He's a 1-trick pony, and he's not even elite at that trick anymore. His last good year was 2014, we don't need a past-his-prime undersized speedster who's lost a step. Even if he was released & cost the minimum, and had no baggage, I don't see Beane even giving this a second thought.

I'm surprised there's even a single vote for Mahomes over Josh/Tre. If we would've drafted Mahomes, he'd have been thrown into the fire day 1 & wouldn't have had near the success he has in KC. Then he'd have asked for a trade when contract #2 came up, and we'd have traded him for a 1st rounder, then been forced to start over and take Mac Jones in the 2021 draft. We'd be the same old Bills for eternity without that trade in 2017. Josh Allen is our destiny. Where we really effed up the 2017 Draft was taking Zay in Round 2. Could've had our pick of Kupp, Godwin, Kamara, or Dalvin Cook.

Yep, any trade we consider has to be IOL.

Question: what is a pick? Also Cover1 all-22 review of Bills D

I coach 8th grade football & we run a Rub Route play, modeled after the Brady to Edelman plays we used to see so often. It obviously only works against man coverage. The outside WR runs a quick in, the CB covering him runs with him. He runs right at the slot DB that is covering the Slot WR, stops, turns & looks for the pass while staying in his way. The Slot WR runs a quick out into the flat, while the slot DB gets hung up in the traffic. As long as the receiver doesn't actively block or initiate contact, it's perfectly legal to get in the way of a defender. If the Defense catches on & covers it, the receiver doing the "rub" is usually left open for the same result. We use it mainly for 2pt conversions, as passing XP conversions are worth 2 points, vs only 1pt for running it. -
Should we be thanking JJ Watt for not choosing Buffalo?
947 replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we had added Watt, we would've still drafted Rousseau. We obviously would not have also drafted Boogie, and Creed Humphrey went 2 picks later. That would've been great, but Watt wanted to be paid for the player he was 3 years ago, not who he is now, so it never happened. That said, Watt will not play 17 games this year anyway, so I'm glad it's not with us.. -
No way he'll win it, but it's awesome that a Bills' rookie is getting their due props for a change. Getting his name out there in these things is great for him, since the popularity contest aspect is a huge part of NFL awards & recognition.

Mack looks good tonight…. Should we inquire about his services?

No way. He's running OK behind some fantastic blocking tonight, but he's shot. Here's the list of NFL RBs who have had any successful seasons after a torn achilles: 1. n/a 2. n/a 3. n/a That's right, there are zero... -
It's crazy how awful this Colts offense is. Just last year, with a past his prime Rivers, they were a very solid offense. Wentz is bad, but the play calling is even worse. They clearly don't trust him to throw downfield, unless it's a 2-minute drill.
-
It's crazy that he has 5 TDs in 5 games, and didn't score a single college TD.

Through 5 games: Bills have #1 soring Defense AND Offense.

Maybe we can get a fair weather game & really show the world. -
Dish sucks, they drop channels all the time to strong arm networks into lowering their fee to carry it. They did the same with NFL Network & HBO a year or 2 ago, it took a couple months to get it back. I was sick of waiting & dropped Dish. Who know how long it'll drag this time.

#1 Easiest schedule vs Offenses is an asinine stat. Bills have played the easiest because the teams they played got shut down. They couldn't be the #1 Defense without that being true.

LeBron James has hopped on the Josh Allen train

He probably just finished playing Madden with Allen before posting that. -
Mac Jones looks like later career Chad Pennington. He seems smart but that arm is a noodle. Chad did OK back then, but it'll be hard to sustain a good career in the modern era with that arm.

I still don't understand why we cut Forrest Lamp. I thought he had a shot to be our best OG. Not sure how bad his injury was, but I'd have rather seen him IR'd. -
Thurs nite football: Jaguars at Bengals

I'd bet every GM in the league would take Herbert over Lamar Jackson if given the choice. I bet at least half would prefer Burrow. -
I remember back when our "extra opponent" was announced as Washington. There were tons of posts here saying that we got screwed and they're a tough team, speculating that their D-line would give us fits. Seems like it worked out just fine. The schedule doesn't matter, just beat the team across from you each week. If we can beat KC, we'll be in the AFC driver's seat.

I hope Bills make it 14 - 14 players who catch TDs
947 replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In addition to the 5 who already done it, we have: 6- Beasley- lock 7- McKenzie- lock 8- Singletary- very likely 9- Sweeney- probably 10- Kumerow- probably (may take a WR injury) 11- Breida- possible 12- Josh- maybe 13- Gilliam- maybe 14- Spencer Brown or other O-lineman- slight possibility 15- Taiwan Jones- slight possibility -
Bills aren't only team with stadium issues
947 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The majority of the parking for Bears games is in underground garages, they don't even allow tailgating in those, plus you'd basically be in a cave full of cars. Plus they're a couple miles away from the stadium and you have to take a shuttle bus. There's still a couple smaller outdoor lots near the stadium, but they're hard to obtain. There used to be tons of outdoor parking back in the day, but nowadays entire area around Soldier Field is park land & of course the museums, there's literally no more space to add a parking lot, unless they knock down a few skyscapers. There's no bars anywhere near it either. The Ralph has plenty of flaws, but WNY people have no idea how good they have it with the game day experience. -

It's the same stadium. The original Soldier Field is still intact, they just added $500M to it so that it looks like a giant spaceship landed on top of the original Soldier Field. It still sucks, and the parking/tailgate situation is the worst in the NFL. I turn down free tickets every year because it's such a hassle. -
Kelce isn't really even a TE, he lines up in the slot or out wide a lot more than he's inline. Kittle is the best true TE in the game today.

I don't know if anybody can get 10 sacks with all the DL rotation we do. It seems to me that AJE & Rousseau are clearly outplaying Hughes & Addison through 2 games, but they'll still never see more than 55% of the snaps. I really wish McD would ride the better players.
