  1. True Dat ! That just goes to show one more bit of Rookieness in our HC !! Not to mention letting B. Dehaven go !!
  2. Yah but a lot of the O lines terrible play is due to the O line coach , it wasn't that way when Joe D was here ! And look what he has done in San diego , there O line is killer well at least better than what we got but it's the coaching !! Not the players , when the coach lets Urbik (a guy just signed to a multi year extension due to his play) sit the bench some one doesn't know what they are doing because Urbik was doing fine in Joe D's scheme !! But one of our most explosive players is null & void due to inexperience OC . You get quick passes in tho alignment the D will have to respect that speed & won't be able to blitz as much ...
  3. It's a pretty simple fix !! Get a OC that has some experience on how to use the talent he has available . Can you imagine this offense say with J. Gruden, Brian Schottenhiemer ,Frank Reich as the OC instead of Daddy wanta B Hackett ?? The guy just doesn't have the experience ! Then when you put Orton in as QB for God sake he has more time in shower shoes in a NFL offense than Hackett has in total time spent in the NFL ... Hell he didn't even play in the NFL so he doesn't even have that experience !! Below is Hacketts resume . WOO HOO !!! 2003 University of California, Davis (Assistant Linebackers Coach) 2003 Stanford University (Offensive Assistant) 2004 Stanford University (Coordinator's Assistant) 2005 Stanford University (Recruiting Coordinator) 2006 & 2007 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Offensive Quality Control) 2008 & 2009 Buffalo Bills (Offensive Quality Control) 2010 Syracuse University (Quarterbacks/Tight Ends) 2011 & 2012 Syracuse University (Offensive Coordinator) 2013 to Present Buffalo Bills (Offensive Coordinator)
  4. OK at the beginning of the year it was said that the strongest parts of the team were D line , RB's , WR's , CB's . Since then we have found out through their play the LB's aren't bad either . We were all worried about the D & what Schwartz would bring with the change in scheme , well so far we have end up in just about all defensive categories . Heck even the ST's are doing pretty good this year , although we have had to use starters from other areas on the team to make it so . I was listening to Thurman the other day on the John Murphy show & he had a great point . Which involves one of our strengths of the team but it involves not using the strength to it's full potential . What happened to the 4 WR sets ? We have the guys , could it be inexperience just doesn't know how to go about using these guys ? For a moment just imagine being a D coordinator & seeing this line up . (excuse me if the guys aren't in their true spot but hopefully you'll get my drift) M. Williams - M. Goodwin - Glenn- Richardson-Wood-Urbik-Henderson - R.Woods - Watkins or Hogan or Chandler Orton Spiller This would spread out & give CJ enough room to work plus give a D coordinator fits so why aren't we using ANY line up configurations like this ? Chan used them pretty well & we now have a lot stronger WR group. SO WHAT'S UP HACKETT ?? The Bills biggest draw back is the offense , if they would change 2 coaches we could be a super bowl team ! Get rid of Hackett & O line coach for some upgrades & we would be hitting on all cylinders .. If you get a chance listen to the Thurmon interview on the John Murphy show the other night & you will here his thoughts on how they are misusing CJ's talents ...
  5. Should have never been picked by the Bills !! Another Bills blunder in the draft ...
  6. Ya'll are on crack if you think EJ is the second best , that is the same as giving Fitz a huge contract after winning 5 games . I will hold my opinion until at least the mid way part of the season because if you can't tell by my opening statement i didn't believe that EJ should have been a first round pick in any way !! But i will say i still have hope that those hired by the Bills to know talent & build a winning team know more than I the arm chair GM !!
  7. Good article but what did you write after the Chargers game ?
  8. Jay Cutler - Bears Cameron Wake - Dolphins Antonio Gates - Chargers I'm just saying !! SUPER BOWL !!!
  9. If Marrone would have seen the forest for the trees he would have kept Joe D , B Dehaven , P Metzelars, & a couple of others from the Gailey regime because there were a lot of good things that Gailey had going on . While i'm at it I'll rehash something that has been written about a bit here . They should have kept Fitz seeing as they had a contract they had signed & had to pay him regardless if they kept him or released him as they did . I don't know if it's ego or what but when a new coach comes in i don't see why they can't look at what they got & use the old adage "IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT" We had 2 or more facets of the team when Marrone took over that were ranked top ten & you look at a guy that was your buddy & his unit was like 30th in the league , you bring him in to replace a top ten coach then you talk about "we will do what ever it takes to make the team better" Can you imagine Coaching staff of Marrone - HC - coaches kept & added to make new staff Gailey - OC - Joe D - O line coach - Metzelars - TE coach - T Wheatley - RB coach Pettine or Schwartz - DC - Pepper J - D line coach - D Henderson - DB coach B Dehaven - ST coach I know this is a pipe dream but the coaching staff would be a lot more play off ready if some coaches could get over their ego & not fix the things that weren't broke !!
