  1. 1-Edmunds has no clue how to diagnose what's happening during a play. 2- I lost count of how many times we had Newton in the backfield, only to let him slip out of the tackle. 3- Ford was pretty decent in run blocking
  2. Breece Hall looks slower than Singletary in that highlight. If he's routinely getting caught from behind vs average college teams, he's too slow for the NFL. He's a nice runner & reads blocks well, but he's going to run a 4.7. He's a day 3 pick.
  3. There are only 2 ways to get an impact RB in the draft. 1) Draft one in Rounds 1-2 (preferably 2) 2) Draft one later & get extremely lucky We already have a pair of 3rd Round RBs, and it's clear they're not impact players. Lucking out with a Kamara or Kareem Hunt in the 3rd is rare. Sure there's success stories, but the vast majority of 3rd round & later RBs are JAGs. Who's to say the third time would be a charm if we dive back the to 3rd round well? Can we afford to waste another year of Josh's prime with a weak run game?
  4. Poor James Robinson...
  5. Really? Diggs has been an excellent deep threat his entire career. He's had 2 incidents with tracking recently, but that's not an ongoing problem, he gets open deep. The issue is how do we give Josh 4 seconds to unleash a deep bomb with our OL?
  6. Whoah! That's just crazy talk.
  7. They also need a "Run Game Coordinator". If Daboll sticks around, it's obvious he's not a run game expert, we need help. And a new O-Line Coordinator while we're at it. I can't see Daboll getting a head coaching gig after this season. How could he come up with a satisfying answer to the first interview question: "Why did you only run 5% of the time in so many games?" So if he's not here next year, it'll be due to firing.
  8. Even the Edmund apologists on this board have to admit it after this game. There's no way anyone could look at the impact Devin White is making in the same game, and say that Tremaine is anything but a major liability. But he did tip a pass today. And did I mention that he's still only 19 years old...
  9. Nice! I have the same jersey framed in my basement, I wish somebody would've given it to me for free...
  10. If Hill starts on Thursday, he could have a monster rushing game. He is exactly the type of QB that worries me right now. If we insist on playing Nickel the whole game vs him & Kamara, ouch...
  11. Buying these seems risky as hell. You spend $70 hoping for a Josh Allen autographed ball, but you could get Torrell Troup.
  12. Living in the Chicago area, seeing the Bears & local news, I already knew how utterly horrendous of a hire Jauron would be. I vividly remember hearing the bills were going to interview him, and my heart sank into my stomach. To ease the pain, I told myself that there's no way they'd actually hire him, but I somehow knew deep inside that it was going to happen. I just knew, it was exactly the type of thing Ralph would do. The hiring process was like watching a train wreck, knowing there'd be no survivors.
  13. What a complete imbecile Bell is. He was on top of the world in Pittsburgh, probably the best RB in the league. Decides to sit out a complete season in his prime & passes up the $8.6M he would've made that year, because he wants to be the highest paid. Ends up on the Jets a year later & stinks it up royally. Gets released a year later & signs with KC to try and chase a Super bowl as a backup instead of going somewhere with the chance to start. KC makes the super bowl, but Bell doesn't even see the field. Now likely out of the league just 3 seasons after the holdout.
  14. Unexpected Dud for me is Dawkins. He hasn't been terrible, but is playing at a much lower level than most of us were expecting. I know there are post-Covid issues, and he seems to be getting some mojo back now, but I doubt anyone predicted he'd be average to slightly below at the halfway point of the season. Ford can't be called a Dud, because he's been exactly as terrible as everyone here expected.
  15. Spencer Brown has been our best O-Lineman. Sure, he's had some lapses, but far fewer than the other OL. I have no doubt he's our future at RT, or LT if Dawkins can't get back to his old form. Getting Brown back, and kicking Williams back to OG will help, but that isn't enough. If nothing else, Brown's attitude should fire the other guys up. I have no problem kicking Dawkins to Guard, if it gets the OL back on track. Brown looked good at LT in the couple snaps he's gotten. The only possible band-aid currently on the roster is Bates, he's hungry and needs to get a shot somewhere. I'd like to see either of the following OL combos: Dawkins-Bates-Morse-Williams-Brown Brown-Dawkins-Morse-Williams-Bates
  16. WTF is it gonna take for Bates to get a shot? If he is truly a backup at all 5 OL spots, at least try him over Ford for a series, it can't possibly be worse. I am dumbfounded that we made no halftime adjustments to the OL. Ford down-blocking to triple team a rusher & letting a DT fly directly past him to Josh was the last straw for me. I know we don't know the blocking assigments, but it definitely wasn't supposed to be a triple team. That guy is lost.
  17. Correct, the same matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
  18. All receivers practice one-handed catches nowadays. On the off chance they get a pass that they can only reach with 1 hand, or the DB is holding their arm, they need to be able to make a good attempt at a one-handed catch. Practicing it often increases the likelihood they can do it in-game.
  19. I'll be flying from Chicago for the Week 17 Atlanta game, I haven't been to the Ralph in about 15 years & I'll have my 2 teen sons with me for their first experience. I'm taking notes of all these responses. Do people sell food in the tailgate lots? I'll only be in BUF 2 days & don't really want to buy a mini grill just to leave there.
  20. He's a 1-trick pony, and he's not even elite at that trick anymore. His last good year was 2014, we don't need a past-his-prime undersized speedster who's lost a step. Even if he was released & cost the minimum, and had no baggage, I don't see Beane even giving this a second thought.
  21. I'm surprised there's even a single vote for Mahomes over Josh/Tre. If we would've drafted Mahomes, he'd have been thrown into the fire day 1 & wouldn't have had near the success he has in KC. Then he'd have asked for a trade when contract #2 came up, and we'd have traded him for a 1st rounder, then been forced to start over and take Mac Jones in the 2021 draft. We'd be the same old Bills for eternity without that trade in 2017. Josh Allen is our destiny. Where we really effed up the 2017 Draft was taking Zay in Round 2. Could've had our pick of Kupp, Godwin, Kamara, or Dalvin Cook.
  22. Yep, any trade we consider has to be IOL.
  23. I coach 8th grade football & we run a Rub Route play, modeled after the Brady to Edelman plays we used to see so often. It obviously only works against man coverage. The outside WR runs a quick in, the CB covering him runs with him. He runs right at the slot DB that is covering the Slot WR, stops, turns & looks for the pass while staying in his way. The Slot WR runs a quick out into the flat, while the slot DB gets hung up in the traffic. As long as the receiver doesn't actively block or initiate contact, it's perfectly legal to get in the way of a defender. If the Defense catches on & covers it, the receiver doing the "rub" is usually left open for the same result. We use it mainly for 2pt conversions, as passing XP conversions are worth 2 points, vs only 1pt for running it.
  24. If we had added Watt, we would've still drafted Rousseau. We obviously would not have also drafted Boogie, and Creed Humphrey went 2 picks later. That would've been great, but Watt wanted to be paid for the player he was 3 years ago, not who he is now, so it never happened. That said, Watt will not play 17 games this year anyway, so I'm glad it's not with us..
  25. No way he'll win it, but it's awesome that a Bills' rookie is getting their due props for a change. Getting his name out there in these things is great for him, since the popularity contest aspect is a huge part of NFL awards & recognition.
