  1. I probably should have stated it as: Allen for the most part has not displayed the ability to be patient for an extended period of time. Now whats an extended period. All game, consecutive games?? I'd be happy with one game, start to finish. My quote was copied and pasted from the article so it's however accurate the writer got it down. So yeah he may be calling the plays Allen likes, but the defense is waiting for him on them. However if he was really calling the plays Allen likes it would be; run left, hurdle LB on 3
  2. Good article in Today's Athletic, was titled "How do you tame a wild quarterback like Josh Allen". I'm not going to post a link as if you don't have a sub, can't read it. It talked about Brett Farve never having less than 13 Int's a year and better than a 2.3% Int rate. At age 40 Brad Childress was his coach and calmed him down though Childress gives much of the credit to DC Leslie Frazier who was a calming influence to him. It also contained a fair amount of comments from Kevin Gilbide who is working at breaking down Monday Night games His points were defenses have figured him out: “I would take away the quick throws outside,” Gilbride said. “Right now he’s much more comfortable throwing the clear, easy-to-read stuff outside the numbers. I would play as much quarters coverage (as I could) to force him to read stuff in the middle of the field, force him to see the high-low stuff and make decisions. I’m not sure he’s reading those things at all. That’s what I would do to slow him down.” Allen for the most part has not displayed the ability to be patient. He can for stretches of time, but then tends to revert back to the reckless side of things. in the past after a game like last week, the good Josh will be on display this week, but for how long is the question??
  3. Reminds me of the comment made might have been 30 or 40 years ago by Bum Phillips. He was talking about Don Shula (when he was in his prime coaching years) Bum said: " He can take his guys and beat your guys or take your guys and beat his guys!"
  4. Recall going to one game and passed this group of tailgaters. I'm guessing one of the group must have worked in an appliance store and they brought with them an empty refrigerator carton, cut through one side to make a door, so inside was their own group port-a-pottie. When the game ended happened to walk through this same section of the lot. The carton was gone but was pretty apparent what was there prior just by looking down at the pavement.
  5. Personally I think Daboll may be getting too much credit here. I think he may have got out of town just in time before teams figured Josh out and would have been the same issues even if he were still here. Agree the fall out in the media since Monday has been rather brutal.
  6. Figured him out in that let's make him be patient as he can't. He will for awhile, but then as others stated the hero ball and arm arrogance takes over. Maybe he needs to hear/read more in the media ripping him about these things to take it to heart.
  7. Very good except around Jimmy Hoffa's body
  8. Agree, there was no combination that provided both the NE and Miami games. There is an option within YTTV to give feedback and I told them about this. So far haven't received anything back from them, but maybe feedback to them just goes int o a black hole. No you're not missing something. YTTV is a bit different than a traditional cable box. Instead you just select what you want from the options provided. Do agree is not nearly as easy to move around. On a normal basis I just "like" what I want to view, then go afterward to library to view it. But that isn't practical for the games on a Sunday. Do you actually have YTTV or sounds like you just have ST and are watching thru You Tube. AlphaDawg and I solved this one. If you have YTTV the local games are available and can select in multiview which is something you could not do in DTV. But if viewing through You Tube interface, then local games will not appear.
  9. Yup, couldn't get those two together. Meanwhile at the 1:00 time slot they had about ten multiview options to pick from. So many it was difficult to separate which was which.
  10. Was listening yesterday think it was on the CBS pregame show and they were commenting how Hamlin is the prohibitive favorite for comeback player of the year. Just read an article on ESPN stating likely Hamlin won't be active tonight. Barring injuries, that could be a theme throughout the year. So potentially we could have the prohibitive favorite for comeback player of the year hardly ever plays all season. That could be interesting to see how that plays out then.
  11. Yes I am a YTTV subscriber so that does explain why I had all 5 and you only had 3. Agree too is nice that the local games can be viewed with the ST games so that is nicer than DTV was. But was annoying that I couldn't pick the 4 games I wanted. I was able to send YTTV feedback on this, will be interesting to see if I hear anything back from them or is their feedback just a black hole?
