  1. The part that I think should logically stand out but may be lost on you because you are really dug into your argument... in the bills bama matchup- which team is the overwhelming favorite and which are the scrubs just trying to hang? I think its its easy to think that on any given day a bama team could probably hang for quite awhile with a little luck. A 30 point spread is pretty huge still. I don’t think anyone here is arguing that Bama is a better team but that they might be able to win a few matchups and with some good bounces or blown coverages keep it within 4 touchdowns
  2. Again, Oliver, if nursing a knee injury- should know better. I’m not losing my mind over it or anything but it’s another red flag that you have to research regarding maturity and common sense.
  3. I certainly agree that you have a relevant concern. Typically for a rule to be productive it needs to have a purpose. I’d suspect that if totally honest there’s some of that which would never be spoken aloud, but also likely some stuff they could lean on to justify it without admitting to being meatheads that have personal interests that you outline. that said Oliver had an absolute meltdown over very little. At some level a 20 year old shouldn’t need to be physically restrained in this situation.
  4. I don’t see the problem in saying both handled it poorly.
  5. Who is it that has this religious bias against him? The closest I’ve seen is the occasional wonder out loud if our coach might’ve let personally liking him effect his professional evaluation. Otherwise I’d say he gets about 12 posts/article saying he’s the best human ever for each item assailing his character. he does get some jokes for being historically awful on the stat line. Not unusual though. He was our “butt fumble” guy
  6. Id venture the thought is they don’t feel the need to get oversized jackets for players not in pads and those guys likely have plenty of other options applewhite probably shouldn’t have rolled up and pulled it off him without saying anything but given how it went down I’m guessing both sides were a bit frustrated with other things bubbling under the surface
  7. Id say it’s 2 parts being a historically bad qb, 1 part coaching insistence to play him and probably 2 parts his fans being really over the top pushy about how great he is despite all evidence to the contrary.
  8. Im pretty sure that dude tore his ACL and recovered over a bye week and came back to rush for 1000 yards in the back half of the season with a fan from section 103 row 7 seat 12 at qb hes a freak show even among the games all time elite. 3 prime years is a bold claim
  9. Why do you so happily settle for situations like rookie-zay-Thompson as our top 3 WRs? im fine with Thompson as depth and maybe he surprises but why in the world would you make yourself count on that happening?
  10. Did you feel similar emotions about kerley getting cut? Or what is it about NP2 that gets this kind of fawning?
  11. How long were we supposed to not play him? Would year 3 have been ok?
  12. Once you are in that .500 tier of quality.... it’s basically dumb luck on 7 vs 9 wins or 6th seed vs 10th. A couple bounces or luck with health or a bengals td throw against the ravens
  13. Therein is the rub— we all carry stuff but we have no idea what his stuff is. dude was 230 pounds of chemical reactions effected by infinite factors. Nothing going on excuses assualting someone else but you look at this guys story and wonder what was really going on in there.
  14. If he means the nice guy without an arm couldn’t make all the throws - then it was relatively predictable even if some of the details were uniquely interesting
  15. Im not even a huge Thompson fan but at least there’s some sense of awareness shining through. Comparatively, 9 weeks ago we cut a vet starting WR the day after guaranteeing his salary to sign a DT that wouldn’t play. Sooooooo seems there’s a chance that a light came on and maybe we actually get a somewhat reasonable strategy from here. It was worrisome for awhile there.
  16. Its not rocket science. We started a qb with like 5 minutes of practice time. I believe it means they realize they’ve messed up the position and have come around to the “let’s at least throw things against the wall til SOMETHING sticks” approach
  17. Are the bills that thin on decent human beings? Peterman seems fine enough, but what about his personality is exceptional enough to warrant all the gushing. Did I miss something?
  18. Would you say it’s logical to build the defense, select a qb and then wait a year to surround him with talent?
  19. Given our cap space I’d consider it unlikely. We will be signing some volume.
  20. You say you are aware it’s only been one week... but are you?
  21. Well, when we cut a guy creating large dead money - and replace him with a high priced guy that’s debatably better.... we’ve created a situation where there’s not as much money to spend on offense. Would you rather dareus and a high end offensive lineman or wr, OR just star?
  22. No I meant last year, as the discussion was San Diego. When we passed on Watson and mahomes to pair with Tyrod. This has definitely been a two year problem.
  23. Well, to go into the season with a questionable vet that you aren’t committed to and a 5th round rookie after passing on two premier prospects is kind of asking for a bad situation
  24. Including both waives and cuts definitely makes it look like he bounced more.
