Don’t care. like not even a little bit. Good offenses still do it on the regular. we will have a better blocker in for the runs and can stay in line for protection on a pass. I’d rather Telegraph that I’m about to block you really well than play the lee Smith game and give up blocking for the optics of possibly having a bad pass catcher option.

It doesn’t matter much but I’ll keep saying playing our 6th lineman on those plays is better

if Foster blows a knee in warmups it’s nice to have uniforms prepped for everyone still. duke could be playing but I do suspect they prep more than just 45 lockers that morning

Smoke vs Hopkins stats this year
NoSaint replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, his laying the stats side by side with that added commentary I think warrants push back that Hopkins is indeed a better player. Browns good, Hopkins is great. and if you find his post interesting, more power to you. I don’t think it was particularly productive. -

Even if true- it’s incredibly uninteresting to just randomly throw up some poorly contextualized stats without implying any opinions from them. whether he’s saying browns better than given credit for or Hopkins isn’t as good - he’s implying SOMETHING by putting the two side by side, otherwise he could be posting the return on his 401k and what colors he sees in the sky when he looks out his window to the same effect. and given the context of those two WRs careers, theres unfortunately a gap that favors the guy that he’s trying to say there isn’t a large gap in favor of. -
Smoke vs Hopkins stats this year

but by narrowing it so much and having it be a best in career compared below average- to isolate them makes little sense or point is my point. Hopkins is a much better player, I even if the 2019 stat line is relatively close. -

comparing browns best year to Hopkins 5th(?) best? And Hopkins is still ahead? yea, I’d say Hopkins would be proven the much better player at that point. Though browns been a great contributor on a reasonable contract. -
Concerned about Watt's brace

Because a different player on a different team did something in a different season you are worried? and trying to punch out the ball is good defense. -
meh. Hopkins would be blanket doubled if not covered by tre and tre should shut down stills 1-1 pretty reliably opposite that. If they know where to constantly shade safeties (to Johnson) it may make it a bit easier on the back end organization. it’ll be fine either way, despite dramatic gut reactions

Doesn't look like Levi is gonna play
NoSaint replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That it’s the playoffs might mean they all actually have something to play for. hes followed quite a few guys through his career, and this year too. he didn’t have him every snap last year but if i recall tre even mocked that the Texans started hiding him in the backfield for some plays to get him out of tres shadow -
The Invisible Third of the Game: Special Teams
NoSaint replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Condescending and barely meaningful. Well played. yea, it wasn’t a particularly great play. And you’d hope that most gunners would be able to make it - if not by athleticism then by better discipline. Sure they have decided to give him the job but I’m not sure that cements him as the best on the entire 53 or that any substantial margin exists to the next option. oh, and ignoring foster himself, special teams is far from a third of the game -
I’ll cheer for him to stay solid, but not hold my breathe either dont Particularly like the guy but wouldn’t wish mental illness on anyone.

I mean, you’ve watched a bills game right? Where do you think brown and beasley and gore and most of our OL and Hughes and Starr and Hyde and zo and poyer and.... all come from? Players move around a lot. I mean, if you tack 2 years on his age hed be in those top ten oldest players lists that are reserved for qbs kickers and long snappers. more power to him but he’s legit very old for a 2 year deal.

Nsekhe, Shaq and Roberts all Practicing today.

you could make a similar statement about pretty much any player. -
watsons got like 8.5% higher completion percentage, over a yard per attempt better, a full point better in TD percentage, 45 more 1st downs on just 30 more throws. Passer rating is 14 points higher (11th vs 24th ranked) and QBR is 23 points higher (6th vs 25th). Watson threw 3 more picks though. Allen makes up with a few more fumbles. Allen’s got a little more volume rushing but they are relatively similar there per carry. objectively, I’m not sure you are being objective. We’d all trade for the other guys stat line. That said, Allen’s a little younger, a bit more of a project, and shows promise.

[Incomplete Title] PFF’s all-pro team has ...
NoSaint replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ultimately no stat or ranking systems going to be perfect. Cold data doesn’t account for any of the factors you point at and human adjustments come with both bias and errors. Out of curiosity, do we know where he landed in their rankings? is the argument 6 vs 3 or is it 14 vs 3? -

a good team can have a lot of good players without having the #1 at a position. Likewise a bad team can have the #1 at a position. tre is really the only one with a strong case, no? -
Is the NFL really a passing league?
NoSaint replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes - to beat multiple top teams consecutively you tend to have to be an all around good team, and top of the list is still being able to toss the ball
