  1. You also have Doyle, so that leaves 12 OL and means you'll be cutting three of them, plus any other lower rated players they may have as typically teams go wit h9 on the 53 man roster. To me that's not a good use of money as likely cutting players you just gave a signing bonus too. Granted not high bonuses, but when tight against the cap to start with, every $$ counts.
  2. So who are you cutting? They now have inside Morse, Bates, McGovern, Ike B, & Edwards. Quez even played some guard last season. That's 5, normally all a team carries and have 3 guys who can play center. Unless it's a sixth or seventh round draft pick can get away with cutting him and moving him to PS, anything higher, they risk another team grabbing him. To me it doesn't make much sense to draft or sign guys in the spring, play them signing bonus to then turn around and cut. I know they did it last year with Howard, but not good use of money.
  3. These are the same people who wanted to get rid of Bass after about 4 games too! And every August state how if the Bills don't keep so and so on the roster, most often an undrafted rookie, he'll be grabbed up by another team only to see no interest in player.
  4. Thought it was funny about 2 weeks ago hearing Rodgers ripping the Packers for not being up front with their plans to move on. This is the same guy two seasons ago, Green bay had no idea what he was planning to do, play retire, no one knew. Hey Arron, as they say, what goes around comes around!
  5. Well that's true, but very likely they are going to lay down the fiber lines with or without ST. I wonder too how much fiber are they laying down compared to Verizon and ATT? Are they really a big player? I'd have been more than happy with the streaming online version, then no box or hardware needed. I'd have paid them $300 for that. When I stated I couldn't find an address to work to get the service I was also referring to the streaming version then too.
  6. Yes but You Tube didn't have to pay to lay the fiber down your street, or maintain. Or send someone out to your house to fix and issue or first time start up. While it can take some time and pressing about ten different prompts, you can talk with someone at the cable company or even DTV. If anything the internet providers will keep raising the prices and they have more of a monopoly on you. Whereas there are so many streaming service to choose from will help keep prices in check Has anyone ever spoken to someone at You Tube? And frankly very little of anything to talk with them about. So yes, You Tube TV will go up in price in fact they just did, but won't need to raise prices as much as cable does.
  7. Agree, the cost for the boxes and all these extra fees was what made it crazy high.. Plus DTV would always jack the prices way up once the initial discounts expired. It was crazy. I recall when I finally dumped DTV, my discounts had expired and the price was going to like double. I called them up and they maybe offered me like $10 off total. So dumped them, 2 weeks later they offered me a price much cheaper than what I was even asking them to give me. But then was too late, had already went elsewhere. They will still get maybe $300 from each person for ST. There still are many with cable, other streaming services, etc that don't want to give up what they already have. If they required you to also have You Tube TV or make it too pricey, these people may not bother subscribing to ST. Instead they'll do what many folks do and use the illegal downloads. Can't recall how many times I'd see someone post here, they'd gladly pay for ST if it didn't require them to also subscribe to DTV for another $1500 a year or so and this was when Cable still cost around $75 a month. If you Tube can just convert even half the illegal streamers to their product, they'll be well ahead. And don't anyone post that you could get ST without DTV if you had an eligible address. I tried many addresses, even used my mothers address from when she was in a nursing home and that came back as ineligible.
  8. Boy I hope not. What else will we have to complain about then?
  9. I wonder if there is any type of lag on announcements on Sundays?? Is there an NFL office acknowledgement required first before teams woulds announce and they aren't working Sunday??
  10. OK, Monday is the first day of spring. I'll be waiting for an email!! Is the delay actually You Tube or just due to internet streaming lag within each users one home? Wonder if this will be like when HD TV first came out. Think it was on DTV, was an extra monthly $10 cost, but eventually once it became mainstream, the extra fee was dropped. The biggest reason I have You Tube over any type of cable package is I own two houses, so allows me to pay for one service and use it in two locations.
