  1. I guess the answer is it depends. On the Von trade, there's often under the table conversations going on. Did he know there would be a good chance the Bills could resign Von. If so then would lean towards yes. But also need to know if same trade deal was offered to Bills.
  2. Thinking back too when Miller first signed ,he was listed on some sights as a LB so could see him filling that role here too Think rather than your choices listed for Nickel /Hybrid better chance it would be Rapp
  3. As someone posted the other day, how is there really a true middle LB when there are only two of them on the field to start with? I think overall there will be more 2 LB's 3 Lineman, 3 CB and 3S whenever in passing downs and sounds like Williams would be fine in passing downs. Klein isn't a bad LB as long as he's not asked to cover anyone. With 3 safety's on field, he doesn't need to. Likely the lineman that will come out will be Jones. Throw in a blitzer coming form anyone on any given play.
  4. Yes but the cap hit was also very high, one of those were the salary almost equaled the cap hit. But someone pointed out if they cut him in August is a $6 mil saving. So wouldn't rule it out. I'd imagine it would depend on how the other six all look and the 7th round rookie. If they are afraid to cut any of them, then someone has to go either cut or trade. Not a high likelihood of it happening, but most years usually include one surprise cut.
  5. I think many do want him gone and have zero confidence that he'll ever be any good when you read comments either in this post or others. Agree bringing is some competition is fine, but many want him replaced and that is without much merit. From this thread alone: when he eventually sucks this season. stubbornly doubling down on that investment Do you think he would do any worse than Brown last year? Doubt it.
  6. I just looked up Reid Ferguson, he's 29. I wonder if you just took out one player like him how much would that lower the average age? As close as the lowest to the highest is, a little over a year total, really not worrying all that much about it.
  7. What I like about Brown is what he has NOT and did NOT do! He didn't play his last year in college as school canceled program due to Covid He did not have a full rookie off season as thing were still not at 100% due to Covid changes He didn't play every game as rookie as got hurt mid way through year, believe it was his back and may have been playing a bit hurt late in the season He didn't have any off season his 2nd year due to rehabbing from back surgery. He hasn't yet played 3 NFL seasons He didn't have the same O line coach the last three years he played, two in the NFL and last year of college He didn't have the same lineman playing next to him the past two season which for an inexperienced player to start with takes some time getting use to. These are a few things that he didn't do. Ad them all up and you have a player that really no one knows what he can do. Really need one more full season to see what he is capable of and everyone who says how terrible he is, really have no idea. These are probably many of the same who wanted to get rid of Tyler Bass after about 4 games, Dawson Knox being another.
  8. Thought I recalled at the end of the year he had back surgery?? He initially was sitting out for ankle, but back was bothering him and didn't get better. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2023/1/26/23572669/jake-kumerow-injury-buffalo-bills-back-surgery-recovery-training-camp-2023
  9. Actually it's 27 catches, but he was on the roster for ST play and if needed, could contribute when called upon. The Bills were pretty healthy at WR excluding slot which he didn't play so they didn't need him very often on offense. Late half of this past year likely could have used him, but he was hurt himself.
  10. Likely little interest in Kumerow league wide due to injury and surgery. I'm guessing no one signs him till medically cleared. Could see the Bills signing him to PS as insurance against injury elsewhere on roster. But Rodgers may want him for Jets
  11. Add to that agents will tend to steer UDFA towards weaker teams as player then has better chance to make roster, so Bills aren't getting the cream of the crop. Player drafted typically will get bigger contract and bigger signing bonus and teams will more try to hang onto the guy.
