  1. Stefon Diggs and Matt Haack had the Bills' two best tackles of the game.
  2. I don't think so. Bass is pretty good at dropping balls inside the 5 - I remember the Bills doing it a lot this season. He wasn't holding anything back on that kick, he gave 'er the boot. On further review, I can understand why they decided to do it. It's a certain outcome that (should have been) very manageable for the defense. The finesse kicks can go horribly wrong once in a while.
  3. Chiefs offense was on fire all night, and the Bills had no answer on defense. Bills' special teams coverage is excellent, and they have been doing the kick to the goalline thing with good results all season. I have no idea in the world why they instead chose to leave it up to the D to seal the win last night. They completed the debacle by calling the worst possible defensive plan for the final two plays. Absolutely putrid coaching decisions. I feel so bad for the players. It's a shame, because the Bills' coaching staff is generally excellent and has built a winning culture and a fantastic team. But they stink at the critical strategy calls.
  4. The kick plus the next two plays was the most disgusted I have ever been while watching a football game. They just laid down and gave the Chiefs a FG.
  5. With no Tre White on the field, I don't think you can risk Micah's Hyde.
  6. Levi Wallace was burnt to a crisp on that play! He should give Hyde his game check.
  7. Best defense in the league and a flaming hot offense. Realistic? Sure! Guaranteed? Never. There are a lot of great teams in the mix. KC, TB, GB, TN, LA, even Cincy are all capable of beating anyone at any time. So are the Bills - you just have to play the games.
  8. I think as Bills fans, we may tend to overhype the greatness of Saturday's performance. I hardly think it was the greatest offensive performance in NFL history. Heck, Mahomes had an arguably better game the very next night. And between the 98 Vikings, 99 Rams, other legendary offenses I forgot about, and 20 years of Patriots domination, you can't tell me the Bill's win vs. the Pats was truly the greatest game ever simply because there were no punts, FGs, or TOs.
  9. Anyone here ever have a bone bruise? They can be debilitating. This is a really ignorant thread.
  10. I will always hold Fitz as one of my all time favorite players, but between the hip surgery, 17 YEARS in the league, and a not-great arm to begin with, I think his playing days are likely done. He has earned over $80 million in his career. I'm guessing he is ready to call it a day, and something tells me he will not be looking for a coaching or broadcasting gig. He's a guy that knows there's more to life than football. Awesome to see him shirtless in the stands, and it takes a lot of class for him to deal with all the fans and their photo ops. Amazing guy, I would love to see him retire a Bill, but I'm not sure there's anything left in the tank.
  11. I think the lack of Tre White will be much more visible against the Chiefs than against any other team the Bills have faced since he went down. Wallace is going to get abused. Hyde and Poyer are playing their best ball ever, which helps, but sooner or later... Bills pass rush has become much stronger in recent weeks, but KC's O-line is in much better shape than they were in the playoffs last year. No way the Bills are getting the kind of pressure that TB served up in the SB. Both teams will need to extend drives as long as possible. Time of Possession will be critical in this game. I also think it will take some luck - turnovers, penalties, etc. Definitely nervous about this one!
  12. Going to be tough to defend the KC offense without Tre White, but it should be a fun game either way.
  13. No, McDermott just has a way better team on the field.
  14. I'm just grateful that 2 of the other 3 teams in the division are potentially facing years of struggle while the Bills are still within a window of success. I'll take any help we can get!
  15. Another nice example to go with the Cordy Glenn fleecing. I'll give honorable mention to the Mario Addison acquisition. Not a world-beater, but consistently better than a lot of people want to acknowledge, a stable vet presence and consummate professional, and he just had a very solid season. As the signing/player has been smack-talked a fair amount by the fans, I guess you could call it an underrated move.
  16. Did you mean Beef Tips on Weck? Mmmmmmm, beef tips on weck...
  17. Kind of a slap in the face to cut him on the eve of playing his former team, but I guess that's business. In any case, why not bring him in for depth now, then see what happens in training camp. Maybe he plays at his best with the group/scheme in Buffalo. He could end up being a solid rotation guy who comes back for less money. On that note, I have no idea what his contract looks like and what that would mean for the Bills if they brought him in.
  18. Yes, they should wait until the season is over to select the players, but I don't think it should matter if their teams make the playoffs or not. One would expect, though, that if the voting took place after the season that voters would factor team success into their thinking, especially for QBs. I think you would have a lot of worthy players getting passed up because they are on a bad team. They should also change the game itself to flag football or some other alternative format - just do something entertaining where there's little risk of injury. It's ridiculous to have a full contact game where everyone is desperately trying to avoid getting hurt. So many of the top players find any excuse not to go because of it.
  19. Once you get below about 60, it's pretty much a garbage game. It's not really worth comparing a 17 to a 34 or whatever. It's not like the guy who had the 34 game was twice as good as the guy who had the 17.
  20. Ha ha, funny post! Believe me, many of us have been there! The Pats were one of the worst franchises in football for decades. The Bills used to smack Steve Grogan and company around all the time. It feels like old times to me!
  21. That's crazy when you think that Marino maybe ran for 2 of those! I hated that guy, but man he could throw.
  22. Hopefully it was not a major tear and he can recover fully. It seems like players can recover from partial Achilles tears these days, and hope to get back to where they were prior. Wishing Ike a speedy and complete recovery!
  23. This will forever be known as the "You, You, You Game".