  11. More insight into Miller's time at the combine. For those questioning the motives it was originally suggested by Beane he come to the combine. Article also touches on him doing this and issues with tampering, though think it would more be a case of anyone from other teams talking to Miller would be the teams in trouble, not the Bills. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/von-miller-brandon-beane-general-manager/article_48c931bc-c4dd-11ed-a6fe-83ca5e31b5f5.html?utm_source=buffalonews.com&utm_campaign=%2Fnewsletter-templates%2Flocal%2Fbills&utm_medium=PostUp&lctg=4092700&tn_email_eh1=f2f6da65fd0a372cbbfa3da63dae5ef3bd72e8f6
  12. You won't get a good return on any trade with him, but wouldn't say no one would be interested. A team with a lot of money to spare may take a gamble on him. Yes he's a FA next season, but whomever he plays for in 2023 does have the inside track on signing him to a new contact as a last resort could tag him. Also that team can sign him prior to next March. Will he get traded not likely, but if the Bills were desperate to offload the salary, I'm sure they could find a taker at a low return on value.
  13. Likely the only teams that would be interested in Oliver would be a team in a rebuild mode and has the money to take a chance on him. If he has a good year he could be the centerpiece of the D line and sign him to a new contract. If he doesn't work out and plays better, they let him go. BUT likely going to get a poor return for him as teams are taking on over paid contract. Or maybe a contending team that has a big hole at DT. Could have a better chance on getting a better return by waiting till August and maybe a contender loses their DT for season to injury. Kind of like how we signed Star 5 years ago. He was a FA so didn't give up anything, but took a chance on him being the seasoned vet to build around. It didn't work out too well as good mediocre return, though do think he provided more value than stat sheet showed.
  14. So does this mean he signed the tender or the team worked out a more long term deal?
  15. And why would you when you also have a top 5 QB. Tenn and Indy run a lot because they can't pass well. Even the Giants this past year which helped make Jones look better at QB. We're the opposite, our QB can make a RB look better.
  16. Yes it was a joke, but I suppose in todays day and age, it very likely could be true. On a serious question, does Poyer have to wait until 4:00 today to sign with Bills or since he was with team last season, can he sign prior? Or is this also just another "legal tampering" deal?
  17. I drive a Subaru, why you insulting me like this!
  18. There's a go fund me page being started for this!
  19. You don't think he would sign say a 3 year year maybe around a $10 mil contract, this year $1 mil salary and $3 mil bonus, 2024 $2.5 mil, 2025 $3.5 mil, $5 mil total guaranteed? Bills would still have easy out in 2025 for $1mil
  20. Tender is only for year, can they turn around and now offer him a 2 or 3 year deal at lower number for 2023? Or are you not allowed to do that with tendered players?
  21. don't worry, they'll resign him. They are just waiting for the right time.
  22. The people actually working for NFL teams seem to disagree. The one player on the Bills I'd agree on is in keeping Taiwan Jones. He is the one player I'd agree is a waste of roster spot. Rest of them have no problem with including Kumarow.
  23. Agree could be not doing it till needed, but also makes you wonder if they are concerned with pushing money down the road. You won't do that unless certain player will be here. Likely nothing going on, but does make you wonder a little
  24. Actually the Bengals spent more money and 49er's almost as much as the Bills. So actually it's more a case of those teams making bad player or coaching choices as the money hasn't helped them. KC certainly has spent very little, but now down to only two outliers so have to question if more to the story with them. There's also many teams with bad records AND bad ST rankings so that would just as easily say it's a good investment; NO, Indy, Tenn, Denver,
  25. Interesting stats. I do think ST is more important than many think and this also show the Bills are devoting around the same amount of resources as other teams. Everyone keeps bringing up keeping Kumerow over Hodgins, but also stated many times Hodgins didn't play ST so even if he were kept, likely he'd have not been activated on Sunday anyway. While Kumerow played a big role on ST, he also on rare occasions was used as a WR when called upon. From that standpoint, the one guy on the Bills I'd like to see them not bring back as T Jones as he's never used for anything but ST
