  1. It seems they believe that lineman gets them better impact and their job is to win the game not make shady proud of himself.
  2. im not sure he’s much better off with his arm but he’s always been more touch than hear and with Mike Thomas, kamara and cook he’s got one of the better short space trios in the league
  3. But if he’s coming to your club to party - game on
  4. The tongue screams stones but...
  5. well, if flacco missed 5 weeks and tyrod completed 1 pass for 18 yards in that stretch youd naturally question how much his staff really loved his passing ability
  6. it’s the thinking they are out to get Buffalo part that I was pointing out. The reporter almost certainly didn’t care about who the team was and any young top pick that was traded would see a similar question. They aren’t out to get you/us
  7. It’s definitely become a maybe. I’d be surprised but no longer SHOCKED by it.
  8. I almost feel like the saints leadership would be uncomfortable putting that storyline together (both for their own sake and Drew’s)
  9. I may regret this later but I’m 100% in on the dolphins trading up for tua. Would be about the riskiest move possible for them.
  10. it’s not even great passing. even with the benefit of misdirection he’s a 50% guy. And if you look at the playoff throw the only reason it wasn’t 7 was the throw being way off. Dude got wide open and ended up having to wait for the ball (and defender) to get to him.
  11. Teddy is you 9-7 bridge, taysoms your 2-14 but sell season tickets guy i think they genuinely love having taysom as a contributor but would be SHOCKED if anyone thinks he’s the answer The only explanation if it goes this way is a full tank but keeping fan enthusiasm higher than some other third tier free agent that would be too obvious a tank I believe Brees will come back to beat out Brady in the record books though.
  12. it’s interesting as looking at OBJ, Sammy probably showed much more professionally. Even if good reputation Brandon cooks has been a handful since coming into the league. Probably about as talented a class as there could be but is mike Evans the good guy of the group? In the spectrum of personalities Sammy wasn’t half bad.
  13. we absolutely do need to spend just not sure if the highest paid guard/center combo with him and Morse is the premium ROI for the dollars. I like a good interior line but seems we have options to save here and spend elsewhere
  14. Meh. I always thought he would be as good or better than the last LB to make the roster or the pick received. Didn’t save money. id have been fine with him as depth and in “and short” packages. that said, not losing sleep over that one
  15. oh I’m not saying he’s anything to brag about but simply the dumpster fire wasn’t burning quite as bright as many portray. Plenty of issues with the guy still.
  16. He seems like a buffoon but the stuff I made fun of last offseason generally worked better than I expected. i still think it’s the wrong move, but I pause slightly before totally mocking it and will simply remain skeptical
  17. if you reset and start taysom you are selling tickets while tanking. I can buy a more extended package for him but even as number 2 you end up having to cut his special teams and power running and he becomes a limited receiver with great athleticism that you can’t make full use of. if he’s just a utility player he’s at his most dangerous. Great for moving the chains with potential of explosive plays. As soon as he’s an every down qb (or could be one at a moments notice) he loses his use of what makes him special. would be interesting- as much as the athleticism is tough to duplicate, the mental side is fascinating and I think very rare. feels like I’m beating him up but amazing he sits in a qb room, special teams meetings, and the wr room. Not to mention running back packages. It’s amazing that he has the time in a week to keep up yet alone be impactful. just don’t think he has the arm talent to be every down
  18. he is 7 of 15 in his career so far. So I see why you think that. he’s a fun piece and one of the more interesting free agent stories out there but he’s running a very limited route tree, and not a reliable passer. He’s a tank in short yardage. I’d be down to add him as a gadget but I can’t imagine anyone thinks he’s a true qb.
  19. still comes out ahead in that equation, honestly
  20. because you obviously don’t say “yea I took a violation in order to make sure the opponent hit a symbolic threshold.” it’s disrespectful to your own team but more importantly tarnishes the actual gesture. You just let it go unsaid.
  21. I try to buy it but why didn’t he get more reps? Especially with drew out?
  22. by good I meant he’s an above average player but not a star (yet). I think more touches, and as you mentioned cleaning up a few pieces of his game, and he could be great. I may be skewing impact of day 2 RBs a bit high as a benchmark (I think RBs in day two are tremendous value for most teams)because truly I didn’t mean it a knock to say he was good and they hit on the pick (on the 50-50 he was the winner and ford the wait and see)
