a maniac the masses love it. He’s doing what he needs to do to move the chains and win games.
  5. People that are fine with the pick six for draft position are morons. You want to see our franchise QB throw some nice passes and win the damn game. That was awful. And when we had the momentum on O the coaches got super conservative This game is a repeat of the Jets game. Early momentum, get conservative, defense wilts, Haush goes short on an easy FG. There ya go.
  6. Phew. I’m thanking Saban for Bama taking the knee at the end. Safely covered OK +14 because of that. The crowd who bet the over must’ve been so angry.
  7. I have ND in a Bowl teaser and they can’t cover +19.5 points?!? Ugh. What an egg they are laying.
  8. So long KJ. We will definitely miss this you and this years offense. Anyone else leaving? The waterboy?
  9. I look forward to watching a new QB get developed at UB and it will be fun to watch Tyree at a P5 team like Auburn or wherever. Let's see what he can do. These programs dying to get him should be a bit cautious. He had some real talent around him at UB and could not raise em up, losing 3 of his last 4 games against better competition. Can't wait to watch that Iron Bowl... Tua vs. Tyree. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over the last 10 games of the season (8 MAC games, Army & Troy) Tyree Jackson completed 52.3% of his passes, threw 13 TDs 9 INTs, and threw for under 200 yards in 5 out of 10 games.
  10. My main issue with Allen as he learns the ropes is that he goes for the home run throw too often. Just make the easy pass when it's there, move the chains. You see it every week with Luck, Brees, Rodgers, etc.. they take what's there...not always forcing a low% downfield throw.
  11. Well, if true that's just a dumb take by daddy-O. As the season went on the Bulls O-line and running game were the best units on the field, not the QB. The coaches allowed Jackson to continue throwing with leads and all it did was lead to quick 3-and-outs with poor throws and decision making (INT's, fumbles). The D crumbled late season as well. Not sure why the DB's were so badly exposed. Anyway that same coach holding his kid back is also the reason the Bulls have been rebuilt into one of the better MAC programs. Credit to Leipold because this team would be bottom of the MAC without his leadership and staff. He's also the same coach who recruited two awesome freshman RB's and more athletic players across the board.
  12. Whose to say some transfer QB or graduate transfer won’t be enticed by UB if Tyree leaves? i think the QB position would be wide open and no one knows how Leipold thinks. Guys who have hung around P5 programs and barely played now have options. It’s unlikely but Ya just never know what will happen if Tyree leaves.
  13. ...And there ya go. This news is not unexpected. We've already discussed it was likely. I don't think Vantrease is the guy but who knows? What about that kid from West Seneca, he's supposed to be very good....and they have a true freshman from Ohio coming in to the program who looks solid.
  14. The first amendment right of "Free Speech" I thought pertained to government. You're allowed to peacefully protest the U.S. government. Am I wrong about that? It does not protect all speech against sports teams, the workplace or wherever. There are consequences to shouting obscenities and flipping off....and the organization can choose to enforce whatever they need to. That's what I think.
  15. Cmon, I’m as much of a Bills homer than anyone...but Darnold has been a better QB than Allen. I don’t even have to see the stats. I know he has at least a few 300+ yd games. Allen’s receivers may not be quite as good, but no one around the league really fears the Jets receivers and Oline. As of today, Darnold *looks* like he will be a better passing QB than Allen or Rosen.
  16. I have no clue? But he was out of work for two different periods of time and during that he signed with the crappy Raiders for 5 minutes.
  17. One of my colleagues at work has a distant family member with a low level coaching gig at Michigan. He talks about it all the time. Says his connection tells him that Harbaugh does nothing, zippo. He’s a figurehead there and has delegated everything. He slaps hands, speaks for the program and his name lands recruits. Maybe that’s perfect for the Jets?!?
  18. I think that short FG was more technical related and maybe some breeze in his face. I mean Haush drilled a few kickoffs and had plenty of leg on his other FG attempts.
  19. USATODAY.com “Yep, totally ready to play,” Anderson said Friday. The former Bronco and Panther rushed for 1,007 yards in Denver last season and has postseason experience, winning a Super Bowl with Wade Phillips and the Broncos a few years ago. The spotlight won’t be too big for him, having been in the NFL for six years. “Just been a cerebral guy my whole career,” Anderson said. “My competitive advantage is my football I.Q. and plenty of coaches and players around the league compliment me on that and I think that’s something that you take – you don’t get too many pluses in this league – so when you got one, you take it. I’m happy that that’s one of mine and if I’ve gotta go Sunday, I’m ready to go.” It’s easy to see why the Rams brought in a player of his caliber and experience, knowing Gurley might be a scratch on Sunday.
  20. For the record, I wasn’t suggesting in any way that C.J. would’ve averaged 4.5 ypc and/or made this rushing attack suddenly dangerous. I’m just saying the RB position has been in flux, suffered some injuries during the period C.J. was available. And this GM and coach have had no problem bringing in guys like Kaelin Clay, Kelvin, DA, Star, etc. ex-Panthers. They will jettison a punter after one shank. The dude yesterday was running North/South and bowling people over. Would’ve been worth a look when he was on the streets, That’s all.
  21. True. But they are close with that organization and know some front office personnel. I suspect they have a very close eye on what the Panthers are doing and who they release. With each passing year of course their interest w that organization will diminish.
  22. C.J. Anderson had a helluva day filling in for Gurley yesterday. Seems like the Carolina connection, McBeane, could’ve snagged him between Nov. 12 -Dec. 4. Then again in mid December when he was on the streets. The guy is a bull and would’ve helped the sorry running game here.
  23. Swearinger has been an idiot all season. He’s bad mouthed the coaching staff for in game calls and the teams’ practice habits. He was asked to address his issues in-house with the staff and his teammates but he continued to go to the media with his complaints. He’s a jerk, not a good lockerroom guy to say the least.
  24. There’s typically a pretty big leap in performance from Freshman to sophomore year. I’d like to see stats of that. Maybe im a homer but I think Allen is poised for the biggest leap. His play and mental game will improve as will the supporting cast around him. Darnold worries me because I think he will also make a nice leap and be a very solid QB for NY. Mayfield and Jackson are interesting because I think both are playing very good ball and I’m not sure how much better they’ll get?? What’s their ceiling? They’re already playing like they’ve been around a while, especially Baker. Rosen I have no clue about. I can’t figure him out.
  25. It really is noticeable when you watch the rest of the league. Can our guys just make a few catches per game that maybe they’re not supposed to make?!?! I thought Robert Foster was the best looking Receiver on the team at tracking the ball. Then he lets an 80yd TD reception fall harmlessly in front of him and points wildly at his eyes. Dude, fight through it and be prepared in advance for that possibility. Logan Thomas? Not NFL caliber, no hands. I’d much rather have slower Nick O’Leary who was a solid possession guy. Isaiah and Zay? They have trouble corralling Josh’s ropes with their hands. We don’t need anymore body catchers. Be an NFL WR for goodness sake.
