  1. I couldn't agree more. I'd love to see Hughes & Oliver getting 85% of snaps. It's also going to be hard sign FA D-linemen if they know going in that they'll only play roughly half the snaps. If your stats are capped by mandatory playing rotation, you can't meet contract escalators, get pro bowl recognition, etc.
  2. I'd offer him $7M/yr, which I think he'd take, & make him the starting OC.
  3. I just saw a leaked Bud Light commercial that's supposed to air during the game. I wonder if they just made it, then decided not to use it.
  4. Brown has almost no trade value. It's not just the Bills who know he's not worth a $9.53M cap hit, every team does, and nobody is taking that on. If a team wants him, they'll wait to see if he gets cut, then offer less than half of that amount.
  5. SPOTRAC has him estimated at $6.5M/year. I'd be all over that. Part of the problem with our 2020 DEs is that aside from Hughes, none of them are top level athletes. They can play, but struggle to get to the fast QBs. Even if he's not getting 10 sacks, Clowney would bring something most of our guys don't have, and he'll never be cheaper than he is right now.
  6. Just imagine if we'd drafted Watt instead of Dareus...
  7. I think it'll be this, with checking down to RB passes more also. This assumes they add a good receiving RB for Singletary's role.
  8. Brown was really effective early this season as well, prior to the injury. People seem to forget those games when he was fully healthy.
  9. I hear a lot of talk about how the run blocking is the problem. While I agree our run blocking sucked, that doesn't change the fact that Singletary isn't good enough to be an effective RB. Even behind the Colts' O-line, he'd still be JAG. You just can't be a solid NFL running back with his speed, unless you're a 230lb+ bruiser- and even most bruisers are faster than Singletary. I don't think we should cut him, but we need to add a RB and relegate him to RB3 spot duty.
  10. He's also valuable as Scout Team QB, helped us a great deal with Ravens game prep. Not to mention our only Slot WR besides Beasley. He's a keeper.
  11. Ertz looked like hot garbage this year, he has lost more than a step. Not to mention his $12.5M cap hit...
  12. I think it's more likely that Feliciano comes back is the starting Center. Morse could be a cap casualty, he has been no better than league average overall & is paid like a Pro Bowler. Feliciano is a better OC than OG in my mind.
  13. If we can get a player like Najee Harris or Etienne, at #30 I'd be all-in. If we can't get a stud every-down back, we need a Thunder & Lightning. I think Moss can be the Thunder, but right now we have Thunder & Sleet (Singletary). If Harris/Etienne are both gone at #30, we should draft Defense & get a speed RB in the 2nd or 3rd.
  14. I'd like to see the following: 1- Let Milano walk (if he wants >$8M) 2- Pick-up Edmunds option 3- Sign a MLB 4- Insert Edmunds into Milano's role D- Keep Klein, Dodson, & D Phillips around as depth
  15. I think this board would revolt if they took a slot corner in the 1st round.
  16. We're not paying a RB. We have too many FAs & needed extensions to pay 2nd contract money to a RB. We'll add one in the draft. Drafting one at #30 would have more impact on next season than any other position. I know we have other needs, but next year is the heart of our window.
  17. Dane was a stud when he played, we really could've used him in the playoffs. McD seems like a high school coach who only plays seniors, sticking with Norman who was bad all year aside from a couple plays over Dane who looked clearly better. No idea why he won't give young guys a shot, even after they prove they can play.
  18. One big thing for me regarding the D-Line is getting rid of the constant rotation. Having 8 guys playing around 50% of the snaps is moronic, nobody else does that. Play the best guys the majority of the game, and the backups get the scraps. How are Hughes or Oliver supposed to truly elevate their game when they're playing only 55%? It's also gonna be a tough sell to a stud pass-rusher to come here, if they're not playing the entire game. McD needs to scrap this.
  19. It's definitely McD's Defense, but Frazier has been basically a puppet. Frazier's background in the Tampa-2 is about the only thing more antiquated than McD's. I'd like a new D Coordinator to come in with fresh ideas, not just be a yes man, & get McD to reconsider his old "bend but don't break" ways. Frazier offers nothing, aside from being well-liked. Add in the two 3rd rounders we'd get if Frazier leaves, and I'll help him pack.
  20. I'd like to see the heavy DL rotation go away. You want to see if Oliver is good, play him the majority of the game. I don't know why McD insists on doing so much rotation, you have guys like Oliver Hughes playing at most 55% of the snaps just to get other guys playing time. I don't think any other team does this.
  21. I think Marlowe would be solid if anything happens to Poyer or Hyde. I don't see this is as a big need if Marlowe is back.
  22. Draft Zaven Collins to take Edmunds' role, Edmonds take's over Milano's role, Let Milano walk.
  23. Josh did everything he could. There wasn't much more available to him with multiple rushers in his face 90% of the time & WRs being covered well when they weren't being mugged. This loss is on the Defense, O-Line, & most of all Coaches- very little to do with Allen.
  24. Clowney. He's only 27. He has 3 sacks in the past 2 seasons combined (much due to injury), so his price tag will never be lower. Spotrac has his estimated market value at 1yr/ $6.5M. No brainer for me.
