For much of the league, a wildcard birth isn’t near the accomplishment this board makes it out to be. it’s still a good season, and not trashing the team but it’s not a major feat either.

I think it’s easy to argue a player could improve and see less production. the Op didn’t specifically say stats or quality of play. The two items don’t always go hand in hand.

I’ll say brown on offense. not because of statistics or less targets- just doesn’t have that highly consistent past before last year. He didn’t string together constant months on end yet alone seasons. not using it as a knock but if forced to choose and guy for a guy that might go back to their average- he was a bit above that mark last year. Dawkins should be motivated but might be a guy that suffers being out of the building.

I know a lot of folks hate the late game INTs from him (for good reason) but I did appreciate him taking shots he normally wouldn’t instead of playing it safe on final drives. Unfortunately when windows get tighter and you can’t wait for another drive, he just didn’t have the god given arm talent.

heck, I’m good with going to the AFCCG... but they need to win the division and win in the playoffs this year, realistically. once on those big stages there’s some luck but over 16 they need to win the division regardless and should win a home playoff game from there.

To be fair, I’d think your friend made a dumb choice too. Doesn’t make him a terrible person and I haven’t shredded his character.... but not having an open beer can on you while driving is a pretty low threshold of decision making prowess. short of “the cops made the whole thing up” we are just debating how big the lapse in judgement was, not whether one was made.
