  1. Yes and no. The game itself was easy enough to get over. The Bills had no chance. But in the aftermath, the game exposed several weaknesses on the team that will need to be addressed to get over the hump. And when you look at the roster, cap, recent top draft picks, impending contracts for star players, etc. - it's hard to see how the team is going to improve next year.
  2. That's great news from a medical standpoint. Torn knee cartilage doesn't heal well, if at all. I was afraid he would have a bad wheel from now on, but with a broken bone he will be back to 100%.
  3. It was a comprehensive beat-down in all phases of the game, really. Hard to find an area where KC was not clearly better - Pass blocking, run blocking, QB pressure, linebackers, secondary, receivers, running game, kickoffs, coaching, scheme... While painful to watch, at least there is no second-guessing this morning. The Bills were simply not good enough position by position, their schemes were timid, and they played with zero confidence. I think they lose that game 10 out of 10 times. Hopefully the off-season makes the Bills better and KC worse.
  4. I hate it. It has always made me think of the "Trenchcoat Mafia". That being the gang of misfits at Columbine High School in Colorado, two of whom decided to gun down their classmates, emboldening many imitators and kicking off a disgusting trend of school shootings across the US. To me, adding 'mafia' to your club name is all about trying to look tough when you're really just a tool. It's the epitomy of douchism.
  5. This is easily the most exciting matchup of any of them, with the possible exception of the Miami game, and that's only becasue of the rivalry at the time. It's not going to be 51-3, I can say that with confidence.
  6. The NFLPA really frowns on players taking less than market value because, in theory, it can depress other players' salaries moving forward. So even if he wanted to do it, he will be pressured into taking something within maybe 5-10% of Mahomes. It also makes sense for a professional football player to get as much money as quickly as possible in case of career ending injury. So, Josh will get an enormous contract, but once he has a couple of years to fill his mattress with money, he seems like the kind of guy who would restructure to help the team.
  7. Here's hoping it's for Disney World.
  8. It can be said that while not all Trump supporters are white supremecist incel morons, all white supremecist incel morons are Trump supporters. And when you lie with lice, you get lousy. I hope the more rational Trump voters take a long, hard look at who they are now in league with.
  9. Hats off to Bill, but he and a lot of now-ex-Trumpers have a lot of reflecting to do. It took a violent insurrection for them to see what was so obvious for so long - that Trump is a lunatic. I hope they exercise better judgment next time.
  10. Is this a Colts fan forum now?
  11. It's Mahomes' improvisation and quick thinking ability that set him apart in my opinion. It is getting harder to say he has better accuracy than JA, but at the moment I would give him a slight edge there because he has been doing it longer.
  12. All in except for Chan Gailey, apparently.
  13. The Bills stared the season as a playoff bubble team with a lot of doubts about their young QB making enough progress to get them over the hump. They ended the year as the most dominant team in the NFL, with Allen as a legit MVP candidate. Week 17 was a nice exclamation point; the 10-win Fins were in a must-win sutuation, and the Bills destroyed them with a lot of starters on the bench. Allen probably won't win MVP (too many turnovers, and just look at Rodgers' numbers), but McDermott should take COY.
  14. Someone please construct an actual Baton of Arrogance.
  15. It's likely Stills has had other offers, and he was just waiting for a top team in need of WR depth for the playoff push. He's a free agent with a respectable resume, and that means he can hold out for a good situation. I think it says a lot that/if? he decided to come to Buffalo.
  16. This one is not meaningless enough to sit the starters unless they are banged up. I can't believe Pittsburgh is supposedly doing it with home field for round 2 on the line. The Bills are just going to have to jump out to a 50 point lead in the first half so they can sit everyone for the remainder.
  17. Technically, there is no salary cap on coaches. So they could simply offer him HC money to stay. Trouble is, front offices won't pay coordinators HC money because it would set a bad precedent. I believe this kind of thing would be frowned on by the league's owners. You would think he would be motivated to stick around because it's his home town, he has been very successful here, and it's become an enviable organization to work for. I'm sure he makes a comfortable enough salary, too. Being a head coach isn't for everyone - maybe he understands the grass isn't always greener and just stays put.
  18. O-line for me. Allen got hit Once. He had all day, all night.
  19. If I'm not mistaken, it looks like Moss is now the feature back? He was the guy all game long, and now he's sitting in garbage time.
  20. You would also have to factor competition into that kind of argument. An SEC QB has a lot of weapons to throw to, but they also have to play against blue chip defensemen. Like LSU cornerbacks, for example. I think it all comes out in the wash.
  21. Not to mention the Bills would be playing with something to prove. The Titans handed them their biggest beat-down of the season, and you can bet they will be fired up to even the score. Also, those banged up Bills held Derrick Henry to 57 on 19 carries. I doubt that happens again, but it's worth noting.