  10. Murph needs to look at the red zone percentage I think i read where the Bills are 28th in the league in red zone percentage or was that 3rd downs can't remember exactly but either one is not good so he is managing the game & is not a elite QB talent . Wake up Murph ….
  11. http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/13307/quick-fix-bills-in-red-zone
  12. He's got a ways to go before i get on the wagon . He amy be up 2 games but i'm not like the Bills front office that gave Fitz his contract after just 5 games . It takes a lot more than 2 to jump on the wagon but i hope he does prove me & all the other bashers wrong !! Go Bills !!!
  13. But remember what Marrone said the beginning of last year ? Something to the effect that the O Lines doesn't need the same players all the time to have a cohesive group , or something along those lines . I can't remember the exact quote . When i heard him say that i thought this guy is bonkers the O line needs the same guys most all the time to know what each one is going to do & how they are going to do it , communication is key on the O line & if they don't play together much you can forget good protection for the QB !!
  14. If Ej can go back into his memory & play like this or if the O line can give him the time & he can perform like he did in this game we can win a lot of games with him at the helm . The only problem to this point i haven't seen this EJ play for the Bills but after seeing this i'm holding out hope that he shows up !! GO Bills !!!!
  15. That was pretty bad ass up until EJ crossed on the out side of the pile on . Could that be a omen ?? Let's hope not !!
  16. Sounds to me the conflict between Monos & Marrone could be about personnel . Seeing as Marrone wants to move Urbick , could have had something to do with moving Stevie, & more than likely had a bunch of input of the drafting of EJ (which looks to be shaky at best) Monos questions of his personnel choices could have more substance. So not only did he have a beef with Monos but because Monos was a Whaley hire he has a beef with both , & Brandon stepped in to quite down Homy Marrone (Syracuse alum) then all sides were against each other . Well thats a fine to do just before the season & great to know that the players heard all the bickering between them at practice ... Well at least they will have something in common with the Bills of the 90's "The Bickering Bills" I just hope they can get the rest of it right & Saint Marrone can gloat some more about him self I just hope it's better than .500 cause that really ain't much to brag about in the NFL !!
  17. You add all of this to what he did in his very first preseason to take the job away from the veteran QB they had (which wasn't that great) it tells the tape right from the get go on just what kind of QB Wilson was going to be . The same thing i think is happening this year in Oakland & possibly Jacksonville only time will tell but those 2 rookies are putting it out there for all to see & our second year guy that has two years in this offense can't score but 1 TD in the preseason . Red Flag ????
  18. If we look back on some NFL history what is one common mistake that is made when the "Experts" look at a in coming player & TRY to make a correct judgement on what kind of player they are going to be ? One of the biggest misconceptions is that a small guy isn't going to be good enough because of his size but if you look back at some players that were small in stature we can see that their size had nothing to do with their heart ... Zac Thomas - 5' 11" Sonny Jurgensen - 5' 11" London Fletcher - 5' 10" Doug Flutie - 5' 10" Kenneth Davis - 5' 10" Wes Welker - 5'9" Emmit Smith - 5' 9" Barry Sanders - 5' 9" What i'm getting at is i think the experts when it comes to making the biggest in figuring what a guy is going to be in the NFL is their height !! Here the biggest Bills mistake in recent history because of a players height & the EXPERTS opinion . http://insider.espn....und/3/year/2012 Pick # 6 & 12 And who ever did this should be ban from the Bills for ever !!
  19. Yah & seeing as it is a copy cat league & the Bills being in the same division as the Pats you would think that we would have learned something by now ! but i guess you have to pay attention to learn something ...
  20. I believe it's more Whaley than Marrone , just have & always will think it was a homer hire unless & i hope he does prove me terribly wrong in my judgement of him ... And to add i think the EJ pick was more Buddy & Marrone than Whaley . Just saying ...
  21. Why sign 2 other kickers after wasting a draft pick on 1 last year only to cut him ?????? Letting Cohen go HUH ??? Those things don't spell it's all about winning !! And the Graham pick should have never happened in the first place with the players that were there at our pick another head scratcher ??
  22. If nothing else bring him in & stash him on the practice squad , he definitely has more to offer than any of the QB's we had . But that would make to much sense at the most important position on a NFL team & our past we don't make those kind of good decisions ...
