I like this thread. Realistic fixes to problems rather than just b*tching about Beane not constructing the perfect team. Williams would be a nice replacement for Moss, short term. See if he has more juice... he'll definitely "want it" more than Moss. This might be a hot take, but I wouldn't mind giving BOTH Breida and Williams a shot next week and sitting Singletary. What does Singletary do well? Maybe some agility and some pass catching ability... but no speed and can't break a tackle to save his life. If you have bad O-Line play, you need guys who can either run away from the pressure or run through it. Singletary can't do either.

Lets move our franchise left tackle to Center, put Tommy Sweeney at left tackle because he’s agile, put an injured Feliciano in at Center also, then flip Bottegar with Feliciano because position flexibility. Problem solved.

The Bills don’t deserve this level of fan support
Rigotz replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the other way around. We have people on the message boards guaranteeing wins ahead of both the Dolphins game and Jaguars game ... and then acting like the team is a disgrace and not worth our money when that doesn't happen. I don't know where this fan attitude came from, but it's so embarrassing. The Bills are a good, young, playoff bound team. They deserve the benefit of the doubt and the same "wait and see" approach from fans that we expect from players. Enjoy the wins and try not to kill yourselves when they have a bad game.- 96 replies

Absolute loser mentality.

Trubisky playing time against the Jaguars

There ya go. -
The holds have been great. The punting has been below average. We lost the Steelers game because he took an hour to punt. I'm not ready to give him a "shout out" for doing 1 of his 2 responsibilities well.

The moment your start counting blowout wins before they happen is the moment you lose. We almost got caught with this mentality last week. You didn't learn your lesson? -
My buddy is a big Saints fan and he said the Saints have been trying to offload him for months. "He doesn't ever want to play football again" is the general feeling and Saints are trying to salvage what they can.

Chris Lindstrom, OG, Falcons, should be the target.

#14 overall pick who looks like the real deal and is under team control via 5th year option for the next 3 years including this one.... Why would they trade him for a 2nd round pick? They're going to draft a QB after this year and having a good O-Line in place is the #1 priority for a QB's development. They would never, ever, ever do this. -
Pats are 4-4 with a rookie QB and almost top 10 defense

I love Mac Jones. I think he's the perfect QB to take a team to 8-9 or 9-8 purgatory. He will never win you a Super Bowl, but he'll be good enough to make sure you don't have a good pick to get a new QB. Say it with me. I. Love. Mac. Jones. -
How about David Montgomery? 3rd round RB on third year of his rookie contract. Khalil Herbert has looked fantastic as a rookie since Montgomery got hurt. Bears can use all the help they can get and with Herbert looking so good, I wonder if they would be willing to trade Montgomery in exchange for a 2nd rounder and Singletary? That would be a nice haul and I think it would be worth it for both teams.

The Edmunds Report - Week 8, Fish v. Bills, 10/31/21
Rigotz replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s unfortunate that he’s in a contract year next year because he’s going to be paid a ton and frankly, doesn’t deserve it. I would take him for a “B average” salary like $8MM per for the next 10 years, but unfortunately, he’ll get way more from us or someone else. -
Current NFC Landscape brings back memories of 80's/90's dominance
Rigotz replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very strong attempt to troll. A-. I deducted a half point because you forgot that at the beginning of the season, everyone was saying the AFC is poised to be the new dominant division. This might come as a shocker, but there are many good teams in both the NFC and AFC and whichever teams go to the Super Bowl will be good teams. -
I think it's so important that we need a second thread about it when there's a 5 page thread about it immediately below this one.

So... we're saying that Knox is a bust now? Top 10 TE in yards per game, Top 10 in receiving yards, #1 in Receiving TD's, has shown great blocking skills... and he's a bust. Jesus.

We currently have ~$3M in cap space and would need more to sign Mercilus. So, we'd have to get rid of Addison or Hughes. Is Mercilus a big upgrade over Addison/Hughes? They've both been having a decent season... certainly frustrating at times, but I think it would be bad for the locker room to get rid of them, so I would pass.

When your have a Bye week very early in the season, that extra week of rest late in the season makes a big difference. It’s less about home games and more about that. Plus I’ll take a guaranteed 1st round win any day. That’s the goal and we took a tough loss today. Lets not minimize how important that seed is.

10/18/21 Gameday Bills @ Titans Postgame thread
Rigotz replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Franchise QB. 4-2 with a 2 game lead on the division. The rest of the division opponents are a joke. The rest of the schedule is a joke. The team is healthy. The coaches are making aggressive calls. There’s a lot to like. The two guys I’m annoyed by today are Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison. They won’t be here next year. You know who will be? Epenesa, Rousseau, and Boogie. All were inactive tonight. The future is bright and we’ll be fine. -
There’s nothing more annoying than a fan of ANY team celebrating a victory before a game is played. That’s also a guaranteed way to jinx your team. Either way, yikes.

Mike Williams is a free agent after this year - there's $20M Linval Joseph is a free agent after this year - there $5-10M Chris Harris is a free agent after this year - there's $5-10M These cap figures are deceptive because if a good player is rolling off of a contract, they're counted as zero. However, just to have the same team you had this year, you need to pay MORE to get these players back. The Bills don't have a lot of cap space because they've done a good job of extending guys and not letting them hit free agency.
