  1. The irony is he's more likely to pass the all time loss record first and no one will ever break that. My son in law who is a big Pats fan thinks it's worthless for him to go after that as he figures Andy Reid will beat out both of them for most wins, though he's not exactly a spring chicken either.
  2. Yeah I couldn't recall when I wrote this, was he All Pro or Pro Bowl which is like anyone still standing in January makes the Pro Bowl. So to be safe and not be challenged, I said top 10, but I felt he was more like top 5 or higher too.
  3. I think Bernard could be better than Edmunds, but that's big leap for Williams to be better than Milano, who is being talked about as one of top 10 in league if not higher. That being said Williams could be better than Milano post injury or at least through the 2024 season. By 2025 Williams is in his 3rd year, so could see him replacing Milano barring a miraculous recovery. Certainly this injury will drastically accelerate Williams learning curve. But overall IMO team would be better right now, by year end, and in 2024 with Milano & Bernard as the starters.
  4. Here's my pet peeve on this subject. A DL jumps off sides but the play continues. Then an O lineman commits a hold to prevent his QB from getting killed and penalties offset.
  5. In yesterdays BN this was discussed and comment was likely won't be able to afford him as teams tend to over pay for pass rushers so likely the idea of a hometown discount goes out th window. Maybe if the Bills sign him now could get him cheaper, but if they wait till year end, be surprising unless they make him their top priority to resign. Though think they'd also want to sign D Jones more longer term too.
  6. One article stated he was on the filed on the two longer, late runs be Barkley. After the 2nd one, he was pulled.
  7. Good thing Oliver has a big new contract with all the fines he's been racking up.
  8. Is this 3 weeks in a row now with a dumb penalty by Oliver?
  9. Interesting article I read yesterdays can't recall where, compared Milano's rookie year, how Rambo Hunter was stater and Milano was brought along slowly, but by the end of the year though he was the starter. Article thought the same thing may happen here, on likely running plays, you'll see Dobson, but on pass plays Williams and if if Williams learns not to over pursue will see more of him.
  10. When I looked at this weeks schedule all I saw were bad game in the entire 1:00 slot. So can't say western NY got screwed, the entire country did. Bengals were supposed to be one of the best teams in conference so that was expected to be a good one. If you really were interested in watching the Miami Carolina game, I'd suggest finding a better hobby.
  11. Yeah, but they'd be great on field goals!
  12. No I count 9 as big. I meant numbers as in they had to let someone go so he was the odd man out and likely didn't want to sign him to more than 1 year deal based on age.
  13. Yeah but the same problem would exist if bringing a new WR. To me it's even worse as both the QB and the WR need to learn from each other and that takes time and practice which today's NFLPA rules doesn't allow for much of that. At this point in season, I'd think they'd be further ahead in making the fast ball, faster by using more Kincaid, Harty, Shakir, and Sherfield. If you're going for a big trade I'd rather see them go for a guy like a Surtan at CB
  14. Not sure I'd count Hughes as he was more a numbers thing and is at the tail end of his career. Was surprised to see he had 9 sacks last season. I think this is true of most FA. If the player was really good, the team would have re-signed him. Wasn't Teller traded too? That's a little different as the Bills didn't just let him go, they got something back and didn't that pick get used to draft Bass? As Marv Levy once said, Most free agents hurt the team they leave, more than they help the team they go to.
  15. LOL I think the Bills have much bigger problems than WR2 right now. 3 weeks ago, maybe, now CB and LB are way ahead of a luxury pick.
  16. I'm watching on TV yelling throw it, but agree he waited to long. People are pointing to the drop by Cook, Unless there was another one, I recall the one early in the game and that was one of these where he's like 5 yards away from Allen, barely turned his head and Allen is firing a fastball at him. And blaming him for the drop?? A couple weeks back there was a similar one, think it was to Knox. Too often Allen isn't giving the receiver a fair shot to catch it on these 5 yard passes.
  17. But you could still make the experiment work and use a team from the prior Thursday night game. You could even have a permanent team over there and either use Thursday night teams or teams coming off their bye. Actually the biggest issue may be for the permanent London team when they return from a road trip, with the time difference would make for a shorter practice week.
  18. I actually was rooting for the Jets mainly because of Paytons uncalled for comments back in July about Hackett. This was kind of a revenge game for him and couldn't happen to a nicer guy in Payton. Did think it was funny at the end when Wilson fumbled the last time, as he walked off the field Payton said something to him and Wilson just walked by and ignored him. Not sure which of the two I like less though Wilson or Payton, tough call there.
  19. How many games a year does Eisen actually do? Has to be tough if not being a regular announcer working every week.
  20. I saw one place that stated the Bills wanted their international game scheduled in the next couple of seasons, prior to opening the new one. So they gave them this.
  21. Yeah but money does talk too! I 'd still like to know why they put the turf down over the grass though? Was it fear of damaging the soccer pitch?
  22. Not with the same team playing consecutive weeks. There's been much made up about the Bills traveling over only on Thursday evening, but that was the same schedule Jax used the week prior. Difference was both teams did the same a week ago. That to me did make this rather unfair, then add to it as someone pointed out in another thread, the Bills were the home team this week so should have been given the travel advantage. Would have been much fairer since Bills were home team if a week ago, Bills played Jax with Bills home team, then this week Jax was home team against someone ideally who played the Thursday night prior so give them extra time for travel if they choose to use it or not.
  23. And I'm not arguing with you either that artificial turf doesn't increase injuries, but league studies haven't proved that and have faulted other studies, so no definitive proof either way.
  24. But that argument goes both ways. It's not an exact science so can't prove the field had anything to do with the injuries either. There was an article in todays Athletic that talked about how they put the artificial turf over the grass, but no explanation as to why. Only thing I can think of is the Premier League didn't want their grass field chewed up by a bunch of barbaric Americans
