  1. No, McDermott just has a way better team on the field.
  2. I'm just grateful that 2 of the other 3 teams in the division are potentially facing years of struggle while the Bills are still within a window of success. I'll take any help we can get!
  3. Another nice example to go with the Cordy Glenn fleecing. I'll give honorable mention to the Mario Addison acquisition. Not a world-beater, but consistently better than a lot of people want to acknowledge, a stable vet presence and consummate professional, and he just had a very solid season. As the signing/player has been smack-talked a fair amount by the fans, I guess you could call it an underrated move.
  4. Did you mean Beef Tips on Weck? Mmmmmmm, beef tips on weck...
  5. Kind of a slap in the face to cut him on the eve of playing his former team, but I guess that's business. In any case, why not bring him in for depth now, then see what happens in training camp. Maybe he plays at his best with the group/scheme in Buffalo. He could end up being a solid rotation guy who comes back for less money. On that note, I have no idea what his contract looks like and what that would mean for the Bills if they brought him in.
  6. Yes, they should wait until the season is over to select the players, but I don't think it should matter if their teams make the playoffs or not. One would expect, though, that if the voting took place after the season that voters would factor team success into their thinking, especially for QBs. I think you would have a lot of worthy players getting passed up because they are on a bad team. They should also change the game itself to flag football or some other alternative format - just do something entertaining where there's little risk of injury. It's ridiculous to have a full contact game where everyone is desperately trying to avoid getting hurt. So many of the top players find any excuse not to go because of it.
  7. Once you get below about 60, it's pretty much a garbage game. It's not really worth comparing a 17 to a 34 or whatever. It's not like the guy who had the 34 game was twice as good as the guy who had the 17.
  8. Ha ha, funny post! Believe me, many of us have been there! The Pats were one of the worst franchises in football for decades. The Bills used to smack Steve Grogan and company around all the time. It feels like old times to me!
  9. That's crazy when you think that Marino maybe ran for 2 of those! I hated that guy, but man he could throw.
  10. Hopefully it was not a major tear and he can recover fully. It seems like players can recover from partial Achilles tears these days, and hope to get back to where they were prior. Wishing Ike a speedy and complete recovery!
  11. This will forever be known as the "You, You, You Game".
  12. I live in New England. It feels great. Unfortunately, almost nobody is at work this week, so I have no noses in which to rub this sweet victory, but I can wait.
  13. It was fun watching Belichick's reaction to that play. It's like he had no idea such a thing was even possible within our physical universe.
  14. He ran hard, but I sure wish the O line could block better for him. He can't carry five defenders forward for every yard on every carry. An actual hole would be nice, imagine what he could do with one of those.
  15. Watching it a few times, I think Diggs says, "Shut the F up", but McKenzie runs in and says something else, and their words merge together to sound like... The other thing everyone heard.
  16. A most interesting active roster today. A lot of opportunities for guys to step up; I guess that's one way to look at it...
  17. Good on him. He had a lousy situation his rookie year, and was buried on the Bills with no shot at playing time. It looks like he has shown his new team enough to get a shot, and I hope he has a great game. Even if his ceiling is career backup, that's a pretty good gig if you can get it. I personally think it's fun to see where all the Bills' draft picks end up. How else would you know how well they draft over the years?
  18. Didn't McKenzie have the game of his life subbing for Beasley late last year? Either way, it's only Wenesday and Omicron is spreading like wildfire. We could be looking at a league-wide pause any day now. I think pretty much everyone not living alone in remote Siberia is going to get it sooner or later, vaccinated or not. Here's hoping the vax provides some symptom relief and that it's truly a milder strain to begin with.
  19. Yeah, and I expressed interest in sleeping with Scarlet Johansen.
  20. Patty Smyth Pat Benetar Patricia Arquette Steve Christie had some great PATs in his day.
  21. Pretty sure Davis Webb is his right hand man, so I would be more concerned if DW left town.
  22. I've got Star on Defense and Beasley on offense. Beas seems to rebound from quiet games with really big ones.
  23. Is this your first season as a Bills fan? Remember losing to the Steeler's practice squad with a playoff berth on the line? For starters...
