New Orleans Saints in Court
NoSaint replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the last I read was that this amounted to bensel advises them to be direct, own the issue and include authorities. not wanting emails released is pretty basic and even if there was nothing damning in them, could be plenty of off color comments or distractions or... it’s not crazy to have a baseline of filing to keep communications private as a rule of thumb. if it’s how to cover up obviously the whole thing changes to be fair, not wanting to release emails between the organizations is not the same as covering up for the church. it could be but as is... not yet. heres their statement: While there is current litigation relative to the New Orleans Archdiocese and clergy sex abuse, our comments are limited only to the scope of our involvement. The New Orleans Saints organization has always had a very strong relationship with the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese reached out to a number of community and civic minded leaders seeking counsel on handling the pending media attention that would come with the release of the clergy names in November of 2018. Greg Bensel, Senior Vice President of Communications for the New Orleans Saints, was contacted and offered input on how to work with the media. The advice was simple and never wavering. Be direct, open and fully transparent, while making sure that all law enforcement agencies were alerted. The New Orleans Saints, Greg Bensel and Mrs. Gayle Benson were and remain offended, disappointed and repulsed by the actions of certain past clergy. We remain steadfast in support of the victims who have suffered and pray for their continued healing. "Further, the Saints have no interest in concealing information from the press or public. At the current discovery stage in the case of Doe v. Archdiocese, the Saints, through their counsel, have merely requested the court to apply the normal rules of civil discovery to the documents that the Saints produced and delivered to Mr. Doe's counsel. Until the documents are admitted into evidence at a public trial or hearing in the context of relevant testimony by persons having knowledge of the documents and the events to which they pertain, the use of the documents should be limited to the parties to the case and their attorneys. If admitted into evidence of the case, the documents and the testimony pertaining to them will become part of the public record of the trial of the case." -
Pro Bowl Player Poll--Worst City to Travel To
NoSaint replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t doubt on a poll of folks that have lived in each that your opinion would be popular. if I were a 22 year old from Alabama I’d suspect I’d be pretty indifferent to cincy as a reputation for a city to visit while Buffalo is “practically Canada” and has darn near the snow of the next two cities combined so it’s probably the one I’d be more likely to blurt out on the spot without much knowledge of either. -
because guys like that are complete wildcards not plans you bank on. You pretend he isn’t there and if you suddenly have an extra explosive guy because he pans out- all the better

You should just accept you have different priorities than many if you think Miami, Boston, DC, NYC, Philly, offer similar quality of amenities to Buffalo. Buffalo is great for certain lifestyles but Is going to consistently be the odd man out in lists like that. -

I’m sure we will see plenty talk about the random museums, hidden gem restaurants out in the burbs and hunting.... but for a 22 year old staying at the ritz in New Orleans grabbing beignets and hearing a street musician between meetings and then coming back to party it up at some offseason sporting event... the comparison isn’t going to look good for Buffalo. And that doesn’t have to be an insult. -
Target WR Breshad Perriman FA Tampa Bay
NoSaint replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I almost read that as fullbacks and had flashbacks to the Houston heave. That said, I think you aim for two guys- the best you can get in free agency, and the best by end of day 2 of the draft. If he’s the best of free agency maybe a little more pressure on the draft. -

Jeeze- I just caught back up on that and forgot he never even signed. They verbally agreed and then backed out. by game tape do you mean highlights? Cause everyone has great hands in highlights. -
he also looked softer last night though. At least from my seats. Maybe not fat but not near as cut.
-
I thought he was crazy not taking a year off but it seems to be working for him I guess

If they wanted him they wouldn’t have done him a solid. if they get a guy like this you still must add an elite prospect. He’s proven nothing. Foster has had a better career for a reference point of what we’d be dealing with. he’s a flyer not a guy you pass on a draft prospect because of. -
they said it was docs orders, 100% and not arguing with them if so, I get it. Coach can’t overrule the docs call just cause the players making shots..

The 3-4 minute bursts sucked for both his and the teams rhythm. Should’ve played him off the bench instead of chopping up the first lines chemistry if counting minutes that close.

Ill try another shot at push back on the name factor... if debating a guy like Big Ben, how often do you hear reference to Peyton regarding him being worthy or his accomplishments? I think we all agree the dude isn’t in the all time great list with manning and Brady Or even the Rodgers and Brees tier.... but he’s clearly in the next group with Ben, rivers, etc... how many get in from the era? His rings help a lot but he like 6th(?) on the list depending on where you draw the lines on the era/generation. that’s one of the most important factors- who he slots up against each year. Would be the only first ballot guy and no noteworthy list to clear works in his favor, while if Brees brady and Ben all leave the same year it definitely hurts Ben. If manning does go year 1 he might wait a minute though.

Facial Recognition By 600 Law Enforcement Agencies

part of the problem is tech is changing faster than our govt can really keep up- both due to slow processing times of laws and poor comprehension of technology by our politicians. a full scale overhaul of the institutions regulating would be needed before you could even begin to discuss privacy -
if he wasn’t compared to Peyton he might actually be viewed more favorably.

I don’t hate Sherman the guy, but I would enjoy seeing Sherman the character get torched. By pretty much anyone but tyreek. -

Andre Roberts going to Pro Bowl as KR

I have to think he’s getting at that (less so Watson) McGee clements McKelvin stretch. Though a few receivers were in there too. In theory, having a back or WR makes a lot of sense. We’ve just too often had 1 dimensional guys like Roberts or even Easley. Our WR depth hasn’t been good enough to burn roster spots.
