  1. Agree, I think 2024 could be a small rebuild year for the Bills so let the Jets take off that year. By the time the Bills restock the cupboard, Rogers will be done and Miami and the Bengals will be on 2nd contracts for all their stars and won't be able to afford them all.
  2. He may need to start juicing do build up some strength. Agree with many of the posts, for a CB, speed is their most important asset. Having had a torn ACL and Achilles will be very hard for him to ever be able to recover from that. We've all seen what Miller looks like so far coming back less than year after surgery, would imagine all of 2024 White would be like that and can the team afford to wait for him until 2025 with no promises then as to how good he'd be.
  3. Also agree with many others that Beane and McD can go/stay separately, one has little to do with the other. GM's are more often given 2 even 3 shots at a HC hiring. Actually right now Beane has never hired a HC. Maybe this low energy things is Allens problem. Think he needs a new shrink!
  4. Knox is either 8th or 9th highest paid TE in the league and most of the players behind him pay wise are on contacts expiring this coming off season which likely means by this time next year, Knox may be like the 17th highest paid TE or lower. With the emergence of Kincaid, he very likely will become the Bills primary blocking TE, but also one of the better blocking TE's who can actually catch passes and run routes in the league so can't just ignore him. He won't be the next Lee Smith! Did Allen give input sure, but to say they were signed and given big contracts because of Allen is just laughable. From what's been written, there has been an effort to find a #2 WR, talks with OBJ, Hopkins, and who knows who else. But they also didn't have the money to spend. Add into that hope that Davis would develop also factored in so don't want to spend big money on a player when the answer may be with a guy on a rookie contract.
  5. Allen does have one of the strongest arms in the league. He can likely beat most teams with his arm alone and could become a great pocket passer, but think to do that he has to has to have a much stronger WR group around him, little better protection from the line and a better run game to keep defenses honest, and have a RB that defenses need to worry about, but is also a very strong blocker. Does make me wonder the was these days league wide, RB's often don't get 2nd contracts, will the ones who start out as weak blockers ever be around long enough to develop good skills as a blocker?
  6. Stroud has looked real good. But there have been a number of 1st year wonders who turn into 2nd year dunces. In addition, many other things have to go just right for the team to become top notch all around. I will say this, if Stroud does continue his rise and turns out to be a real star QB, the Texan were very lucky in that they had a star QB in Watson, things went bad with him so smartly parted ways, and this quickly got another star QB. There are many teams that haven't had one star QB in the past 20 years and they've managed to find two!
  7. This year may serve to be a bit of a humbling experience for him which could help. Something is wrong with him, easy thing is to blame the coaching, but who knows, could be more to it. Maybe he's felt things are too easy.
  8. If you change coaching staffs which I'm not disagreeing with, there also will likely need to be a bit of a mini rebuild too. At that point, think you're better off going with youth as in rookie WR than a guy like Evans. If you do decide to do the rebuild, then could be willing to take the hit and trade Diggs in the offseason. Long term that would be better, maybe even Miller. The other option is wait another year, less of as hit but then Bills likely would get less in return for Diggs. Let guys like Morse, Poyer, Hyde and some of the late signing fill in players like a Phillips go.
  9. Yeah I've been thinking the bye too barring wins over both the Jets and Eagles, though likely will only be Dorsey. Assuming they lose at least one of the two, it's likely not going to make a difference at that point so the problem I see with firing both Dorsey and McD mid season is now you kind of have to replace 3 people, OC, DC, and HC. Don't think I ever recall a team doing that mid season. Yes you could allow one of the newly named coordinators to also be the HC, but that's going to be hard enough on it's own without adding more responsibility to that person.
  10. Wasn't there an entire thread this past week about how if the Bills win the toss, they should take the ball first?
  11. What I'm simply saying is why would a team trade a 3rd round pick for a guy who you' yourself is saying isn't very good. You could probably have got a 5th or a 6th for him. This isn't the NBA where teams trade 1st rounders like they change underwear. In the NFL teams put high values on draft picks and only trade high ones for established stars. Teams gave up #1's for Hill and Diggs. Davis isn't close to that level to even get a 3rd. What none of use knew and while the coaches and front office had a much better idea, they also didn't know for certain how much Davis injury last year was effecting him last season. Two weeks a go Davis had a real good game. So what is the problem, Davis, or Allen not throwing to him enough, or the wrong plays being called for Davis? And to your point, while not likely, how do any of us know Beane didn't try and trade Davis, but again all he got were very low offers.