  12. It could be that multiview was pulling the "local" game off the local channel, but either way was giving me the games, just not he choice of the 4 I wanted. If that was true that's actually better than what DTV did
  13. He must have watched the Bills Ravens playoff game from 2 years ago and thought he was Johnson. Typically people who play football all their life aren't members of Menza. Players always want to be hero's
  14. Not the case. There were 5 games on late today. The map below show the games on and the yellow dot represents my home market. Thru YTTV I was able to all choose from the 5 games being televised which ones I wanted to watch in multiview but not the 4 I wanted to view at the same time. At one point I had the NE, Denver, Rams, & Bears, at another point I had Fish, Rams, Bears, & Redzone. But could not pick the 4 I wanted which were NE, Fish, Rams, & Bears. So the fact that at any time could watch the local televised games in multiview, just not with the others that I wanted tells me it was a different issue. Basically they are not giving all options of all games.
  15. I gave it a good grade to for the early games, since Bills weren't on, used multi view, everything great. Now have the late games there are a total of 5 games on right now. For the four games I want to choose all of them except the Raiders Denver game. That is the one choice that is not there. In the early time slot, they had about 10 different options to pick from. With only 5 games total lot less options, they only give 3 and not the one I want. This sucks!
  16. I switched audio to another game then back, now it seems like it's synced up
  17. Yeah that too. Good chance he will be elevated to the 53 at some point. Question is will it end up being in Buffalo or will some other team first sign him due to their own injuries.
  18. How do you do that? Would be nice if YTTV set out an email tomorrow asking users for feedback. I'm watching the Bengals Browns game and it appears the audio is about one second ahead of the video. The last play the announcer was saying "And Watson is hit" before he was actually hit.
  19. Wonder if the networks like or dislike the competing 4:25 games starts? Other than the first and last week of the season, only one coast to coast 4:25 game each week. Having exclusive viewing at 4:25 is better, but is still getting some viewership each week by showing a late game better than no viewership when no game is on? Could be bad later in the season if it turns out one of the networks has a bad game, likely more games would get flexed if both networks could show late games.
  20. Can't complain about the speed on mine, but that's likely an issue of speed each user has based on area usage. Is kind of funny in multi view seeing the same commercials in the same order, at a slightly different time
  21. The problem Isabella had to overcome to make the roster was he provided the same identical role as both Harty and Shakir, WR and return man. Gilliam provides a much different ST role and it's a role that without Gilliam, they'd need to find someone else to fill that spot. Has Isabella ever played the role of a gunner? Very likely too if Isabella had made the 53, he'd be inactive as can't see them going with 6 WR on Sunday's when there's a good chance they will be using 2 TE's more this year, and you have 5 other WR's who are above him in the pecking order. So to me hard to argue Isabella would have contributed more as barring injury, he'd likely never had even been active. I do think if there is an injury to any WR or one of the 5 ahead of him falters real bad, likely Isabella would be the first guy called up to replace him.
  22. Yes see there's a bout 10 choices of which multi view games you want to watch. Would prefer a list of all the games and let me just put a check mark on the ones I want, then hit OK to those I selected. This setup is a bit confusing to notice the differences.
  23. Don't recall starting last year with anyone injured either. Most all happened in the first 3 or 4 weeks, Davis, Hyde, Poyer. Allen, Miller and Brown came later on.
  24. Somewhat glad the Bills aren't playing today as gives me a "practice week" with using the YTTV interface and figuring it all out. Likely will be very straight forward, but just in case it's not, won't be in panic mode.
  25. The concept isn't a terrible idea, but as has been pointed out KC still have Kelce. The other issue would be the cap hit. Believe it's been stated that for this season and next, the Bills are stuck with Diggs due to the hit. But in 2025 if there is any more whining, issues coming from Diggs, at that point, he likely would be gone once the cap hit is low enough. Personally I wasn't a big fan of getting Hopkins for the reasons the OP stated, we don't need a second elite WR. One plus the talent around him when throwing in Allen is enough to win with.