  12. Have the Bills signed the entire Florida roster??
  13. Absolutely!! Absolutely! Easy when posting that the words don't reflect what the mind is thinking. I highlighted the 6 just to say we have 6 interior lineman and typically only five are kept so one is likely gone off 53. thee consecutive thoughts, all bundled into ole bolded text. Doubt anyone goes anywhere till the end of August just in case a bad long term injury Of the 6, McGovern and Torrance are the two locks to stay. IMO Ike B is the easiest to cut and bring back on PS Bates would likely want to be kept for his versatility, but he also may bring the most back in trade value. If thinking about the future, then Morse is best to let go as likely with the others all being younger, this is probably Morse last year so rather than risk losing one of the others now and then Morse in another year, let him go now. As someone else stated, cutting bates saves $6 mil. Ideally trade him, but unlikely anyone would take on that contract. Once you get beyond the two locks Edwards has the least history with the team so unless he impresses in camp, he could become the easiest to cut
  14. The 6 in bold are the interior lineman, excluding McGovern and Torrence, one of the other 4 will get cut or traded, my bet would be on Boettger as typically teams go with 5 interior and 4 tackles. Or could they make a more shocking move and cut Morse? Not 100% certain Torrence will start, could be Bates instead. But if they were to cut Morse, then Torrence starts at guard and Bates at Center
  15. There were 5 TE's drafted before Knox, none of them are still with the team that drafted them. Gronk was drafted in 2nd, Kittle 3rd, and Kelce 5th (may have those 2 reversed??) TE IMO is the 2nd hardest position to project other than QB. Having said that, sounds like the Bills plan to use him more like a slot receiver so makes me less worried. Likely the biggest thing he'll need to improve is his blocking.
  16. Agree LOL. Last year Edmunds was MLB, so was Milano RLB or LLB? or did he play two different positions? When only two are on the field is kind of hard to argue who's the MLB.
  17. Except in obvious run plays, likely their defense will be 3 Lineman and likely Jones comes off, 2LB (Milano and probably Klein) 3 CB and 3 S with Rapp being 3rd. Klein played pretty well, won defensive player of the week once they used him strictly against run and as blitzer. As long as he's not asked to cover someone, he does OK. Can see most plays either Milano or Klein blitzing and on occasion throw in CB or S to mix things up. Maybe one of these other names at LB shows significant improvement and takers Klein's spot?
  18. Agree, then who comes off the field? I'm thinking DT, Jones? Then have 2 LB on field and one of them may blitz on any given play, so up to offense to figure out which one it is. An on occasion blitz a safety to mix things up.
  19. Maybe. Depends how much he's improved, if not a better chance of it being Klein, but with 3 lineman, 2 LB, 3CB and 3S on the field. Either way, think 2nd LB position will be less showcased overall.
  20. I'll go with wither Hyatt or a LB, Simpson or Sanders
  21. He's not a newscaster or actor so not necessarily trained to a super high degree in public speaking. Likely reading off a teleprompter which I'd imagine can be confusing as may be easy to either get a head or fall behind.
  22. The other side of this not many names on the list other than Gronk and Kelsey. Finding that guy is very hard. There were if I recall either 5 or 6 TE's drafted before Knox, not one of them is still on the team that drafted him, one is now in the Arena League. Gronk was drafted in2nd round, Kelce 3rd, and Kittle 5th. Tells me very difficult to predict who that next TE superstar will be. Kincaid certainly has everything you need on paper but will it work out, hopefully it will. He isn't the typical TE type so that is in his favor. I'm fine with the pick, but this whole argument of how we need the star TE IMO is overblown as they are near impossible to find. So not so sure it's worth trying for. Hopefully he's the next big star, but if so likely will be due to not being a conventional TE
  23. Why not make it easier and call it the 4 D's or D Cubed; Diggs, Davis, Dalton, and Dawson Actually when I first saw the title of the post, the two TE's was who I assumed you were referring to and the "KK" part was in reference to the original K Gun offense, but now have two players.
  24. I tried to vote for all 3 choices, but it wouldn't let me. Depends who's available, if moving up 3 or 4 slots could gets us the LB Sanders, then worth it or for similar player. But moving back could be good too if no one there that the team wants.
