  1. Saquon may be another off the table. we trade 22 for Hopkins. houston either picks any RB they want, or even trade back. Or deals that pick. Cards would add more assets than a bad contract RB to get 22, for instance. you do see outside of veeeery few limitations 22 is incredibly valuable in targeting a RB?
  2. With 22 they could’ve gotten literally any they wanted outside of zeke
  3. He’s fine enough. People won’t like spending $6m on him but truth is $6m isn’t a ton.
  4. he opted out of a bigger contract than shaq got didn’t he?
  5. He’s had a lot of solid seasons. Always been a fan. Admittedly was my draft crush the year he came out. Physical freak, and former Hs wrestling champion so hard working, gets leverage etc... just checks so many boxes.
  6. workouts, travel to facilities etc... medical checks after terms reached?
  7. flip side- frank gore was our lead back for stretches and that was a real concern.
  8. All I was doing was pointing out how little impact talking to Croom had on a decision like targeting a top 10 guy in the league at his position. I felt pretty calm in that.
  9. crooms extension means near nothing for his roster status long term it’s like saying we’d pass cause we worked out a UDFA draft prospect
  10. Yea there is ugly design and poor quality design. I just don’t see a rams tie to it. Aesthetically it’s pretty bland but in actual design work it doesn’t show the brand in the slightest
  11. 11 qbs threw over 4000 yards, so I hope he gets close and where we are in the build that’s the type of season to expect.
  12. WR is a little discomfort in there but my own worry fixes nothing
  13. I mean he was a day 2 pick. to play 11 years as a starter and notch a pro bowl lends itself to being average to a little above. But as a pick in the 30s that’s a pretty solid career
  14. More than anything probably threw a few bucks to ensure the only way he takes an interview is for full HC positions
  15. Yea but that 4th year cost shoots way up usually. you’ll save a little bit by moving risk from player to team but not anything substantial unless the guy is broke and high risk.
  16. a move like this is perfect for where we are in the build. You are talking like we are a vet team. We are in a window where we can have 3-4 of these guys and then josh/tres contracts slowly replace their hits as they come off the roster
  17. Its 2 year 27m and no guaranteed- pricy but compared to open market... at least you can cut and run if he doesn’t bounce back. That’s the value of the pick vs a big signing bonus
  18. With brown and beasley and... adding a highly explosive guy to the group isn’t bad even if slightly inconsistent. Having him be a good 1, making brown an excellent 2 and beasley as a solid 3 gives a lot of room week to week
  19. odds are he just wasn’t an nfl qb, either way. I’m not sure it matters which route would’ve created the best qb if the end result is either the 150th or 160th best qb out there, right? (ignoring actual numbers and getting the concept)
  20. id have to ask why mariota at the top of the list??? bridgewaters fixing to get a 2 year 40m type of deal not a serious qb pay day
  21. probably one of the better FA/trade markets out there this year. I think Teddy B is a good option as a bridge. And think teddy would see the appeal.
  22. the pats simply trade a lot. Some up, some down. Up for Hightower, up for chandler jones, up for gronk even the trick is to find guys and get them where you can. They are the epitome of circling a name, figuring where he is on other boards and going up or down to get him instead of just heaving up a ton of shots
  23. I suspect BB will have a hard cutoff and move on from him instead of passing on other options hoping he returns
  24. Setting an expectation for success isn’t the same as saying what you expect the outcome to be. an important distinction. in year 4 of a rebuild and more particularly year 3 with a top qb pick - if you aren’t at least a contender either the qb, GM or HC should be feeling serious heat (obviously outside of special circumstances like catastrophic injuries hitting). This should be just about the easiest year of all of their careers and if they aren’t considered a top team in the conference something went wrong with talent, coaching or qb play.