  12. Why would you want to trade a guy who's worth a 3rd round pick. I always laugh at these type of posts. This guys sucks, lets get rid of him, we can get a good pick for him! At this point and even prior to this year, I think more teams would question whether Davis's 4 TD playoff game was more of a fluke and not giving out a day two draft pick. Maybe could get a 5th or 6th for him. Add to that why trade a starter when the team has SB aspirations?
  13. Agree Giants were expected to be better, but is still rather funny that a 4:05 matchup likely is the better game. You Tube very happy, Fox not so sure. LOL
  14. 3 or 4 weeks ago, I read the same thing, but specific to defense players on IR. They were #1 then already. Many posters here like to say injuries aren't an excuse, but when 3 of your arguably top 5 defensive players are out, then add Oliver was out one game and still not 100% (nor is Groot) who would have made top 4 out of 5 and Miller is still a shell of a player he was a year ago at this time, it's no wonder the defense has struggled. The first 4 weeks everyone was praising the job McD did with the defense. Then the injuries happened which gave the haters a chance to be heard when the defense fell apart.
  15. I also went over, but agree the temper part could hurt him. I took the over mainly because offensive minded coaches always get a boost and overall the Bills offense stats are much better than many here like to give credit to. Admittedly the stats don't completely agree with the eye ball test. But ifthe team turns things around, could se him gettign some interviews. Was just reading an article this morning about issues in Carolina with Reich and the article mentioned that Dorsey had interviewed for that job, didn't remember that.
  16. Kind of sad that the best late afternoon game may be the 4:05 Lions- Chargers matchup as opposed to the two 4:25 "featured matchups" Fox must not be happy. Fortunately for them other than in the Detroit and LA areas, the rest of the county will be stuck with the 4:25 games unless you have ST to watch on. Admittedly NY and Dallas are big markets so that will help Fox some.
  17. Can't imagine who on the team he would have learned that from.
  18. No they compare Dabolls last 25 (2nd half of 2020 and all of 2021) to Dorseys first (and only) 25 They also took out a couple of games this year when the Bills offense looked real good like the Miami game and think it was the Raider game to compare just the Bills worst games against Dabolls stats and Dorsey still came out better in many categories. The problem is the eye ball test doesn't seem to agree with this article. HOWEVER after reading the article it may be that the offense isn't quite as bad as everyone here thinks. I also think the problem that stats don't show is the streaky-ness of the Bills offense both from game to game and even worse from drive to drive. Too many quarters they look terrible then get hot and up the build the stats.
  19. It still amazes me how many people and I'm talking national media types think the K gun was named for Kelly. Just read an article the other day we need to turn to the "A Gun"
  20. Could be how Krafts way to get rid of him without having to come out and fire him. BB elects to leave.
  21. There's a butcher by me that sells them. Was just looking at them the other day and all I could think was if this is the size of the oyster, how large was the rest that went with it?
  22. Maybe the difference was back then he had Beasley as the underneath outlet that he felt very comfortable with. Kincaid may be sliding into that role, but not quite there yet. Think to there's something either Allen feels this need to look for Diggs too often or Dorsey is designing the plays in such a way that it forces him to look for Diggs way to often.
  23. So I tore mine and recall the doc saying the thread they use to sew it back together is stronger than the actual tendon so not likely he tears the same one. But could tear the other one or pull hamstring or something else, much better chance of something like that happening. After my first one I kind of gave up on weekend sports as didn't want to risk tearing the other one and going through all that again. And I was younger than Rodgers even! LOL
  24. Why do you say that? Are you thinking if they finish in 2nd it changes who they play home and away? I thought so too but according to the site below, assuming it's correct it doesn't matter, they will play an AFC West team at home, if they were to finish in 2nd place, they won't play KC at all then assuming KC wins the west, but instead would play the AFC west 2nd place finisher in Buffalo, likely the Chargers. In 2025 they play the AFC West team in Buffalo again and in 2026 they explicitly play KC in Buffalo. So yes there may not be a home game against KC as may not play them at all, but won't play them in KC till the earliest 2027. https://fbschedules.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/
