Huge fumble Cams quietly one of the best in the game

Refs not having a great player safety night

Yea, but who knows who’s there at 20 if we don’t take Edmonds. Heck, it could’ve been tremaine. Hard to guess but they got their guy and I do trust mcd with linebackers

What would you give for a OBJ or AJ Green?

With this defense if we add 2-3 pass catchers and a couple lineman what really separates us from the upper tier? Just qb, right? And you’d hope that those parts and a guy in year 2 would step up ala Goff, wentz, mahomes.... if you believe in this qb, coach and gm, then next year absolutely should be the first of a 3-4 year run where we as fans should expect to compete for a division title and be a team that can win a playoff game if you dont buy any of those three guys being legit, well 2 years from now isn’t a thing anyway. Again not arguing green specifically but this is the “make big moves” section of our story, -

With a young qb they are officially entering their best window. Time to build FAST. Not arguing either move is thevright one but it’s time for us to be that team that people say “how do they keep adding pieces” like the rams or chiefs. Rookie qb contracts are the magic ticket. -

If you want a premiere wr your talking a first or a couple day 2 picks, roughly. A fun prospect but not really the reliable #1 acquisition the thread seems to be seeking to find -
Doesn’t that amount to “our OC doesn’t trust our qb so you can’t say the lack of attempts are a reflection on our qb?” Im not even knocking the guy, just saying you can’t get too high (or low) off the very limited amount he did... at their core I find your post defending allen more insulting to him than mine tempering expectations.

They lay a couple tough games a season. I’d rather now, get healthy and finish strong... though this certainly isn’t unwinnable. Score a road win on an off night would be great

Outside of Thomas, the saints group is pretty bad.

An interesting football 2018 thought.... if it’s incomplete isn’t it h2h defenseless receiver because the catch wasn’t completed? or does the bobble eliminate that? If so, how large a bobbles allowed?

It’s a big rivalry game- always see those played tough and some surprises.
-
Theyve used Bush, sproles etc... their rb2 is typically shifty and gets the ball in space. Like a punt return. For better or worse, but it hasn’t bit them tooooo badly yet. That last angle looked no catch... that said im not sure how it wasn’t PI but we’ve seen two flags on the saints. Not saying saints calls were bad, just seemed inconsistent
-
Looked like a catch to me. might be hard to overturn though

Even if you called him 11-14 on the day... I’ll say I had similar sentiments after tyrods big day against miami(?) where he was like 11-12 with a couple long balls. its simply not enough passing success to be an ok normal and it’s a small enough sample that it can’t be extrapolated to anything meaningful. he didn’t lose the game with his passing and found a way to win it with legs, defense, and playing bortles. You take it happily from a rookie but it can’t be the regular or something celebrated toooo much is all
-
I didn’t argue he was inaccurate but that he completed 4 passes in 45 minutes of game clock in a pass happy Nfl. Thats a concern. Any which way it gets dressed up. He overcame it but it’s a problem that had to be overcome. Coupled with only 8 catches and one being a 75 yarder... unless you think that’ll be a regular ratio, or somehow representative of normal play it’s pretty tough to lean on a YPC stat like that.
-
Unfortunately it’s just 8 completions. That’s not near enough of a sample to throw around YPC. He did some things very well, and had a solid Q1 passing.... but had to cover for the fact that he only completed 4 passes after the first quarter. Running is a great perk that helped makeup for the lack of passing success most of the game. Hopefully progress shows those rushing attempts turning into catches for someone as weeks go by...

I may have been wrong about McCaffrey

I’ll agree that he’s much better than I expected. -
He certainly could someday become a player - but a month on the practice squad didn’t make him a different guy than he has been the previous 4.5 years. Your best shot is to ease him in with packages and limited pressure as a 4-5 guy next year and hope he grows into a 2-3 the year after. We still need to add two guys around zay that should be considered starting caliber immediately. Foster can’t be 1 ACL injury to a starter at camp away from being an every down player all season.

Or guaranteed dollars. Honestly, he’s a fine enough pickup in a risk/reward sense at this point... just a matter of how much you are willing to stretch morally. But the short of it is: why does quiet protest of law enforcement move the needle so much more drastically than spousal abuse (etc) with regards to fan dollars?

Josh Allen...40 time versus game speed
NoSaint replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea but Jackson was a clear cut 5. He wasn’t neck and neck with 3 other guys. he also opted not to run - which is very different than running less than his best on purpose. if allen decided to run less than his best because Jackson’s mom had him sit out - it’s be a bit concerning with regard to his judgement
