Diggs was on Cowherd this afternoon as well. Great interview, some great answers.

Some good takes there...but there is one thing i will dispute. There's no way hard core Bills fans can honestly say to themselves they would've drafted Mahomes. I followed that 2017 pre-draft hype for months and there was almost no mention of the Bills having any interest in Patrick Mahomes. It's very easy to say after he throws 50 TD's that sure we should've taken him. but he was never even under consideration. Now I definitely was on the Deshaun Watson train and recall hoping we would draft him, but Mahomes? no way. That was a brilliant move by Andy Reid and he scooped everyone. Here's one blurb about the KC Chiefs first round grade immediately after that draft from a major website. Pretty laughable to read now. Although they gave Chicago a D- for Trubisky so that was fairly accurate. 10. Patrick Mahomes, QB Texas Tech — Kansas City Chiefs (from Buffalo) Grade: C- Analysis: Calling Mahomes a project is a major understatement. He’s nowhere near ready to play in the NFL. And, honestly, he may never be. Between his inconsistent accuracy due to poor mechanics, his tendency to bail from clean pockets and his lack of field vision, he’s going to leave as many big plays on the field as he creates. This was a risky pick.

It never ceases to amaze me, how many people comment about how stupid a thread is, or a dumb analysis.. but then proceed to read the thread and comment on it?!? Anyway- for the record I am aware how talented the KC offensive personnel is, as well as their defense and coaching.

Saw him in an interview, and he's talking about how cool it would be to be the repeat champs, etc.. He's excited for it. He wasn't being cocky or arrogant, but he just has a confidence and swag about him. The guy is not rattled whatsoever by the big stage and the big moment. He knows going in that he will play well, it's not even a question. That combined with his arm, athletic ability and QB IQ, is a pretty lethal combination.

Heard a breakdown on tv of how McVay& GM orchestrated this trade from a resort in Cabo San Lucas last weekend. Apparently, McVay and Bills WR coach Chad Hall are great friends from their high school football days when they were both QB's on rival teams in the same town. Matt Stafford's wife is the former Kelly Hall, Chad's sister. So McVay has some round about relationship with the Stafford's and the trade worked out.

It's a lock that McKenzie will be wearing a Miami Dolphins helmet next season. He torched them in that final, very impressive game and I'm guessing the Fins will make him their primary returner and new offensive weapon. McD and Daboll should be charged with neglect for not utilizing McKenzie more in the KC game while the game was still competitive.

Feel for the game. I don't think we had the plays, or the execution to convert those 4th downs,..certainly not the goal to go one. I'm fine with the FG at the end of half. The other one, 4th and 3? he probably should have went for. But McD saw what i saw, the Bills simply were not executing well in that game until the very end when the Chiefs were playing softer zones.

Greg Olsen on Cowherd "a little bit of buyers remorse"
zow2 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't disagree with that. But dang, he should have picked Buffalo and he would've been with all his Carolina boys..and a gunslinger QB. Oh well, we have Dawson Knox and Lee Smith...all good. -
At the beginning of a segment with Greg Olsen, Cowherd was sarcastically apologetic about helping to steer Olsen to Seattle last summer (in a series of texts). Olsen said he had a good experience with the Seahawks but he'd be lying if he didn't have some buyers remorse. Said he has a bunch of friends on the Bills. Anyway, just thought it was interesting.

The Bills needed a week off before the playoffs--KC got two
zow2 replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Chiefs put to bed the notion that the team will get rusty if they tank it in week #17 and bench all their important players. They got some rest, got their minds right and came back rejuvenated and Better.
