I live in New England. It feels great. Unfortunately, almost nobody is at work this week, so I have no noses in which to rub this sweet victory, but I can wait.

It was fun watching Belichick's reaction to that play. It's like he had no idea such a thing was even possible within our physical universe.

He ran hard, but I sure wish the O line could block better for him. He can't carry five defenders forward for every yard on every carry. An actual hole would be nice, imagine what he could do with one of those.

Watching it a few times, I think Diggs says, "Shut the F up", but McKenzie runs in and says something else, and their words merge together to sound like... The other thing everyone heard.

12/26/21 Week 16 Gameday Bills @ Patriots* Pregame Thread

A most interesting active roster today. A lot of opportunities for guys to step up; I guess that's one way to look at it... -
Good on him. He had a lousy situation his rookie year, and was buried on the Bills with no shot at playing time. It looks like he has shown his new team enough to get a shot, and I hope he has a great game. Even if his ceiling is career backup, that's a pretty good gig if you can get it. I personally think it's fun to see where all the Bills' draft picks end up. How else would you know how well they draft over the years?

Didn't McKenzie have the game of his life subbing for Beasley late last year? Either way, it's only Wenesday and Omicron is spreading like wildfire. We could be looking at a league-wide pause any day now. I think pretty much everyone not living alone in remote Siberia is going to get it sooner or later, vaccinated or not. Here's hoping the vax provides some symptom relief and that it's truly a milder strain to begin with.

Patty Smyth Pat Benetar Patricia Arquette Steve Christie had some great PATs in his day.

Does Allen miss having Barkley in the room?

Pretty sure Davis Webb is his right hand man, so I would be more concerned if DW left town. -
Was this the worst upset loss in team history?
skibum replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is this your first season as a Bills fan? Remember losing to the Steeler's practice squad with a playoff berth on the line? For starters... -
Hats off to the guy. He held down an NFL roster spot for FOUR YEARS despite his only real playing time being historically bad. He probably made more money than I ever will in my entire, long, brutal career. I love guys like Peterman.

Sanders took catches away from everyone. They're still a top 5 WR group in the league. Nothing to see here, only problem is maybe they could have spent Sanders' money and roster spot on a competent Guard instead, and still had a great WR group. Allen will have to figure out how to get Sanders, Diggs, and Beasley each 100 YPG if everyone is going to look great on paper this year.

Trubisky is a great insurance policy, and there is nobody else on the roster to fill that role. They would need to get Fitz in return, and I can't see Beane making a trade without improving the team for this year's playoff run, so any deal would also have to bring another player back to Buffalo. Preferably an interior OL. Why would he trade Trubisky for a pick unless they were out of the playoff mix? If anything, Beane should be sending picks with Trubisky to get a nice return for this year's playoff run. I'm thinking Mitch plus a day 3 pick for Fitz plus a Guard.

Ridin' Free with the Buffalo, Here I Go! -
I was just thinking about how likely it seems that Henry will be less of a factor come playoff time, either from acute injury or just from being worn down to the nub. I guess it's happening sooner than I thought. Sucks for him and the Titans, but I still think Tannehill is a gamer and the Titans are a solid team even without Henry. Just not as good as the Bills.

Anyone Have This Frustration With The Titans Game
skibum replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looking at the big picture - It's not like they went out and laid an egg. They lost a close game on the road, to a good team with a RB from Tecmo Bowl; made a lot more good plays than bad ones, and scored over 30 with even turnover ratio. While i certainly wish they had done a few things differently, made fewer mistakes and won, I could hardly be frustrated with the game. -
I didn't think it was a 'bad loss'. You could argue it was winnable for sure, but you have to give credit to the Titans D and Derrick Henry for making plays when they needed to. Also, the game before the bye week is arguably the best one of the season to lose. The team now has two weeks to stew over their disappointment and stay hungry, rather than pat themselves on the back and rest up.

A few thoughts about the Titans game, in no particular order
skibum replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Less than 50% because they would have to make the field goal first, which has its own probability of not happening. -
Should NFL refs start being suspended for idiotic calls?
skibum replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought the refs made the right calls last night, but what was up with all the deliberating? Total waste of time, slowed the game down horribly. -
You forgot about Bass having every single KO returned. What is up with him kicking off from a stand-still? He never got one into the end zone all game. It wasn't what cost the Bills the game, but WTF?

Can't wait until the Bills offense finally starts clicking
skibum replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Highest scoring team in the league and we're talking about how the offense isn't good enough?
